But OP, u sef made a rather fast decision. The purpose of relationships is to know the other person better, and to make better that part of them we feel is not right.

You should have held on a while, perhaps sit her down and tell her where u think things aren't right with her. Let her say d same of you too, then both of you can arrive at a compromise.

Relationship is a job on its own, you can't find a perfect person. It takes a lot of hard work from both parties to make things work

I don't think it's a man's responsibility to provide for a woman, his family of that's the arrangements they've agreed on but I kick against this mindset...

While society has agreed that a woman is not obliged to do the house chores, cook or wash for her man and men should learn to do these things, society had failed and resisted the introduction of equality in the responsibilities of a man to his woman. Society screams "women are not men's slave and it's not their inherent duty to cook, clean and tidy the house for her husband" but society screams "if you can't spend money on your girlfriend or wife, you are not a man and it's the duty of a man to provide. If you love your girlfriend, you will spend on her." Why can't society support the idea of equality and insist that men don't owe women a dime and it's not a man's inherent duty to provide? Why doesn't society insist that women too should contribute financially and can be the bread winners? Isn't it about equality?

This is what women contribute to marriage and complain of stress.
