It means Nigeria have not learnt their lessons yet. |
motayoayinde:. It depends on the definition of peace. A merely surficial peace with covert slavery of Afghans is neither peace nor freedom to me. Their first time in power was full of extremities which they too acknowledged. I only pity Afghan women, they will be set back again to medieval times when women are treated as nothing. That's how it will look if BH is allowed to ruin Nigeria, and yes we'll all keep quiet for the sake of peace. And US invaded Afghanistan as a fall out of 9/11 otherwise they stood to gain nothing. |
That man in that video sowed the seed of hatred and jealousy against Igbos that have bedeviled Nigeria till today. He will rather throw away merits and hardwork than allow Igbos to ascend meritoriously. As educated and eloquent as he was, he was just vituperating biles that is poisonous to minds of feebles. For me, it was an assertion borne our of fear and insecurity. Very unnecessary! |
Did El Rufai use the word "insult", hmmmmnn! I thought I know the origin of the word "insult" in Nigeria. |
joyandfaith:Well, time shall tell if it is the best decision under the sun with those kind of medieval people in power. US shouldn't have left abruptly, only for Taliban to run Afghanistan over in matters of days without resistance, haba what have they been doing since in Kabul? This is a kind of surrender. |
What goes round, comes round. No further comment. |
I didn't read Reuben's article but "who doesn't know that Babangida messed Nigeria up with his style of govt". I started understanding what political deceit, manoeuvre and institutional corruption is, under his govt. The self acclaimed "evil genius", did he regret anything while in power? |
Let's be careful how we use the word "terrorist". The current government only used once and in error against some group of people in the East that agitated for self determination a couple of years ago. Since then, they have refused to use the word again even for obvious ones. |
kevoh:Yes, but the reason they went their was borne out of 9/11, what's their guarantee that terrorist threat is now over with this kind of people in government. I think, overall, it is a big set back. |
Interesting Characters. For me, I'm neither a fan of Secondus nor Wike. Both lack leadership qualities. The reality is that PDP is not doing well as main opposition party and that's why APC is having a field day of impunity, unchecked. |
Taliban will take Afghans back again to medieval time. US wouldn't have pulled out. |
What then is traditional marriage if not to pay bride price, the rest are add-ons and ceremony. Or may be the bride price wasn't big enough or the man didnt complete it? I'm kind of lost. ![]() But why someone who called himself a pastor go and marry someone's wife. It baffles me ![]() |
If you're uncomfortable with their visit to south east, the worst you can do is to ask them to leave or plant an intelligent officer to monitor their activities. But arresting and detaining them for 20 days without justifiable reason is difficult to defend. These are not Nigerians that are used to abuses by authorities, these are Israeli citizens. |
What an insult ![]() Nigeria govt should take the highest measures to retaliate...go after their business interests in Nigeria (eg. Indomie). That will send strong message to other countries who mess up Nigeria citizens. |
Nigeria Politicians sef ![]() Ehm, what of Soludo, what exactly is his blue print for Anambra? |
And the cycle of madness and impunity goes on until the country becomes uninhabitable, then we'll all beg to part ways. Anyway FBI will not pander to the whims and caprices of a selected few Nigerian tribalists, at far as justice is the main theme. |
Religion wan kill us, and still we are not the top-notch of human beings. Why the hippocrisy then? |
With all these yearly prigmages, how has these affected our moral behaviour? zero, nill, nothing, we are still what we are. |
Animal farm indeed abi den of robbers. |
The man should simply go to court and fight for justice. That secret marriage is null and void. It's absurd what the fake pastor and so called wife did. |
If Nigeria remains one, we have no other choice than to maintain the status quo. It was the mistake of 1914 that have kept us locked to this default. But if Nigeria become unbundled, then the mini nations in Nigeria will go with their respective languages as their own official language. |
A Political brat! What is he up to with all these weird debates. |
The man that preferred to be remembered as evil genius rather than visionary leader. Wetin I dey talk sef? |
You no dey shame Silva? |
They work maximum of 4 or 8 years and they are excessively paid like this. And some civil servants/ lecturers, etc work min of 35 years with nothing major to go home with. How do you pay pension to someone who commands bullion van? This is greed. |
I thought the same. Where merits still stands, you don't see them much. And carrying religion for head can be retrogressive. Power is all they crave for. |
Pastor is asking for the impossible. Is Pastor Bakare just waking up? This president doesn't care oooo if you like lament till tomorrow, he's not bothered at all. |
APC and illusion are inseparable. They've no idea the amount of damage they've caused Nigeria in its 6years in power. |
Valkrie:I see your points and I understand that Buhari's leadership method can make someone paranoid but on this particular one, it has no similar pattern. |
How come APC is this bad? It surprises me how lawless they are. They don't regard the judiciary at all. |
I don't think it has anything to do with punishing Hausas. No! Far from it. The reality is that the BDCs and banks connive to make money out of Nigeria's dire dollar situation. And the Hausas are the one that run BDCs. But the biggest wahala is that we don't produce enough products for export to earn dollars. We mainly rely on oil and may be remmitances from Nigerians in diaspora. |
