Lol! Can you then give us the original name he called himself then? Am pretty sure it's not the name "God" you have been referring Him too through our your OP. *Modified OK the OP said that name is Yahweh or Jehovah. But even here there is problem, Yahweh and Jehovah are two different sounding names. OK let's agree for the sake of argument they are one name. Then what of the name GOD itself? If we are only to refer to the most high as Yahweh/Jehovah that means using the word GOD is also going against the verse in Exodus 3:15. In a Yoruba church Yahweh is called Oluwa. In an Igbo church He is referred to as Chineke. In the north Ubangiji/Allah. In Akwa Ibom the same Yahweh is called A basic even church service and Erik Bibles. In Malaysia Christian translated Bible uses Allah to refer to Yahweh from the beginning to the end, so does Arabic Bible. Are you saying all those Christians are wrong any the four nairaland super Christians are right? Cc palpville albagdhadi |

You will definitely loose her respect and the respect of everyone around you. If she had agreed to marry you as a Muslim but later convince you to change then no problem. But forcing you to change sends an ugly message that you don't exert any authority in the relationship especially as the man. It means you forfeit the right to have any strong opinion that may oppose her own in the future, and she will feel entitled to make you change yours and accept hers. If you are ready to let go of your religion now, then don't come complaining when she asks you to change your job or settlement or country or diet or anything else that may be fundamental to your life. If you want to convert convert because you are convinced Christianity is the best religion for you. Just like I won't advise any of you to change to the other's religion as a condition for marriage. If you love each other and have been dating each other up to this time where you are convinced you are meant for each other, I don't see why then you have to change your religion at this time of the relationship. |

Whynotthetruth: Probably you need to work on your comprehension skills then... because you were propagating Tinubu alongside your other colleagues as a renowned administrator based on his performance as governor and godfather in SW politics...it was this I chose to puncture by telling you how every average man can do superlatively working under same condition as Tinubu or Fashola etc...Ever wondered why Fashola is failing in current portfolio? how come Tinubu appointees in other SW states are failing? There's NOTHING special about them except the enormity of resources available in Lagos Which they are AVARICIOUSLY gathering for themselves... Oga comprehension! I never said Tinubu would be president due to his performance as Lagos state governor. I have been to Lagos only once in my life sef. My point if just aimed at understanding his position in APC and how many odds favor him if he was to contest for the party's ticket. That's why I insist the article I wrote. What you do as a public office holders has little bearing about your electability. That is why 99% of our politicians always win second term in office no matter their abysmal performance. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu: I Cannot Rule Out Contesting For President If There Is Vacancy (Video) by EazyMoh(m): 5:25pm On Feb 26, 2017 |
Whynotthetruth: 1)Lots of grammatical error in your post including that of Jabioro, FriendChoice etc that understanding the message was a bit tough...
2)Lagos was up and running not because of any Tinubu or Fashola sagacity rather it has VERY sound economic and political history/foundation dating back to its time as FCT and State capital altogether... NOTHING to do with lies you lot peddle here... Performance of Tinubu's choice candidates in all other SW states give credence to my assertion...
3)Any average person can rule Lagos SUCCESSFULLY because of the quantum of financial resources available there; which aren't product of any SW politicians wisdom rather political and economic decision of Nigeria as a country...The amount of money spent in Lagos under Tinubu, Fashola etc versus available infrastructure can ONLY prove why Nigeria isn't ready to be free from corruption...
4) I wonder how most SW folks here ridicule Jonathan who has no child or bank account outside the shores of Nigeria or significant investment in Nigeria for corruption but embrace wholeheartedly a Tinubu who has and flaunts wealth in their faces? Or even an Obj? And they accuse others of hate? smh
5)Just as JohnsonOlanre & queencalipso etc already said... Kindly elucidate the political marriage or alliance that will give Tinubu victory easily? You are not making any sense. I never mentioned Lagos in my entire post. I couldn't decide what to reply you with since, because I have been trying to find a correlation between my comment and yours. Why not read my article on the subject and let me know what you think. https://www.nairaland.com/3640705/2019-potential-presidents |

basilo102: suddenly, yorubas are now claiming political maradonna?? yorubas have never come close to national politics until they found a chance in buhari, a bigot who igbos knew was destined for failure and who has eventually failed now. Nine years after the civil war, Igbo man ended Awolowo's dream of ruling Nigeria, Same will happen in 2019. In fact, yorubas have made impossible for any southerner to win election, the best shot will be to inherit the seat of a dead Northerner, if Buhari dies, yorubas will see that jonathan was a great man to have won in 2011 because Osunbade will kicked out with the speed of light Go and read my article. Nobody takes Ibos serious in Nigerian politics. My problem with you people is how you can conveniently and shamelessly lie. Yorubas have never come close to national politics until late Buhari according to you. I wonder what OBJ is? |
Politics › Re: Tinubu: I Cannot Rule Out Contesting For President If There Is Vacancy (Video) by EazyMoh(m): 2:15pm On Feb 26, 2017 |
queencalipso: Am not much into politics but I can't help but quote the bolded.. You obviously do not know the sentimental nature of northern Muslims. If we have to go by your analogy, tinubu will never become the president.. Like that guys said, northern Muslims will always want to remain close to the seat of power..
Besides, all these old greedy men don't want to go and rest, they are hell bent on looting Nigeria dry, they don't want to give chance to the younger generation. Since tinubu is do good at making kings like you guys claim, why can't he pick a younger candidate, groom him and sell him to the masses... Why consider it for him self if not greed
What's more annoying is that the supposed youth are here supporting a man who's close to his grave to lead them like they once did.. Why do you keep respecting the same thing? You people lack any known political pragmatism. Mind am as northern Muslim as they come. The so called northern Muslims consider religious ties more than regional. I didn't want to say it but that's the fact. It's not about who we support, but about who has the odds in his favour the most. 2019 there isn't gonna be any formidable opposition because PDP is dead. And PMB will most likely not contest. It's either he anoints his successor or give contestants a level playing ground. It's highly likely then Tinubu would contest. On youth taking back power, there is reality and then there is wishful thinking. |
