Oga, the Igbos couldn't have been above all the other ethnic groups in everything...perhaps in a few sectors but certainly not in every sector. I am not just Igbo, I am also a good student of history.

However you look at it, every ethnic group in Nigeria has evolved in the last 50 years, and a whole lot of these tribes, including those hitherto regarded as minorities, have proven their mettle in key sectors of the Nigerian economy.

Our country is awakening herself to the dynamism of nationhood, which rests more on the inclusiveness of negotiations, partnerships, common good and sustenance than on ethnicity and other biases that bear no real significance in our national project.
With due respect sir, you are a very poor student of history. At independence, Ndi Igbo were at the helm of EVERY facet of the Nigerian society. From education (we actually produced VCs and SU presidents of most Nigerian universities then) to commerce. From military to civil service. Engineering to medicine. Ndi Igbo were at the top. We occupied high echelons of civil service even in the core north. That's where the resentent started.

This comment of yours "Our country is awakening herself to the dynamism of nationhood, which rests more on the inclusiveness of negotiations, partnerships, common good and sustenance than on ethnicity and other biases that bear no real significance in our national project." is so detached from reality and manifestly false that I'm not going to dignify it by responding.

That's why no one wishes for a war...'cos atrocities happen on both sides.

As for oppressing the igbos, that's a figment of your imagination because igbo remains, unarguably, one of the most successful ethnic groups in country.
By 1967 Igbos were above the rest of Nigeria in every thing. Then the war happened and Ndi Igbo were criminally and systematically reduced to nothing and dispossessed of their livelihoods. But then, 48 short years later, Ndi Igbo are back again at the top. It says alot about our indomitable spirit.

CultureRe: People Build Better Houses In The Village: Why? by Ebeano49(m): 12:19pm On May 22, 2019
Demainman1:
Most Igbo villages are under developed and they look like forest if you ever watch Nollywood movies. I really hate that look when i see them on those movies being an igbo myself.

My people, please build in the villages so as to bring these places up to the 21st century standard. Our generation unborn will thank us for it. while at it, proper maintenance culture on those properties are needed so that houses built can last a very long time. Regular painting, nice landscapping readily comes to mind.

For any Local Government Chairman/State Governor reading this, please embark on proper village/town planning so as to give our villages a modern organisation rather than allow the people to put up structures in an unorganised manner.
You really think those 'igbo villages' you see in Nollywood films are really from Igbo land? Have you ever been to the east before?
Ndi my papa say we be Igbo! SMFH!!

PoliticsRe: Uche Okwukwu Backs Amaechi, Says Igbo Can’t Be President by Ebeano49(m): 10:09am On May 21, 2019
What zone has Nigeria presidency really helped? The North is still the poverty and illiteracy capital of Nigeria, despite years of producing Nigeria's leaders. What did the average Abeokuta person or Bayelsans gain from OBJ or GEJ's presidency respectively?
Similarly, Igbo presidency will only benefit the Igbo elite who are already in bed with their northern puppet masters.

For the majority of Ndi Igbo, what we ask for is a reformed, fair and just Nigeria or outright independence.
I want my future to be shaped in ENUGU by an Okechukwu, who shares my dreams and aspirations rather than in far away ABUJA by a barely educated, fundamentalist Abubakar whose interests and mine are not aligned.
PoliticsRe: Zone Deputy To S/E Or I’ll Contest For Senate President ― Kalu by Ebeano49(m): 4:28pm On Mar 27, 2019
Again Kalu is fighting for his stomach using the name of South East. Very typical of Nigerian hearltless thieves masquerading as politicians.

Do not be deceived! The vast majority of Ndi Igbo doesn't care who becomes what in the zoo.

Most of us want one of these two things:

1. A restructured Nigeria where our fate will be decided in Enugu (by an Okechukwu) and not in Abuja (by a Muhammad)

or

2. A proud independent Country called Biafra

Nothing more, nothing less!

