Not that different from many of the multitude of "ushering" businesses run by students in Nigeria today! They are nothing but a front for prostitution. The oyibos are clearly not as hypocritical as we are down here. |
2020 budgeted non-oil revenue is 5.5 trillion. So this almajiri is telling us that NPA alone is going to generate 2.2 trillion. That is 40% of the total non-oil revenue projection for whole country. Then VAT, Exports, etc are not included yet o. Why then is the government borrowing more money upandan na ![]() Government of propaganda, by propaganda, for gullible Buharists |
Eteka1:What a warped logic! You expect a business funded by a single industrious individual to produce a car from the get go that will compete with Toyota on quality?? Do you know how many years Toyota has been in business? Do you know what their quality used to be when they started? Do you know the level of government support they received, and still receive, to be able to make the quality cars you crave? Why is resale value important when the car ultimately belongs to the government?? Taiwan used to be known for their inferior products but today they have perfected their craft through support from their citizens and government! In your mind na, you get sense abi? |
Commentor:So? Do you know how many Nigerians would have been gainfully employed doing just the 'branding', as you stupidly describe it? |
virgoquin:You went to his house for praying and fasting abi? Kontinu |
So where is the crime? He paid them and they consented. They weren't forced, coerced or drugged. I only see do and regret. |
My wife was made to drag two suitcases with two toddlers in tow in Abuja airport recently. Pointless restriction! This is nothing but excuse to extort money! I have traveled through quite a few airports around the world. The public have access to airport premises upto check in/bag drop area! It is from the point of security check (after immigration and ALL checks) that non travelers are not allowed in. We enjoy making like miserable for fellow citizens |
Kanu called it a Zoo. Animals, including those on NL, called for his head. Una never see anything. |
If other Nigerian 'leaders' had used our stolen money to setup thriving businesses in Nigeria, Nigeria would have been better than it is today. So no, even if he stole $20 million dollars to set up Air Peace, I am grateful for this type of stealing. Let America help us expose those that stole Billions and invested them in American estates, banks and other companies. Nonsense! |
alonzoiv:And you have already convicted him without allowing him the opportunity to defend himself. He may well be as guilty as charged but I still prefer him to those other Nigerians who used our money to buy mansions in US and Europe. At least, he used the money to employ Nigerians |
Deadi body get accident... yekpa! ![]() |
PMB is about 80 years old. His closest advisers and confidants are 80 years old or more. According to Osibanjo, that's exactly "why where were we where why we are". |
The overwhelming majority of Igbo people do not want your presidency. They want a Nigeria where justice and merit is supreme, failing that, then Biafra is their default preference. Igbo presidency will only enrich the very few Igbos who are already subservient to Hausa-Fulani. Besides, compared to other regions that have produced the president, Igbos are relatively better off. |
Tribe and politics aside, that PMB is our best foot forward is really embarrassing! This is a country of 200 million people for God's sake!! |
Have you tried to ask him during the happy mood periods why the mood swing occurs? Men deal with issues in multiple ways and it varies from man to man. A good friend of mine is married to a lady whom he claims doesn't respect him. He says she speaks to him condescendingly even in public, and i have witnessed it a couple of times. Silent treatment is the way he handles the situation too. His view is that by ignoring his wife, he will get over the personal slight much more quickly instead of engaging which exacerbates the hurt. The wife may well be wondering why the man keeps mute ever so often. I'm not making excuses for him at all but a year is not long enough to really understand your husband especially if you didn't court for an extended period of time. Try to get to the root-cause of the issue. Did you make claims that have turned out to be untrue? Is he cheating and perhaps is falling out of love with you? Answers to your questions may be closer home than you think. If everything fails, try confide in someone he respects. He may open up to them. |
What he is saying in other words is that the Boko Haram that Buhari used to make Nigeria ungovernable for GEJ has stopped fighting. These ones that are still fighting were too stupid to understand what the plan was from the beginning. |
Timil:Dey there nah. An Igbo proverb says "a dog way wan die nodey hear shit smell". As you consider how much una love each other, also consider how much your papa and mama have spent on your head. Nonesense and ingredients! |
