Police and robbers are business partners, one depend on the other to be relevant so they accommodate each other through unwritten gentleman agrrements

The police station in my hometown has been sacked on two occasions and for that period there was almost zero crime rate in the community

Normally crime rate goes down when the police is sacked form a community. That is what I have noticed.

Crime rate goes up only if you leave the police at the station and remove the police on the highway.

The police have a way of convincing armed robbers to come to the highway if you remove just the police on the highway and leaving others in the community. Just disband the police totally from a community and see peace envelop the community.

No two fighting case blown out of proportion, no armed robbery since the bad elements within the police that give support to robbers will no longer have the chance to operate and no using of police to oppress others.

We need thorough police reforms, minimum entry requirement should be 1st degree. Only government lawyers should determine if a case should go to court. And any case that can not be sent to court in 24 hours should end up in immediate free bail.
