OP shut up there! You want security agents to allow you continue fleecing unemployed gullible Nigerians of their hard earned money in the name of a phantom peace corp job. You even have the audacity to be selling ranks to the highest bidder. You settled those rogues in the national assembly to pass the so called bill which is very useless because they aren't gonna be the ones to finance it. |

Do they teach hypocrisy, as a course, in any institution over there My brother I wonder o! But it makes happy seeing how pained they are. Politics › Re: Tariffs: Benin, Ghana Wage Economic War Against Nigeria by EazyMoh(m): 9:48am On Mar 09, 2017 |
I blame it squarely on Nigerian government. At a time when neighboring countries are taking advantage of our porous boarders and huge market, the first thing this new custom boss did was to skyrocket the import duty to about 70% of cost of importing vehicles that's like the most expensive import duty all over the world. Then followed by closing import through land boarders. If you want to encourage import through official means give incentives for those willing in to patronize Nigerian ports like reduced tarrifs, discounts and promos not by doing the opposite. Then we need to show mushroom ECOWAS countries who is the boss. We need to find a way to call them to order. This is Nigeria for God's sake, the USA of Africa. |
Car Talk › Re: Top 10 Most Problematic Cars To Avoid When Buying A Car by EazyMoh(m): 7:36am On Mar 09, 2017 |
Dottore: Talking from experience l and coming from a family and extended family of Honda freaks, I will say that the only good thing about Honda is that they have better cosmetic designs than Toyota both interior and exterior but generally speaking, Honda is a terrible brand anytime. You can't embark on a journey of up to 500 miles with a Honda with confidence. That explains why you don't see any commercial transport company including any Honda brand in their fleet. They have very poor reliability ratio. If Honda Accord troubles you particularly "Baby Boy, End of Discussion, Discussion Continues, and Evil Spirit", you'd think some with craft covers haven taken up the task to mess up your mobility. Lol! You are quiet right. My family is also Honda freak. But I think Honda's main issue isn't reliability but rather more of durability. As stated in the OP, the issue of brake pads, suspension and sometimes transmission is its bane. However, where Honda falls short on these aspects it made up with cheaper initial cost, cheaper spare parts and repairs as well as general maintenance. For example replacing a Honda part may cost like half of a Toyota's or even a quarter of Mercedes'. So in the end I'd say it's a fair trade off, especially for low income earners. |

haulagehandlers: Oh I never knew northerners eat their animals alive without slaughtering. Lol! So do those camels look like they were slaughtered? Slaughter has to be done properly according to Islamic instructions. 1. Make the animal face Makkah. 2. Say "Bismillah" 3. A clean and quick cut to the neck. 4. drain blood completely. Politics › Re: What I Said About Igbo Presidency – Obasanjo by EazyMoh(m): 6:00pm On Mar 05, 2017 |
auggie340: what difference does it make??...an incompetent popular man or none....I'll rather we don't get the so-called presidency than av an incompetent one represent us badly...It's how many yrs since independence and Nigeria is still struggling to get it right politically... smh So is that your solution? To just do NOTHING? Madam, as dysfunctional as democracy is its still our best option. Whenever you are presented with two bad options it's only right you chose the least bad. If you decide not to support any candidate or even vote that's not gonna change anything. So I'd advise you make the best use of bad situations, else yours is always gonna be lamentations, As you are doing right now. |
Politics › Re: What I Said About Igbo Presidency – Obasanjo by EazyMoh(m): 4:52pm On Mar 05, 2017 |
auggie340: This is the big problem in Nigerian politics.... You support a candidate based on popularity, whether real or imagined, and not fitness to rule...Like seriously...How then do we expect Nigeria to move forward..smh...well point of correction , "Igbos are generally not good in UNPROGRESSIVE politics" cos that's the type that is being practiced in Nigeria Lol you can look at it however you like. Democracy isn't primarily about electing the best candidate, but simply making the most popular candidate the winner. In Nigerian setting, our democracy is about regional interest. In the first republic every region has its own executive leaders who have absolute powers to make policies beneficial to their regions. But now we have the opposite and the president has to come from somewhere. No doubt the region the president comes from stands to gain by having their interest secured at the center. So keep playing your "progressive" Igbo politics, fact is it will never give you the presidency. Deal with that. |
Business › Re: Nigeria's Trade Data: See GDP, Top Imports And Exports Of Q4 2016 (Infograph) by EazyMoh(m): 1:42pm On Mar 05, 2017 |
AreaFada2: I have a little problem believing some of the stats. For example the 3 consecutive GDP rise in the last 3 quarters of 2016.
The infograph is clear enough but NBS needed to discount for things like sharp Naira falls/volatility in the past 18 months. In 2016, Q2 rise was N4.15 trillion rising to N5.29 trillion by Q4. Good.
But that increase seems fictitious to me. Because that was a period when the Naira fell sharply in value. What was N4.52 triilion worth in dollars in Q2 and value of N5.29 trillion in dollars in Q4?
GDP has to do with sum total of all goods and services. Export goods paid for in dollars & other hard currencies included.
I also doubt if N3.52 trillion in 2015 Q4 was worth less than N5.29 trillion in 2016 Q4.
These so called increases would make sense if we had a stable currency. Not one that loses or gains up to 25% overnight due to CBN manipulation. Wonderful analysis! However I believe should be strictly in one type of currency. Even the USD isn't that stable, especially when comparing GDP after long periods of time. But the question is has the Nigerian GDP always been calculated in Naira by the bureau of statistics? |
Business › Re: Nigeria's Trade Data: See GDP, Top Imports And Exports Of Q4 2016 (Infograph) by EazyMoh(m): 1:34pm On Mar 05, 2017 |
kITATITA: Though the figures are not as dismal as I expected; but I don't share your optimism about coming out of recession by the end of 1Q2017. I'm looking at 4Q2017. You haven't factored economic sabotage, especially as we approach the election period. Don't think that everyone wants us out of the recession You are right I might have been a bit over optimistic. I considered the gain of about 1.06% gain for the q42016. So I assumed if we could achieve 1.30% growth we should be technically out of recession. Anyway we pray the progress is sustained at this phase, especially the crude oil output and it's international price. Peace. |

That's a very good development for Q42016 the GDP growth is very impressive. By the end of this year's first quarter we should be out of recession. |
