What is the problem of Nigerians sef? If you plant rice today in Nigeria, I can assure you of over 100% profit after harvest. You can even make more profit when you invest along the value chain. But no, Nigerians will not listen, they will still go to Thailand to buy rice and grow those ones economy |

This act is barbaric and condemnable, the man should be Trial in the court of law, this is the kind of people that brings shame to islam as a religion.
There is no compulsion in religion and everyone should be given chance to practice what they feel like, since she's matured and she knows whats good for herself. Islam forbids killing of innocent "peoples " indeed except for the "infidels" who are scum of the earth right? Those you kill, behead and hang on poles |

SmartMugu: Me I'm not understanding this story anymore. Why release some Boko members last week for Chibok girls and capture Boko members again today? Aren't they all the same? Are we going in circles here? Mr. "Smart, " its not a circle. The girls are not 2million. It's just 113 left or thereabout. Get them to release the girls, give them their commanders (who might have compromised by the Nigerian Intelligence already) . Soon all the girls would be free, and then their would be no restraint to bomb the hell out of them. Peeps come to Nairaland and feel they know better than those who have lived all their life in the military, attended serious trainings home and abroad, and with a gamut of experience in warfare. Be humble, sit down. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How Do You Answer The Question "Sell Me This Pen " In A Sales Interview? by ebby9z(m): 11:06am On May 14, 2017 |
EMIOMOADEOYE: And as the interviewer you accepted that as an answer?
If what you said up there is true, I'm quite disappointed.
Think about it this way. Why the hell will I want to sell you a Pen when you can get one down the street for dirt cheap.
If I'm selling you a pen, I wont be badgering you about some unique feature. Whatever feature it has the fact remains that its just a pen.
Now instead of boring you with features, I probably will start with a few leading questions to see what I can home in on. I will rather home in on who you are and what you probably will be using the pen for. I would speak about the fact that your pen needs to show your class. Pretty much like you step out of a flashy car and people smell class from a mile away. You pull this pen from your pocket and people don't see a pen, they see class. Suddenly the rich ink of the pen with which you sign the lines is not just a signature, its a statement of power, class and style. You don't just want to put your acknowledgement in cheap ink. You want to do it in a way that reflects who you are. When they see that ink on the paper they see class.
I I'm selling a pen, I had better be selling it on a self gratification level and not on a logical level of features and benefit. Brilliant! |

Politics › Re: 2019: Buhari’s Men In Dilemma by ebby9z(m): 4:09pm On May 13, 2017 |
omohayek: I mean all Nigerians, as no part of the country is exempt from this sick way of thinking. I can't remember the last time any Nigerian elections, at any level above the local government, have been about actual policies and governance, rather than ethnicity and religion.
As for what to do about the problems affecting the other tiers of government, my own solution is simple: the country needs to move from a system wherein 36 mostly parasitical states subsist off "federal allocation" money obtained from oil rents, to LGAs and states becoming self-supporting units, and most of the current responsibilities of the FG are devolved downwards to the lowest possible levels. The FG should limit itself to truly "national" priorities such as defense, foreign relations, currency management, etc., and its budget should be reduced to fit with that limited slate of responsibilities. In turn, the states and LGAs should be required to raise their own revenues from taxation, which will give their citizens stronger incentives to closely monitor the quality of their performance.
The current Nigerian presidency and FG are far too powerful. Reduce the powers and revenues of the FG, and the allure of the presidency diminishes accordingly, which will in turn reduce the obsession with zoning and "our turn" nonsense. And that is the restructuring it seems "only the southerners" are repeatedly crying for. That is a step we need to take but the overlords from the north will have none of it |

Air traffic in Nigeria dropped by over 50% in Q1 of 2017 as a result of terrible aviation policies and recession. Nigeria is loosing air traffic to Ghana, loosing billions of naira. And we think they'll honestly want this country to be better. Let's keep waiting for them. |
