Chief Activist for d restoration of d mandate,Gani Fawehinmi (Yoruba) given National award.
INEC Chairman, Prof Humphrey Nwosu ( Igbo) not given any award. This man conducted d freest & fairest election ever, even when he was told by the Military not to announce d result & even to discontinue d announcement of the result,he went ahead to be announcing it until d Military came there & arrested him & he still went ahead & announced Abiola d Winner of d election. But this man was never mentioned or even given a Village award by ds government. Remember that if this man had danced to d tune of the Military & not gone ahead to announce d result & said Abiola was d Winner of d election, there would not have been any ground for Abiola & Gani Fawehinmi to talk or be given awards now.
Thank You |

SpecialAdviser: If u don't facts, then ask around. I have not gone to ENUGU town for long to discover how he is fairing in the city but have seen many completed project where I have been to.
Ezimo in udenu LGA road Ezime double bridges along the road Orba Imilike road Opi-Nsukka road dualization with street lights Nsukka township roads Ninth mile by pass Imilike obollo road Opi-obollo fg highway.
Like I said, these are the ones I saw with my naked eyes since I am from around there.
I learnt he did the same round all rural areas in Enugu state.
His plan is to focus in Enugu city in his second tenure. Still he has done some projects there. He pays salary every 28th and yet not borrowing much. Although I heard he z owing pensioners. I pray he pays them soonest.
Ugwuanyi is good please. Most of the projects mentioned are not only skewed to a particular region but were in advanced stages when he took over. I realise that government is a continuum but I'll like him to take on more relevant daring projects I must commend him on sanitation though. However, in other aspects of basic urban running eg road, street and traffic lights maintenance, creation of novel investment opportunities etc he is grossly underperforming |

Looks like the present government has zero interest in the maintenance of very basic infrastructure in the capital. The traffic lights and especially street lights across most parts of the city including Independence layout, WTC, GRA etc, are no longer functional. Potholes are springing up around IMT campus 1 Independence layout and will soon render that road impassable. The patch work done along the Okpara square road is very rough and subpar for the capital yet an obnoxious bill board with his face plastered on it, hangs at that round about. The railings at Akwata are in dire need of maintenance. There has been NO new major project in the capital since he became governor. Enugu is fast losing the serenity and efficiency that attracted so many people to invest in real estate which provided numerous employment opportunities for people. The positive part I see is sanitation. I must say that there has been some improvement but it has to extend to the outskirts to include Agbani road and Gariki axis as well as along the Enugu Portharcourt express where some shanty settlements now dump refuse along the divides and flyovers ( terrible eyesore). Also his works at Nsukka are superb, I just wish the capital can have a glimpse of that quality. Gburugbu as far as I'm concerned does not care for the capital his focus is elsewhere. Enugu capital is less efficient now than it was, before he assumed power which is a very sad thing. |

Car Talk › Re: Is It Compulsory To Do Wheel Balancing And Alignment After Tyre Change by eaglechild(op): 9:48am On Dec 28, 2017 |
BijopsPius: House,
It is not paramount to carry out wheel balancing and alignment after tyre change out. However,if you change tie rods and ball joints, those services need to be done. To know if your vehicle needs wheel balancing -------If you nioticed increased steering wheel vibration when you drive to 70km/hr or more Alignment should be done when you noticed drifting to one side while in motion, side wearing of tires (in and out). Also, always change and fix tires of same profile and make. Never have different tire makes to avoid issues. All new tires should be at the front wheel and old tires to the rear if you can not have all the tires replaced same time. I didn't notice any abnormality rather ride was smoother after tyre change. Still took it to have it checked out, the alignment was fine and after looking at the wheels they said I needn't do wheel balancing since the ride was okay. |

I want to know if this is a myth or reality.
Must one do wheel balancing and alignment after purchase of new tyres. |

This is very sad.
However, it is a direct consequence of poor road construction combined with reckless driving. How can you widen a road and tar it from median to gutter without any provision for walk way, pedestrian overhead bridges or zebra crossing.
The roads are terribly unfriendly to pedestrians. |

9jakohai: Biafra or no biafra....when runway is bad,,,....it must be repaired.
Or if bad accident happens during the festive period...
Besides....Uyo, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Benin...and Owerri Airports are STILL OPEN. None of these airports are less than 3 hours drive from Enugu. The closure is ill timed considering that the the involved dates are the busiest and will cause tremendous hardship and potential loss of lives to hundreds of travellers who will be forced to reroute and end up in the dilapidated and congested federal roads they were trying to avoid. The repair has been overdue for so many months now so waiting till the busiest time of the year to effect it just seems like a deliberate act to punish travellers. |