THANK YOU

PoliticsRe: Chaos As IPOB Members Disrupt Church Service Over Prayer For Election. Photos by Ebeano49(m): 5:30pm On Nov 01, 2018
Quite frankly, other Nigerians should act like Igbo people and particularly IPOB.
Why should you sheepishly agree to pray for a peaceful election when we all know that it is a mere transition from one set of uncaring, insensitive thieves to another set?

Nigerians have been voting since 1999 but still their lives have got much worse while a handful of politicians live in immoral opulence.
Infact all Nigerians should boycott this election to show they are unhappy with the status quo and the viable alternative on the table.
PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu Is Not 'Safe And Well In London' - Femi Fani-Kayode by Ebeano49(m): 11:22am On Sep 19, 2018
PassingShot:
Kanu could have bolted through an already prepared special exit. He knew what he was calling for long before it happened.

Remember we're talking of a man who entered Nigeria through illegal means - he didn't use any of his passports (British and Nigerian).

Lastly, he lost all rights he could lay claim to the moment he embarked on his war mongering and call to arm crusade.
Could have... Would have... Those are conjectures and innuendos or alternative reality, at best.
Let's face the things we know to be true. That he entered Nigeria without travel documents is neither here nor there. If 'war wongering' as you put it is against the laws of the land, then you should demand that the government put him through a trial and convict him. That's what will make Nigeria a civilised country and not the zoo Kanu calls it.

Benjamin Franklin said the first responsibility of every citizen is to constantly question authority.
Robert Novak also said always love your country – but never trust your government!

Wish you Godspeed as you reflect on these.

PassingShot:
Your evidence please?
I am not saying he wasn't or was, but do you have a proof to your claim?
What evidence are you looking for? These are known facts:
1) He was INSIDE his residence when the army surrounded it
2) The army forcefully gained entrance
3) Nnamdi Kanu hasn't been seen since that date.

Given the above sequenece of incontrovertible events, the only reasonable conclusion is that only the army can account for his whereabout. Instead of sowing seeds of doubt, you should be alarmed that your governement extra judicially infringed on the rights of your fellow citizen, whether you agree with that citizen's believes or not.

girlfio: Hi Ebeano, they didn't take very long to get the passport back to my husband. It arrived in Sheffield on the Monday and was back at the Lekki VAC in Lagos by the following Monday, so it took them about a week to process it. My husband didn't get the phonecall from Lekki. We emailed Sheffield on Tuesday, they confirmed that the passport should have been received, my husband just turned up at their office and collected it. I would say that you should email them next Monday, confirm that your passport has been sent back. If it has been then just give it a couple of days, even if you haven't received a phonecall from Lekki just turn up at their office with a copy of your email from Sheffield confirming that it has been sent.
Thanks. Will do just that.

damyoyepitan: Ebeano,,- mailed dem @ sheffield and also tribunals to know d status of my appeal and dt we hvnt gottn d Dates ,but dere was no reply from dem both ,shud I mail dem again.
Just had a quick read through your past questions as I understand it, you appealed on 13th sep and received a letter from the tribunal confirming your payment. I'm not aware of the tribunal sending acknowledgement of payment to anyone. Are you sure the letter is not a notice of pending appeal?? Can you post a picture of the letter here?... removing any private details, of course.

If you are sure that it is just a confirmation of payment, then don't bother emailing Sheffield yet. If your hubby is names as sponsor or representative on your appeal, then let him call the tribunal himself from here and ask them when he'd be getting the notice of pending appeal.

To summarise, I'd advise you concentrate for now on getting the tribunal to confirm they've processed and sent your appeal to Sheffield before contacting Sheffield.

I pray that it is well for those of us that are still waiting in Jesus name.
Amen, my brother. This is easily the hardest thing I've ever been through! I know the 19 weeks does seem never ending but trust me, it does go quickly. Don't forget to always send whatever additional documents you come across to Sheffield, if you believe it is valid and will help your case. They will continue to accept supporting documents until your appeal is reviewed.

I will still be on here to provide my 1p advise, where I can. This process would have been a lot worse without the good people on this forum.

Take care buddy and good luck.
