This is the most sensible post I've ever seen about this Biafra issue. Only if the Igbos can be this civil and articulate in their approach. Although I can bet that if a referendum is conducted, most Igbos will vote to remain especially because of their businesses. But Nnamdu Kanu owes it to his kindred to allow them choose and not force Biafra their throats. |
Acidosis:Do you think if the girl had reported the debt to the police, the police would have taken the woman to court? The girl was desperate and powerless, and remember she's but a teenager. There's no excuse for committing that crime of threat to lifebut all we are saying is that the woman strong-armed the case due to her economic advantage. |
9jakohai:No doubt, threat against life is a crime. But for an helpless girl like that, at least the system should have provided her with a lawyer who could have argued down the bail condition. it's highly unreasonable. Moreover, judges have the discretion to avoid turning a sane girl to a hardened criminal in jail. |
This simply points to the fact that our justice system is skewed and only favours the rich. Now, after working for your money and demanding it when due, you get thrown in jail. Who is that unfortunate judge who requested 50,000 for bail from an girl fighting to collect her 6000? This is a girl who chose to work for her money instead of engaging in prostitution or crime. I am really interested in this case. Its so sad |
elmessiahs:You can join , mingle with Fulani Herdsmen and add ISIS to the mix...since you're intent on dying soon. ![]() |
gypsey:Your level of stupidity is quite incredible. And you have friends and relatives around you who have not arranged to have your empty skull used for money rituals. I know you're seeking attention but that just underlines your daftness |
NtoAkwaIbom:I'm greatly relieved to see such a very sensible comment here on NL. I'm happy tribalism wasn't inserted into the post. The poor boy is obviously a victim of a maliciously dysfunctional society where the malignant elite ensure they economically subjugate the masses and get them embroiled in tribal and religious bickering while they unite in their pillagery of the commonwealth of Nigerians |
reuben79:So you don't believe I'm Yoruba...lol. O o ni laa kaye. Afofungbemu...Yorubas are known to be educated and civilized. Pls, don't be an exception |
Partnerbiz3:You're obviously a novice in legal matters. |
reuben79:Pls grow up. People like you are the problems with Nigeria; always inserting tribalism to everything. Does it give u guys a boner? I'm Yoruba anyway and I'm disappointed in you. |
I believe we should not hinge the credentials on age. I believe we should focus on track records, education and strategy. We must ask candidates deep questions that only a prepared candidate would have answers to. And presidential debates MUST be respected and attended by candidates. We should not have cases of people shunning debates. Hmmm...we should not vote for old men like Buhari tho. |
The saddest thing here is the people commenting on this thread. I can't believe some are blaming the guy for overtaking because it's a Jeep. The owner is probably a bloated, corrupt politician who has helped milk the country dry who now believes he lives in the cloud and can act without repercussions. Why in the world would a grow man be beaten with clubs like that just for overtaking. Why would the police go around clubbing people? I'm ashamed to be associated with this excuse of a country |
So from all the money these boys post on IG, no one could even leave a $100 bill on his grave. Chai! see life ehn. Boys(His friends) will still pop drinks and carry oloshos that night. Life is precious o. Keep off cultism and bad gangs |
A Nigerian man stabs another Nigerian man. Thats all I can see. Adding ethnic coloration to the reportage of the news and trying to appear to be anti-tribalistic is an hypocrisy of the highest order |
And I'll be there complaining, "I'm not tall enough," I don't have perfect hairline "" I don't have thin lips "...God forgive my insatiable nature |
Yahoo daddy sef dey there. His mates are stealing billions in Abuja ,he is there doing yahoo. ![]() That first guy is too cute to go to kirikiri, let the second dude and the "old yahoo man" do his time with theirs. |
emmy4lov:*sighs Its Australia, not "America" Not everything every time is your fantastic America. |
I just wish something will allow over half of Lagos inhabitants return to their previous states of residences. Especially those who aren't really doing anything or contributing to the state. I swear if I see one better job for ib or even Osogbo, I dey run go be that. There are too many mad people in clothes for this Lagos. |