Tycyborg:Old man, are there no touts in Lagos? It is the duty of the government to deal with illegality whereever it is found. Did Delta people stop the NPA from enforcing laws of the land at the port? Just defending the indefensible. |
martineverest:Read this https://businessday.ng/exclusives/article/nsia-to-raise-private-capital-to-partly-fund-2nd-niger-bridge-2/ 2nd Niger bridge funding is partly private. If you dont know this, then you shouldnt be commenting. Have a good day bro |
martineverest:Why is government going to build the one in Ondo while Ibom is only good enough for private-public partnership? Same thing is happening on 2nd Niger Bridge. Please call a spade a spade! |
I give up on you. Refer to my earlier comment on this. It will be majority owned by a private company. What's your point? martineverest: |
martineverest:The issue is proximity to Lagos (where there's a port already) and the areas where a port is needed. There are ijaws in Lagos too so I dont see your point. |
You probably dont know what a deep sea port is. There is only ONE deep seaport in Nigeria today. It is in Apapa! It handles over 85% of shipping activities in Nigeria. FACT martineverest: |
And being from Niger Delta makes you an expert on this subject?? Talk of being clueless! The Cross River deep sea port project will be majority private owned. So, if it actually sees the light of day, it will be prohibitively expensive to use compared to 100% government owned ports in Apapa and maybe this one in Ondo. It will therefore die a natural death! Educate yourself please! Oh, I AM FROM NIGER DELTA too but that's neither here nor there!!! martineverest: |
chuksmad:So, by your warped logic, if an Ijaw man becomes president tomorrow, he should ignore the seaport Buhari is building in Ondo and build a new one in his own area, right? It is thinking like yours that has kept this country where it is. You are correct, GEJ worked on things he thought were more expedient for Nigeria and not just his village. He expended a lot of resources building almajiri schools in the North. He permitted Adesina to heavily invest in irrigation in the North. He built the Kaduna-Abuja railway. He modernised nigeria's airports. To mention a few. Goods imported into Ondo will still be ferried by road to Aba, Onitsha, PH. It makes no sense, but then again, you are not engaged in this discourse to make sense. |
post=79927337:No, you are the one being tribalistic and supporting evil due to irrational hatred. Why Ondo? That's a sensible, patriotic question to ask. PH, Warri and Calabar have ports already which are deliberately neglected and dilapidated. It will be cheaper to develop these ones than build a new one in Ondo. Onitsha and Aba based businesses have the highest need for a seaport and PH, Warri or Calabar are much closer to them. The question, why Ondo? is therefore legitimate but YOUR tribalism and hatred wont let you see the logic in it. |

bestdudes:An individual CANNOT expand a car plant without state support. A company like Innoson should not be boorrowing funds from commercial banks at market rates! Every Chineese car plant is part state owned and today they are dominating the world. Nigeria should work with Innoson! Give his business easy access to low cost longterm credit and other incentives even if it means taking a nominal stake in the business. A country that masters car production techonology has conquered high tech because to make a car requires electrical, mechanical, structural, glazing, etc,. Innoson is capable for employing hundreds of thousands of Nigerians if well supported. |
Las las, Ala Igbo is still far more developed than the North and large portions of SW.. Which northern state capital comes close to Owerri, Enugu and Awka in developemt terms? We can hold our own in education, commerce, finance, etc. So, no, Ndi Igbo doesn't want your presidency or political appointment if it means prostrating before people we consider less able/capable than us! All we want is for merit to prevail everywhere - from school admission to employment. Finally, and most importantly, we want our destiny to be decided in Enugu by an Okechukwu and not in far away Abuja by an Abubakar with whom we share zero affinity or apiration. That's all! |
okonja:Easy to say when you are not on the plane, experiencing the purbulence yourself. All your rational reasoning capability will desert you ![]() |
CoolAmbience:Please read Cambrige's Paul Anber's Modernisation and Political Disintegration: Nigeria and the Ibos published in 1967. He's not Igbo or Nigerian so presents, i hope you'd agree, an unbiased assessment of Nigeria's status quo pre war. This extract summarises my point: “With unparalleled rapidity, the Ibos advanced fastest in the shortest period of time of all Nigeria’s ethnic groups. Like the Jews to which they have frequently been likened, they progressed despite being a minority in the country, filling the ranks of the nation’s educated, prosperous upper classes… It was not long before the educational and economic progress of the Ibos led to their becoming the major sources of administrators, technicians, and civil servants for the country, occupying senior positions out of proportion to their numbers.” Have a great day, brother. |
