Underground market could contest for the busiest spot in Turkey for Nigerians, located at the center of Aksaray, Fatih Istanbul, Same province that accommodates one of the major clothing markets, the immigration headquarters and the almighty cargo village.

From Agege bread to yam, melon even red oil(ignore the mixture though), there are just a few basic raw food items that may not be available at underground market.

CrimeRe: My Boyfriend Drugged And Raped Me. by Earthstorms(m): 11:46pm On Feb 07, 2021
Girl9999:
I created this account to hide my identity. I'm in a very emotional condition at the moment. I've been crying since morning. I've not left my house, not even for church. I've lost the will to live, all because of what happened yesterday evening.

I've been dating this guy for two months. I thought he was a great guy. He was always nice to me, smart and hard-working. I lost my virginity at the age of 18 in University and it was to someone that just wanted to have sex with me. He lied about loving me. All he wanted was sex and when he had his way he abandoned me and dated another girl in my department. Since then I've had a fear of relationships, most importantly of sex. I vowed to only have sex with someone I was going to marry; someone I was certain loved me.

When I met my boyfriend, I thought he was the one. We vibed well and we were both in the same field of work. Everything seemed to click. I opened up to him about my experience and my decision to have sex only when I was ready. He agreed and said he was going to respect my wishes.

Yesterday he visited me at my apartment. This wasn't the first time he was visiting me. We paid each other visits all the time. This time he brought a bottle of wine with him. I prepared food, we both eat and he served us some wine. The last thing I remember is taking few sips and then everything else is blurry.

Next thing I am waking up by 8am this morning with a severe headache, cramped legs and a sore feeling around my vagina. There was something that looked like dried semen on my left thigh and some around my breast. I could also perceive the scent of his perfume on my body. He raped me. The man that claimed to love me raped me. I haven't spoken to anyone since morning, all I've been doing is crying. My phone has been on silent all day.

I want to report him to the police but first I want to look at his face and ask why he would do this to me. I already planned on having sex with him soon. Why couldn't he wait? I want to involve my parents and his parents as well but I don't want this news to spread and take a hit on my reputation. I'm confused about what to do.

Why are men like this? I feel defiled and violated. My mind has been constantly flooded with suicidal thoughts all day. If I make it through this, I'm done with relationships forever.
Go for treatment immediately to protect yourself against HIV infection and take pills to prevent pregnancy. Then report the incident to the police even if you don't want to press charges now.

What happened to you is exactly what happened to my friend and she got infected with hiv from the encounter.

Be strong, it is not the end of the world.

Try and confront the guy while trying to get evidence of the rape. You can chat him up on whatsapp and ask him why he had sex with you without your consent after drugging you.

Have documentary evidence of what happened, it will come in handy if you intend to press charges in the future.
AgricultureRe: Creating A 50ton Per Day Palm Kernel Processing Plant by Earthstorms(op):
The work has been tough on some occasions. Several unexpected problems came up.

1st was electricity, I needed 3 phase power. Well we had electricity but not what we needed. Of the 3 phase we needed, what was available were as follows, one phase was 220volts which is ok. The 2nd phase was zero volts which was not ok and the 3 phase was 445 volts, which was way too high. So we could not use the electricity for 6 weeks. Getting the electricity distribution company guys to come have a look at it was difficult. But that was sorted out a week ago. It turns out the made some wiring error at the transformer when it was installed long ago. People noticed the problem and simply moved to the single phase that was ok instead of solving the problem.

Well that is sorted out now.

While waiting for the electricity to be sorted out we tried using the back up engine to run the operations instead of waiting for electricity. That option allowed us to observe the problems with the crusher and the engine. Little frustrating teething problems kept springing up. Many of the problems would have been avoided if the equipment designer has been more professional.

Imagine using a dirty radiator to make a prime mover. The engine runs, but overheats, that took some time to decode and rectify.

The pulleys diameter were not appropriately sized and the locking keys to lock the pulleys in place keep coming off and disengaging the pulleys.

I had to send my welding machine to site and hire a welder to be correcting the design errors.

Crusher no.2 was installed last week. The making and delivery took 5 weeks. We also installed a hammer mill.

The pictures above shows the 1st crusher, the oil filter and the arduino based automation control system I was building.

The picture of the structure in the dark shows the state of things when electricity was connected at first. Then the structure was not completed. It is like a star in the midst of darkness. We have not started much production, just skeletal production to get everything working while waiting for new kernel season to commence, but at that we are already making some contribution to the society.

