America's double standard. They refused to sell to previous govt citing human right abuse by military in the north eastern Nigeria. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/169264-why-nigerian-military-has-difficulty-getting-arms-from-america-u-s-govt.html How on Earth were they selling to Buhari? Is it that the human right abuse indices have dropped under this govt? |
What a bunch of jokers taking Nigeria on a ride. So Attorney General, Prof Sagey, Prof Osibanjo and even Rotimi Akeredolu could not advise the APC party on this very clear issue. They kept silence bc OGA at the top is pulling the string. |
And those who were mocking the Malawian president for attending the same meeting should rethink. Is Kenyan President attending too? |
kense88:If people are serious they have to demand it. They should not relent even in the face of obstacles and retributions. If they keep on persisting, it will be done bc the government asnwereth to the people. |
A finished country. How do we undo all these systematic corruption, how? |
Tell it to kindergartens! |
I like the title...as well as the boldeness of police to openly tell Nigerians to stop offering bribe. That's a good news for today. |
kense88:1. Sort out Leadership first, especially the process of selecting one. 2. Change the government structure to be less central, less cumbersome. Let Nigerians sit down together and talk about the above without fear or hidden agenda. Let's be fair to everyone. |
morgstreme:And all you agbayas that helped to run the country down should be ashamed of yourselves. What legacy will or have you bequeathed to the younger ones but extra-ordinary corruption and dysfunctional system. You guys failed. |
authority2006:Bros, what goes round comes round. Remember Buhari chase them out first. What do u expect from them now that Nigeria is not doing well? Of course they'll want us to fall so that they will take our place as Africa powerhouse. That's why our leadership and structural problem needs to be sorted out. |
It is already a big pile of wreck and could be a write off just like Somalia by 2023, unless the needful is done. |
Why did it take you so long to realise the massive damage being done by this govt. A certain man's leadership that is causing so much pains on the citizens |
PDP should be ashamed of itself. When you have these terrible characters controlling the party, it will never move forward. |
authority2006:For me, the message is more important than the messenger. In deed, what goes round comes round. |
So wetin we Africans fit do for ourselves eh? Even the sickness(malaria) we dey for Africa, na still oyibo wan help find solution. |
Whether it is fake or real, the message itself is irrefutable. |
jahsharon:All of the above. |
Speculative journalism. Beware! |
Definitely it's going to be a walk over. There is no visible opposition to APC in Lagos. I'm sure it is going to be a landslide, heavy trouncing. |
mastertek:I completely agree. Yes, at their levels they should know. |
Leave the children to rant as much as they would like, but the message from the ops is sound and clear to the PDP people. I'm not sure how that would warrant the unnecessary tsunamis here. Guys on NL political section, kindly do check your mental health from time to time, bc e be like say water don dey pass for garri oo here! |
Unfortunately, Leopard cannot change its spots. The same group of people, that called themselves APC, enjoyed freedom of speech and expression about 6 years ago, but now would not tolerate any constructive criticism. |
We don hear . St. Buhari! The one that was once a PTF chairman. I dey hear. |
How come the police and the magistrate don't know that the law has been repealed. And both are interpreter and enforcer of law respectively. Even the four banks too with all their legal units also failed to grasp this seemingly basic law. I'm not getting it ![]() |
Reno is a confirmed noise maker. Jack of all trades. He lacked substance to debate on such area of history especially as it concerns Igbos. He should chill or be ready to face persistent caning. Igbos no dey forget. He should ask Buhari. |
georgeakins:He wasn't necessarily pushed out per se. In fact he disappointed some of his die-hard loyalist who had wanted him to stay put, that nothing will happen. But he stood on his word that no Nigerian blood should be shed b/c of his ambition. Would you say the same with Buhari? I doubt. Of the late Haitian president have respectfully bowed out when it was due, he would have been alive today. |
folu4real:My dear, anything is possible in this wild world. Even a relative or a friend can betray and sell out. Trust no one! |
If he had left power when his time was up, he would have been alive today. Others, learn from Goodluck Jonathan, and don't overstay your welcome, e get why! |
Omoluabi1stborn:Falls under No. 9 |
SW try gan in United approach to facing Nigeria troubles...that one I give them big gbosa!!! Igbos will bring the thought provoking ideas but struggles badly to get it implemented, I guess it is lack of United Front or too much pressures from within and outside. Little comparative analysis of the two southern neighbours: 1. Regional security: SW (done & dusted), SE (confusion) 2. Grazing Bills: SW(done), SE(no clear ground) 3. Governors showing United Front: SW(clearly & consistent), SE(sometimes) 4. National Assembly: SW(more United), SE(only a lone voice) 5. Judiciary: SW(harmonizing across), SE(not yet planned) 6. Regional Integration: SW(more focused with master plan), SE( no master plan) 7. Ohaneze/Afenifere: SW(more vocal and attack minded), SE(on and off, with little bite or push) 8. Quality of political structure: SW(dynamic and more robust), SE(not well managed nor adaptable structure) 9. Agitation for self determination: SW(developing), SE(more determined, widespread but still not fully organized) 10. Favour from current govt(nationa cake): SW(reaped bountifully), SE(little or nothing) Did I miss anything... Copyright@EagleNest2021 |
VP Osibanjo's political mentor. The problem will not be Igbos because if they write you off like they did on Buhari, it will be difficult to win their hearts back. He should look towards North, if at all there will be redemption but I sense they won't like to support someone who they might not be able to control. |
He will fail like OBJ if he tries it so he better not think about it. Besides, he's a disaster when it comes to leadership so what exactly will be the motivation? |