There is clearly a difference in psychological, social and professional composition of both parties. Even the visitors look more excited and alive then the hosts. No cap, long faces, bored expressions(Niggies wanna rush back to barracks to continue screwing Cigarette-sellers young daughter) Moreover, till when will be be actually an "independent country?" |
Well, all I noticed is that the first guy seems to possess good fashion sense. I thought it's only ugly dudes who do crime. Anyway, all Nigerian states need to adopt the application of death sentence to kidnappers. Seems it's the new oil |
Phi001:Been looking for someone who spotted that too. Was afraid I was the only one |
Some people are just ass kissers and boot lickers who'd rather be one to in the good books than one who's truthful. Sometimes you can't help being a bit closer to your boss than others, probably because of u ur efficiency or sense of responsibility, but it's good to hold back. Don't let yourself be used! |
Eziokwuegbuozoo:You're filled with hate, bile and negativity. Is this the best you can say to your "brother" whose investment is being allowed to fall apart? Your tribalism has gotten so bad you're turning on your "brothers" |
The tragedy of the whole thing is these same distribution companies are rejecting megawatts of power from transmission, yet they refused to provide metres so they can keep extorting money from citizens thereby amassing immense wealth for themselves. Seems government is complicit in this. To allow these fiends in overalls to continue ripping off us like this is just unfortunate. Their devilish estimated billing is really killing businesses in the country. |
Codyt:Well, THOSE who live in Lagos know its the other way. |
Maghan37:Let me shock you. I hate that Christians go around and wake people up for morning devotion and I used to point blank tell those who do it that. The fact that I am a christian doesn't mean I won't criticise when they go overboard which is what I expect Muslims to be doing when issues of terrorism comes up. As for the mojo break, I didn't expect religious leaders to go on breaking bottles and hurling stones at students because people were watching porn. There's no excuse for that. They are supposed to be agents of peace not rancour and anarchy |
SalamRushdie:So if you want to catch them and grip them, their slippery body will get them away |
But why does Muslims always get belligerent and confrontational about everything that had to do with their religion? This is what leads to bombing up innocent people just because they do not wear black veils and keep dirty beards. Everybody that went to oau knows the kind of nuisance they've been in halls of residences. You'll remember the mojo break? Moreover, what has ban of religious activities at halls of residence have to do with absence of Muslim lecturer at faculty of pharmacy? Does the DSA employ lecturers now? |
I look at top company executives with their big salaries and bonuses, yet I see most of them don't enjoy their lives because at that level, you're under pressure, you still can't decide when if to close early or just go on vacation at any time of the year. Truth be told. Working for anther till retirement is like spending ones life actualising other's dreams |
It's quite obvious we are better off without Buhari. Honestly, irrespective of what his die hard supporters say. I supported him and still respect him but it's time we remove the veil of sentimentality and acknowledge the fact that he has spent the better part of his time as our president flying off to treat himself at our expense. He hasn't visited more than two states in his official capacity till now. Even when he was around, he kept bailing on FEC meetings. He is obviously not a diplomat and has been out of touch with modernity. It's time he takes a bow. |
Poor guys can get rich tomorrow, rich guys can get broke tomorrow. It's never wise to hinge love on material things cos you never know what might happen. It's better to have substance to hold on to, so in case poo hits the fan, both parties will always still have something to hold on to and help pull them back up |
Safiaa:Well, for one it's criteria, not criterias. Moreover, not every story has a happy ending, true that. Which is why a rich guy today can lose his job, sell his car and get poor. It happens a lot. Moreover, nobody is saying the girl should be the breadwinner, for a guy being broke doesn't mean he won't settle bills. They might not just be able to afford luxurious things. Lastly, no go gives a rat's butt what are preferences are, people are merely commenting cos she came here trying to deride other ladies sticking it up with their men. She should have kept her preferences to herself. |