The challenges might be much but the past 4 months has been really progressive. In 4 months we completed the structure and installed 20ton per day production capacity. 30 ton per day capacity is what is remaining to complete this project.

The most important part is that it is a lifelong project that will continue to yield dividends in many years to come.

What have I learnt so far?

1. Workers: we had to choose between an inexperienced administrator who is straightforward and an experienced administrator who turned out to be a potential cheat. We chose the straightforward guy. We lost some time and by consequence from his inexperience but I am unable to stand cheats. Given the option again, I will still choose the inexperienced straightforward employee.

If you are an employee, don't try to steal from your employer or cheat your employer, it just makes the business more difficult for him. The life is hard enough, why add more troubles ?

2. Equipment reliability. The equipment were designed and built locally. The crusher cost about 50% of the cost of a used foreign made crusher. We had several problems getting the crusher to work. Little problems like wrong pulley sizes, wrong key sizes and dirty radiators meant that we had to spend valuable time finding and fixing those issues.

My verdict is that you should be technically sound to some extent or have a technically member in your team before using the locally fabricated machines. There are just too many little issues that can frustrate one if he is not able to understand the technical problems.

3. Community relations: we can not avoid this. They keep coming, some come to beg for employment others come to demand for it. Some come for free money. But I am not father Xmas so I can't give free money and I can not employ those I don't need. But we try to use as many people from within the local community as much as possible. It is cheaper for us and it is helpful to the community.

4. Raw materials supply. If you have money, you will get the raw materials that you need. Just allow your price to be competitive.

6. Do a business you understand. Learn about the business before starting but don't wait forever. You can learn from someone prior to starting or you can tell the equipment manufacturer to teach you. If you start without learning, be prepared to lose some money until you become an expert.

we have done all those crop and beyond, the best crop rfor that size of land with limited care and human interference /management,also gives higer economic output than plantain and all other crop, what you need to look for is the giant Cavendish bananas or saro Cavendish bananas, the economic value of one banana bunch can only be matched by 3-4 plantains.the suckers are more costly for a reason.imagine if you have 200 banana crops like that in the pic, each bunch is not less than #4-5k.
Is this type of banana in nigeria actually?

I will love to buy it if available

"Today we are introducing Equiano, our new private subsea cable that will connect Africa with Europe. Once complete, Equiano will start in western Europe and run along the West Coast of Africa, between Portugal and South Africa, with branching units along the way that can be used to extend connectivity to additional African countries. The first branch is expected to land in Nigeria. This new cable is fully funded by Google, making it our third private international cable after Dunant and Curie, and our 14th subsea cable investment globally."

My Personal Note:
Believe it or not, it means cheaper connectivity for Nigerians Internet wise and Google will be placing edge locations in Nigeria to support their business, so employment, but best of all guys, it means Nigerians can start having good ideas for online business and start-ups being backed by durable cheap infrastructure from Google cloud

Really nice news.

I would have loved to do a fibre to home startup that will bring high speed internet to homes using fibre optic cables. Money is the barrier.

I wish Google will fund such startups that will get connected to their network

This is not resolved yet. Infact this week a phase was down and we had to switch to generator.

Remember it should be able to power a 50kva 3-phase motor from a single phase.

But to make it easier, you can plan it with 2 phase input.

ChikingMedia:
hello guys , Earthstorms any update on your progress? please am looking forward for your update.
Oh, I thought no one was interested in my story anymore

We have completed the installation of the first production line. This has a capacity of 10 ton per day. We made a few production runs to test the machines, we got about 40% oil yield as a percentage of the weight of kernel crushed.

Installation of the 2nd production line is to commence in the 3rd week of January. That we bring the installed capacity to 20 tons per day. We hope to have 50 ton per day capacity achieved by May, 2021.

We have been working on the automation.
The automation is in form of automatic control for 3 pumps and automatic sensing and volume calculation of oil and water in 7 tanks,

The 3 pumps will be used as follows, one will take oil from the crusher to the unfiltered oil storage tank, another pump will pump oil through the filters and a 3rd pump to send filtered oil to storage.

Each of the tanks will have oil level sensors and water level sensors.

We needed digital sensors for the oil high level and low level sending. For these we are using the small switches used in arduino projects. The float switches will be connected to the inside wall of the tanks. Sensor readings taken 10 times per second was found to be adequate for the pump control.

