While I'm of the opinion that the VP slot should be given to SE, I kinda find some comments funny, mostly about SS, most of these online political pundit know little or nothing about how APC has penetrated deeply into the region, The only PDP stronghold in Southern Nigeria is SE, APC is now deeply rooted in Delta state (All thanks to Ogboru and Agege), In Edo Oshiomole will make sure he delivers his state to APC, Akwa Ibom will be divided, the only states PDP can get above 70% vote from are Rivers and Bayelsa.

Most of you guys on this forum are just ignorant, and I hate it when you talk about states you know little or nothing about, The mace stealing senator is one of the most influential politician in Delta Central, In fact APC is now a major threat to PDP in Delta state.

Atiku will even find it difficult to win Delta state.

Tambuwal's candidacy would have been an error for PDP and they know it.

Atiku just needs to work on his homebase, the North East. Then with support from the Middlebelt, South South and South East, he can ride an elephant to the moon. However, he should be careful with his choice of VP. A South-Southerner or South-Westerner would be his best bet if he wants additional support. The South East will vote for him regardless of who his VP is because they really won't have a choice. It's either Buhari or Atiku. The South South is polarised along ethnic lines and APC has been making in-roads in Delta, Akwa Ibom and Cross River. Its best he selects someone that can command respect in the region. If he goes with the South West, then he should pick someone that can rival Tinubu's oligarchic dynasty.

Atiku has a lot of hard choices to make, if he ever stands a chance.
Buhari is too self-confident and that may ultimately make or mar him.

Atiku won't get it easy in Delta state, he might even not clear the state, APC is now greatly rooted in the state,I say this because of the things I'm seeing, most of the thugs rigging for PDP in a certain town in Delta Central are all now pro APC, Plus they just played their card well in the just concluded state primaries.

This election won't be like that of 2019, Now we have the options of choosing between two strangers, unlike 2015 were everyone campaign seriously for GEJ (Our brother factor), even those who weren't a member of PDP then campaigned for GEJ, the likes of Ogboru,Omoagage,etc were pro GEJ, it was only Olorugun Otega that was pro Buhari, now some heavyweight itsekiri politicians are seriously campaigning for APC, they need Delta south Senatorial seat which PDP didn't give to them.

Edo state will also be tough for him, the only states that will to easy to get in South South are Bayelsa and Rivers. This is just my own observations.

Atiku won't be able to win Delta state, This is just the reality on ground, APC just played their card well in the just concluded state primaries.

Uvwie people migrated from Erhowa in Isoko via Effurun-Otor in Urhobo. Okpe migrated from Ile Ife, via Benin and berthed at Olomu, in Urhobo, from where they migrated to their current abode. You should do some healthy reading because you appear quite ignorant.

That Aboh call Isokos "Eggaboh" has no bearing with Isoko's appellation as Sobo by the colonial masters and as "Igabo" by some missionaries. All historical proofs show that Isokos were tagged as Sobos, together with Urhobos. Even Isokos themselves know this. In fact, Isoko used to be known as Eastern Urhobo from around 1940 to 1963. Okpe and Uvwie were part of Western Urhobo around the same time.

Many Uvwie people answer the names you mentioned. You seem to know so little of Uvwie people. You probably haven't been to Uvwie land before and thus, your misinformation. I can't even count the number of "Oghene" prefixed named in Okpe and Uvwie. @Efewestern, do justice to this.

If you fail to exhibit some measure of objective research on your part, I'll desist from replying you any further. I enjoy interactions with those who are armed with facts, not sentiments.

The Uvwies of my mom's generation bear names that are totally different from Urhobo names. Nothing like Ese, Efe, Oghene etc in their names. All my mom's relatives from Father to uncles, to Aunts to siblings and cousins have non-Urhobo sounding names. And my mom has told me that her father told them that they r actually from Okpe. personally, i believe the Uvwies migrated from Okpe Kingdom. DYK that the current Ovie of Uvwie(omogu) is only like the 2nd or 3rd Ovie?

That your people call Isoko Egabboh has no bearing with the reality on ground, the isokos for long were referred to as "Sobo" alongside their Urhobo cousin, even our colonial master tried unifying both ethnic group using the word "Sobo".

Secondly Uvwie names are 80% urhobo, in fact uvwie answer general Urhobo names just like every other Urhobo clans, if you feel your mother's family names are not related to Urhobo then I expect you to tell us the names let's see if they are Urhobo or not, even isoko bear general Urhobo names,is it now Uvwie?

Thirdly Uvwie has never in any way denied their Urhoboness, infact the first time they interviewed the ovie of Uvwie, the first thing he said was " My people are Urhobo".

I can see you know little or nothing about the Uvwie people.

Otega faction is unrecognized, he has less fans, the real MVP here is Omo-agege, he used Ogboru's influence to capture Delta Central. Otega is Likely to decamp to PDP soon, And I see APC also winning Delta South senatorial district.

Use and dumped?, then I think you are not following up with the latest power tussle between Agege and Tega, Omo-agege is indeed a rough man, he has successfully "Cornered" Delta APC, if not for him, Ogboru wouldn't have won the state primaries, Otega for now has no strong political root in Delta state and even Delta Central, He lost it the moment he started going after Ogboru.

By the way, Agege controls the legal APC faction.

According to the population census isoko north has about 235,000 people while isoko south has 120,000 so am confused how they outnumber others.burutu has over 200,000 people and is a federal constituency on its own.if you add patani and bomadi populations to burutu it will be more than that of the isokos.i havent even added the ijaws in in warri south west.so im at sea.

The Two Isoko local government are densely populated, unlike the areas occupied by the Ijaw's and itsekiri's, another fact is that of all the warri local governments, Warri south is the LGA with the highest population, and Urhobo occupies a large part of that Local government area, leaving the other parts to the Itsekiri's and ijaw's.

Patani, Bomadi and Burutu can't be compared to Isoko North and Isoko South.

However, let me contribute a little to your life by educating you. Delta Central is 100% Urhobo. Delta South is 30% Itsekiri, 40% Isoko, 25% Ijaw and 5% Urhobo.

Delta Central is 100% Urhobo, Delta South is being shared by Isoko, itsekiri, Urhobo(The Urhobos in Delta south occupies Warri South local government area) and Ijaws.

Warri north is not in Delta Central but Delta south and it's being dominated by the itsekiri's.

Patani LGA - diluted with Urhobo populations
Warri South West - populated by Itsekiris
Bomadi - exclusively Ijaw
