Yipee! I love hearing dallas gist. Congrats! swappylove: Hi everyone,my POE story. Came in yesterday to dallas fort Worth via frankfurt In lagos,i was asked for fit to fly by the lufthanza staff but that's the only place I was asked . Arriving in dallas, people with b1/b2 visa do automated custom check but if u have food or over 10k( which I did) u will be sent to an officer. The officer stamped me in for 6 months after asking how long I wanted to say n I said I wanted to give birth.no questions about receipts from previous birth and all.i was quite scared cos last time I came to gv birth I didn't say. It was all breezy and I think dallas is a very good POE. Meanwhile is there anyone in dallas to give birth right now? Pls pm me |

@enizo haaa.... what is the guarantee that the visa officer in booth 7 and 8 will be there always? when i had mine i saw a VO leave and after about 15mins a different one replaced her. Enizo: LG please na dis is the only family I know if needs be that I relocate to another everybody here has to port with me. LG trust me when I say this I love this our family I think we should have a physical hangout session. FYI this fam ensured I was prepared for DW POE saga and my visa application. For those using the embassy in abuja try ensuring the VO @ 7 and 8 attend to you they are stressless peeps |

Immediately, he said am sending them back.
I don't know what he saw, I don't know what happened, I was moved wheeled forward and he was to scan my mom, then he asked who is bla bla bla... I said I am, he said Oh no! I have made a mistake. He immediately radioed some people and said they should please send a manager to him.
When the manager came, he enquired what the problem was, he said he made a mistake and the manager asked ain't we sending them back. He said No, I made a big mistake.
He re-scanned me and stamped me in 6 months, scanned my mom and my daughter and said Sorry about the mistake. Welcome to America.
My fellow mamas, no document was asked, my purpose wasn't even asked, nothing at all.
The devil stuck out his ugly head but God cut it off.
I am presently in my host''s place. Waiting for my appointment tomorrow with Dr. Ezekiel.
Praise be to God.
Hallelujah.[/quote]Another success story... Thank God! |

yokus: Dr's Fee $1900 Hosp Fee $2300 NICU- $621 Brown & Associates- $178 broken into mother & Child $79 + $99 ( i was expecting one bill. Hehehe, i guess i was mistaken) i dont understand why my bill is relatively higher than other pples own for B&A. Swab test- $200 Paedatrician - 1st visit$75 + 2nd visit$55= $130 + $20 navel bleeding treatment (though dr said its not too necessary, me wey know say i dey travel, said id rather u treat her) =$150 ETC- $320 Mrs Stells is nice. But i met a rookie, who wasted my time cos she didnt know how to give boarding pass with ETC, but it was all sorted out. Passport -$165 Went all the way to Austin for Birth Cert, 6hours to & fro, cheii. Its a nice city though, very diff scenery from Houston n Richmond. Naming - $200 (i just needed a Pastor to pray for her...i did it for her elder ones, i didnt want her to be an exception & damn that caterers food was nice) Extra luggage - mmmm i went prepared, i paid for 4 extra luggage online n when i got there and the lady was like infant has only one. I said NO, she has 2, i called united 2ce to confirm this and they said she has 2, and if they hadnt said thta i would have paid for 5extra boxes. She just said alright, alright. I was so happy oo, though i had the cash to pay near by incase she didnt agree. I kukuma used it for duty freeeee..... hehe. Chei i don try for ther from Nov to Feb. I used Mr Chris (whose number i screen munched here) n uber whenever i didnt have someone to give me a ride. They r both good. Mr Chris is patient. Arrived Nigeria, welcomed with slap from heat, they scratched my LO's car seat n stroller, but what da heck; I'm home. Went to get BCG injection for LO. I made a couple of friend Chicagobound my love mua, Neks sugar, Ade, Ires mum (u know ur self) & soulcare- a pleasant acquaintance. Thanks Nerf for answering my pm, justwise for moderating, Tvegas (my most screen munched poster), Nogen, favouredgal, shelly23 Lady G- i dont know u, but i love u so much, the way you reply pples comments here just makes me wanna hug u on their behalf. mrsbw: All the people that keep asking for referrals to Dr F. If you truly want to use him, why not pay the $300. And if you don't plan to use him, don't you think you'd have spoilt the reputation of the person who referred you, and the person's future referrals might not be worth anything? My 2 cents.. and I bet you so many use his correspondence just for visa purposes. I feel for Dr F joor. |

bbaby84: Lady G... This one you post this morning I no gree o. Future readers that want to go and have their babies must have saved enough or earn enough to convince the VO they are capable of settling their bills. It's not by knowing another's salary. Even if they know, would they go to the embassy and say that's what they earn or will they change jobs/quickly get promoted etc. I don't understand this POV my sis. Torchlight am well make I understand. I don't think salaries should be posted (it doesn't make any difference)and if people want to it's their choice. on point! That posting of salary can lead to plenty talk here. |

So feel free to comment where you have good opinion or knowledge on an issue. cutelass: When u've dotted ur T's and crossed ur I's and still get delayed for 4-10 hrs, den dia is cause for alarm. Even Lax takes pple for extensive secondary inspection, and I've also read of the JFK incidences...but Houston and Chicago has always stuck out as sore thumbs...u even narrated ur friend's experience in houston and ur sis in law's experience in Chicago and swore never to step foot in ORD...no one is contesting the fact that the power to let u into their country lies in the hands of the cbps, my question is are d cbp's in Houston working with different laws than others? I agree I said all that but still it still doesn't change the fact that it's their rules, their country. It's not our right to be there but a privilege . Na we carry our legs go apply for visa. So we play by their rules. And if unavoidably you have to go through those POEs then be ready to take anything you see. Meanwhile IAH was and will be a breeze for some |

cutelass: Overzealous is d word! D CBP officer's in NY, NJ, LAX are nt doing their job? Their airport, their country, their rules, I guess if one wants to get in then play by the rules. They're just doing their job whether overzealous or not. With God on your side If you have dotted your I's and crossed your T's then no cause for alarm. Mind you the same JFK has occasional issues too. It's been reported on this thread. |

mitchyy: Thanks dear. My issue is that dh didn't take my initial complaints serious. Ever since ms stopped and i became strong, he just assumes i'm back to my old workaholic self and the worst is over. I complained of this pain to him after i overworked myself the day before and he said its good, its all part of exercise which a pregnant woman should do. He's still sleeping now and has left me to make breakfast by myself this morning despite the painful contractions Mitchyy!!!!!!!! no make me vex o! better apply wisdom here. breakfast ko breakfast ni! There is no award for strong women o! but there is an award after you have your baby/babies. Yesterday i got news that some1 i know lost her baby she had cerclage done about 2 weeks ago and the doctor recommended total bed rest in the hospital but her hubby insisted on taking her home for the "bed rest". lo and behold she started bleeding and went back to the hospital after all said and done she lost that baby. she was in her 2nd trimester. The stress of climbing staircase and moving up and down at home contributed to the loss. I'm really gutted for her. So please mitchyy apply wisdom and glue your body to your bed! Infact you don't need to tell dh anything your body language alone will do the talking. after having your baby you can resume your strong wife duties. |