A back up sensor is needed to prevent overfilling of the tanks in case of liquid level sensor failure. For this we are using a ultrasonic proximity sensor to detect the top of the liquid. This was found to be accurate from 2cm to 2 m. We tied using an infrared proximity sensor but the accuracy range was not ideal. The infrared proximity sensor was accurate from 9 cm to 40 cm.

We also want to have a digital record of the volume of stored oil at all times and for this we are using the ultrasonic proximity sensor to detect the liquid surface. This will be used in calcution of the stored volume continually.

We are somehow getting apprehensive. The project is ready, we can buy kernel and start production but the price of kernel is currently crazy high. The suppliers are asking for 180k per ton. We expect the price to drop in January, so buying high price kernel now is a bit dicey, do we buy or do we wait for lower priced kernel in January?
HealthRe: How To Easily Overcome Diabetes by Earthstorms(op):
Type 2 diabetes results from the body being kind of addicted to insulin, so it no longer adequately sensitive to insulin.

It is like how our body reacts to external chemicals. The first glass of alcohol we took when we were learning to drink made us very tipsy, as we continue taking alcohol, our body gets used to alcohol. After some time larger quantity of alcohol is required to have the same effect on us.

This is the same with medicines, the first tablet of pain killers work fine, if you continue taking the same pain killer for a long time, the body gets immune to it and it does not work as much anymore and you need to increase the dosage to get the same effect.

With insulin, it is the same thing. Every carbohydrates meal causes a spike in blood glucose after the meal, this cause a spike in insulin level in the blood. This periodic spike in insulin level causes insulin resistance in the body in people predisposed to type 2 diabetes.

Take away the high blood glucose level spike and the high insulin spike also goes away. And off goes type 2 diabetes.

That is why treating type 2 diabetes with with insulin injection is a very bad idea and normally ends bad for the patient. It is like increasing the dose of pain killers because the body is no longer sensitive to the usual dose of pain killer, at the end, the higher doses of pain killers causes severe damage to the patient.

Insulin injections as a means of treating type 2 diabetes causes the body to be more immune to insulin and higher and higher doses are required until the body system fall apart.
HealthHow To Easily Overcome Diabetes by Earthstorms(op): 8:49am On Dec 19, 2020
I have been wanting to write this for some time.

No one needs to die from complications of type 2 diabetes.

The world has largely treated type 2 diabetes as a sickness that should be managed by medicines and hormones. The result has been devastating so far as the cases of type 2 diabetes keep increasing.

For those suffering from type 2 diabetes all you have to do is abstain from eating carbohydrates.
These includes starch and sugars.

Do this and your blood glucose level will fall back to normal range in hours. Hours, not days, not weeks, but in hours.

There is the erroneous belief that carbohydrates are a most in the diet. This is very incorrect.
The essential nutrients are proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and water. Carbohydrates is not an essential nutrient. The body can burn protein and fats for energy in the absence of carbohydrates.

If you have type 2 diabetes, remove all carbohydrates from your diet and see your health come back to normal almost immediately.

So things to avoid are. Rice, cassava products, starch, sugar, plantain, custard, oats, all cereals like corn, rice, oats. Carbonated drinks, malt drinks, biscuits

You can eat these

Eggs
Meat
Fish
Beans
Coconut
Palm kernel
Tree nuts
Leafy vegetables
Melon seeds
Soups that are not thickened with starches.

Stay of carbohydrates, monitor your blood glucose for a few days and you will see that you could have treated yourself of diabetes all along.
You will no longer need insulin treatment neither will you need daily diabetes medications and you will not need to pay anyone for some special medical management .

AgricultureRe: Creating A 50ton Per Day Palm Kernel Processing Plant by Earthstorms(op):
We have been sorting out the automation part

We are using the automation part as a fun project and to prepare for future opportunities.

We plan using several sensors

Proximity sensors for liquid volume control and kernel feeding control. For these we will be using infrared proximity sensors and ultrasonic proximity sensors.

Each sensor will have a backup sensor, the coding will make the backup sensor to be operational if the main sensor fail.
Floating Magnetic switches for liquid level control
Float switches for liquid level control
Resistivity sensors to detect water column height in the separation tanks and the presence of water in stored oil. We really don't want water in the oil tanks and a sensor for the presence of water in the tanks will help correct that.

Initial coding and testing is done using an arduino, we intend to use a raspberry pi for the development to be able to have better online access to the sensors data.

Anyway, this is low budget automation. So let's see how long it will survive in the factory before failing.
