One hopes that Soludo will continue to devise a way of using Direct Labour to address the mammoth challenge of bad roads within the major Anambra cities.
It is obvious that due to how massive the collapse of road infrastructure is within Anambra cities, not even the budget of Lagos State can address the situation by awarding all the roads as "Contracts". Let contracts to construction companies be used for building roads traversing from one part of the state to another. While internal city roads and drainage gutters are purely by DIRECT Labor through a special committee on Anambra internal city roads that reports directly to the governor.

If we learned anything from the administration of Sam Egwu and Umahi in gradually transforming the city of Abakaliki as the best good roads network in the southeast, it is the fact that they both used DIRECT LABOUR to gradually rebuild every street and every gutter in the city. That is the ONLY cost-effective method that can be employed to transform the internal city roads in Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, Ekwulobia, etc.

We cannot afford the method of awarding "contracts" for our internal city roads in Anambra state. That is a very expensive and wasteful method which will not address 1% of the problem of bad roads within our major cities.

Northerners are using the Agbadorian Grandfather to legitimatize an election that they have planned to rig in favour of the North for years. If a power hungry Tinubu was not involved in the electoral contest, you would most probably be dealing with someone like Osibanjo representing the South West in APC as the presidential flag bearer. That would have been dicey for the North. If the North went ahead to vote for Atiku or Kwankwaso against Osibanjo, there would not have been any other reason for that apart from tribalism. It would have been so glaring! That would have set off a chain of reactions and events down south.

But by skillfully luring the Emilokan masquerade into the scene, while aware that he's mentally unfit, the north played a very masterful card. To start with, Tinubu is thoroughly a flawed candidate. Even his most ardent supporters look embarrassed standing behind him. Most of his supposed traditional political bases are traumatized but his bewildering campaign which is slowly turning into an epic comedy show. If Tinubu is rigged out of the presidency, most people will be nonchalant in places like Lagos, Akure or say Benin. In the east, it will be good riddance to a bad rubbish. So who will agitate against Atiku or Kwankwaso then? None! More reason why the whole South should solidly stand behind Peter Obi.
