LadyGuinivere: This is a new season. Either that its Trump foot and mouth disease or there's a coded policy to hold back visas. Personally I have the conspiracy theory that they are 'afraiding' us now cos this economy can even make Buhari pikin run away. Saw this and thought to Share... really harsh!!!!!! |

splendidT: I have been following this thread from part 1 thru 4. Had my visa interview this morning with hubby in Abuja. Went with all necessary docs as seen on this thread, was denied for no reason.
Vo: good morning Hubby & I: good morning. Vo: (scans passports and then looks thru the screen), i can see you are going to have your baby in the US? Hubby: yes. Vo: how much do you think this trip will cost? Hubby: 16K usd. Wanted to pass her budget sheet but she said "I don't need to see any doc." Vo: where do you work (asking hubby)? Hubby: xyz multinational company, and as abc manager. Vo: how much do you earn? Hubby: told her actual pay (well above 600K monthly), attempted giving her payslips but she again declined saying same. Vo: flips thru hubby's passport and asked "what did u go for in Egypt?" Hubby: I went for training - gave details (meanwhile Hubby has been to UK & France many times, as well as SOuth Africa, and Egypt) Vo: can I see ur acct statement? Hubby: passed on savings and salary statements (about 30K usd) Vo: typed and typed and typed...sorry your application has been denied. Passed yellow form and said have a nice day.
She didn't even ask me any question + na so she just dey bone. She 'drilled' a preg woman before me like say d woman offended her before (kept asking her like 6 different times 'y not give birth in south Africa, UK, must it be US), come deny her join.
i dey pray say make she no call me o but...na she call me (window 9). She don reject everybody before us sef.
House, please advise. I am considering applying again next month o...I'm 21 weeks gone. I think you should reapply after about a month. And better still reapply alone. Let hubby serve as a tie. Still maintain the same purpose of visit. And make sure you go with your burden of proof and one more thing don't push forward or offer any document until it's requested for. It is well. God will grant you favour. |

I don't know your location but if in abuja just go to churchgate building their office in central area and pay direct using your ATM card. At least you get your clarifications direct from them. They will help you get the best deals directly. All the best on your alaska journey. Kemo88: Hello everyone, How's the weekend going? As my Alaska journey gets closer fear dey catch me lol. Anyhoo, please I am trying to book emirates online: 1) I noticed the only payment option online is to use your card. Is there a bank you can pay in like some other airlines do? My card doesn't work online and they don't accept third party cards so I can't use anyone else's card. 2) I intend to travel at 35weeks, I saw an epistle and a form on emirates website talking about "traveling as a preggie" and fit to fly (their fit to fly seems a bit more detailed than other airlines). Please I hope they won't give me wahala on the day of my trip. Please those who flew emirates while pregnant can you advice me? Thanks |

Wow! congrats, I'm happy for her. I pray such order of favor will locate my family friend. She's been denied 4 times! Her hubby already had a visa before they got married so she applied after marriage and she was already pregnant she filled honeymoon and was asked if she was pregnant she said no and still got denied. 2nd time she reapplied stating childbirth/vacation, VO still denied her saying she lied the last time . 3rd time same thing! she finally gave up and had her baby here in naija. Then her hubby vex thinking say na vex matter, instead of doing a Dropbox renewal for his own visa that expired, he decided to apply with wify and their child and go for interview. Fast forward to interview day, armed with all documents, docs correspondence etc they gave him and their child visa and still denied wify again saying she lied at her first interview! I tire for the case. ifyalways: Yes dear, First trip to US, First birthing experience after 3 US visa refusals with the last one being in December. She flew Emirates, 303,100 ngn to JFK. Turkish airlines, Arik etc are cheaper though. |

thank you for this explanation! ucystan: Not necessarily true, I had a state ID card (state of ohio). I couldn't be carrying my international passport around. So I was informed that it was ok for me to make an ID (just that it had d duration of my stay in my passport to expire) i used it to fly, enter grey hound, clubs and any other place an ID was required, Even d library. So it's not necessarily bcus u re looking to enjoy a benefit. It actually came in very handy and more convenient, not having to carry my green passport anywhere I went. |

Petdaughter: Hi Guys, I noticed my son has "tongue tie" (pls google it) right from the delivery room. He wasn't latching well to breastfeed and it was really painful for me. I showed the pediatrician and he did a simple procedure to remove it, cost me $350. The Dr. was really happy that I was observant and spotted it. After the child is about 6months, it becomes a more serious surgery requiring anesthesia. I thank God it went well. thank God it was discovered early and you also took a wise decision to do it ASAP. Even though it's cheaper here sha but nothing spoil. All that matters is that baby is doing very well. Take care. |

shithapuns: @leaky tribe, saw the 30kg on their website, but I hv dug deeper now, and hv seen 2bags of 23kg each. thanks for the quick response.
did you use Dubai connect...? how was the experience...was it worth it?. pls confirm the carry on baggage policy, can 1 carry a laptop bag + a small briefcase/box?............some airline allow that flexibility, but arik is notorious for insisting on only 1 carry on bag/laptop bag.
hv u flown united?...how wud u compare united and emirates service/inflight entertainment?.............wud hv preffered united since its a direct flight, but its quite pricey! I think you should call Emirates or go to their office and confirm. Someone travelling next week just told me they reviewed their baggage allowance recently. |

But why? All this would not have come up if you had restrained yourself a little. This was why some people told you to avoid confrontation. You should have just done your background moves silently without confronting them till maybe the day of your departure. After chopping all that insult from your sis in-law since you've been there what else did you expect from her? someone that has been nursing ill feelings towards you since. Well, the deed has been done so just manage till you come home. Avoid further confrontations please. If you have cash to spare then move out if not then apologize to them and start forming "pls forgive me tinz". kpele. This is a big lesson to intending mamas start saving o and if you really have to stay with a host then be ready to 'chop' anything. girlloom: My dear, coming here was a massive mistake. I am 30 and this lady is 34, I knew I had entered one chance when she told me to attach Aunty to her name and uncle to her husband. Few weeks after I arrived here, I had a chat with my husband on bbm that I was being treated like a maid, this lady went through my phone while I was sleeping, read the chat and got upset. My husband made me apologize to her for invading my own privacy. Despite the fact my pregnancy was high risk, this lady turned me into a semi maid. Things I haven't done in my own house I have done here. She once instructed me to warm food for her 2 year old, my son started crying and I went to attend to him, she asked about the food and I told her my son was crying, her response was 'so you left my son's food because he was crying, let him cry now' Her son comes back with all sorts of sickness from daycare, she gets upset when I try to protect my child. Now my son is ill, caught a bad cold, thanks to her son sneezing on his face severally. I have had sleepless nights in the past 2 days and will have to take him in tomorrow and pay as we have no insurance. Back to what happened today, she said I was ungrateful because I asked why they opened my son's envelope...imagine? My husband delayed in sending money for his visa and that's the only reason I am still here. Her husband was able to pacify her to let me stay saying what would people say back home. Let me also add that she keeps saying she and her brother were very close before he met me and I want to change him. I plan to change my ticket to the earliest date possible and I am still going to call the IRS. Apologies for my uncoordinated rant, I am upset that I am in this kind of situation. Left my spacious house to come and chop insult in this cabin. |

TheLeakyTribe ha! This is painful not just sad. God will see you through the POE and the entire journey. He will provide miraculous funds for you. That girl is just an agent of wickedness and she will jam her fate soon. Don't be discouraged be strengthened. It is well with you and your family. Something similar almost happened to my friend but she caught the pretentious thief a few days before her birthing journey. I hope you reported the case . All the best. And thanks for sharing this. |
