Update: Do you guys noticed Atiku didn't bring his campaign to warri?, they must have briefed him, same way Buhari couldn't take his campaign to Asaba, I think they both know their boundaries in the state ![]() cc: WarriAproko |
disturbedman:The thread is quite interesting, and I'm surprise it didn't make FP, lalasticlala and mynd44, u guys might want to take a look. |
As political candidates are getting set for the elections they are ready to make different promises. But do citizens know what they are promising? Do they also know where they can meet these candidates and effectively engage them and take them up on their campaign promises. These video offers some tips and as citizens we have to learn to be engaged https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qknYw4_7dOw |
April4th:Did you just mention Tompolo?, Sorry sir, but Tompolo has no political weight in Delta state, we are not talking about militancy, even if it's militancy his influence ends in his backyard, maybe you are unaware that we have different ethnic groups occupying Delta state, with Urhobo being the largest, they occupy Delta Central and Delta south, So how can tompolo decides who wins an election, when his ethnic group is a minority in the state? Uduaghan and Manager will have a tough fight, the isokos will be the ones to decide who wins the senatorial election, For now 90% of itsekiri's are with Uduaghan and 90% of Ijaws are with Manager. |
Produke:Okowa doesn't have all Nine Anioma LGA to himself, Ukwuani is for Ogboru, Ogboru is winning Uvwie, PDP made so many mistakes in Uvwie in 2016/17, they harassed some key members, locked up someone who has so many influence (name withheld), etc, so over the past few months there have been series of decamping which was in favor of APC. Okpe and Sapele for sure will be for Ogboru but with little margins, Ogboru is also clearing Isoko and Itsekiri, and I'd like to correct your earlier statement, Ogboru is not sharing votes with anyone in Delta Central, he is getting nothing less than 75-80% votes from that axis, which is also the most populated zone in the state. |
designking:Oshare I greet you. For now the only PDP stronghold in Delta central is Ethiope West, uvwie has been infiltrated, the likes of Baro and Co are working heavily for APC. Let's not also forget the fact that Ogboru is also related to anioma and has strong political strength in some towns and villages in Delta North (most especially ukwuani LGA). |
soliddust2020:Oshare I fear for this your analysis o. ![]() 40%-50% of Urhobos will vote for Okowa?, even when two Urhobo sons were contesting, Ibori couldn't even pull up to 30% votes from The Urhobos, if not for rigging, Ibori would have lost his battle with Ogboru, not to talk of someone who isn't from Delta Central, this election will be a shocker, the trust the people have now for Ogboru is one I haven't seen before, this is what happens when you have a strong party behind your back. There is something you need to know, and that is the natural love the masses have for Ogboru, I myself, even if I pretend not to show support for any candidate, I always wish in my mind Ogboru wins, this is something money can't buy. Would love to give a breakdown, but hey, I'm tired of typing same thing over and over again. As for the presidential elections, I reserve my comment, Peace Oniovo. |
Kingsleydr:3% of Nigerian youths run to Kenya every year, please where do you get your information from? You guys just shoot out stats from your head. |
sometimes I just feel this Buhari is not sensible, why hit up the polity at this critical stage? Does he even have an adviser? |
Benlag:Dude we need to blame the government here, both the federal and state government, Nigeria is a very messed up country, I have been to ABA and Araria, bro you won't believe what I saw that day. To even think the current governor is an Ngwa man is more saddening, Nigeria is caused with clueless and wicked leaders, do you know the potential Abia state has?, but the state is currently in mess, now you are blaming the traders for a job the government should have done, are they not paying their taxes?, how do you expect traders to fix road, do proper drainage etc with their own little profit? This APC aspirant is just ranting, give her the position and also watch her loot to death, spit on them all, bunch of thieves. |
kingkakaone:You don't get, majority of the youths aren't from Delta, talk less of Uvwie, most are strangers who just joined some of the indigenes in creating problems. I reside in these areas so I know what's up. lol.. for Sure Uvwie is in Delta state na. |
obailala:couldn't have said it better, do you even know that half these "Youths" aren't even from Delta?, especially those Uvwie "Youths". |
kingkakaone:Oniovo I greet, the situation at home is quite pathetic, there is nothing much we can do at this stage, but I still think the level of kidnapping in Warri is less, compare to other cities. |
kingkakaone:Agreed most companies left Warri during the last warri crisis, but Warri is now peaceful, there haven't been any serious issues since the last clash. You made mention of kidnapping, please where do you guys get your information from?, there is no such thing as kidnapping in the city. |
Litmus:THERE IS NO kidnapping in Warri, Warri is one of the most peaceful city in Nigeria, aside from the last crisis we haven't had any serious life threatening crisis, I think we should confirm our information before spilling out on a public forum like this. Dangote citing is refinery in Lagos has nothing to do with the instability in some parts of the Delta, he initially wanted to cite the project in Ondo, but the then governor goofed and Lagos wooed him. |
olujastro:Sorry sir, PDP is not only the corrupt party in Nigeria, APC is still doing same, they are all the same, let's take Lagos for example, how do one explain the level of corruption going on there? |
Adaka103:Oboro defeat Omo-agege?, I'm from Delta Central and I can give you a breakdown on what's going on in my home, this isn't even a matter of APC or PDP, PDP didn't present any better options, this lady thinks running for senatorial position is like a beauty pigment. In a free and fair election, Omo-agege will defeat Oboro in Uvwie (Her stronghold), Ughelli, Udu, Ethope East, Sapele, Okpe, let's not even talk about the Ogboru factor which Omo-agege quickly keyed into. The likes of Baro who was seriously humiliated by PDP some years back will do everything he can to deliver some part of Uvwie to APC. Let me not even go further, cous it appears majority of people on here just comment for commenting sake. |
YOUNGELDER1:This has nothing to do with Igbo, we humans are generally tribalistic, if we are not hating because of Tribe, we will be hating because of state, if we are not hating because of state, we will be hating because of Community/LGA, if we are not hating because of community, we will be hating because of family, we can go on and on, simply put, we just find any silly reasons to hate. Tribe, religion , skin color, etc doesn't really matter, what matters most is the altitude of the person you are dealing with, I have met several people from Imo state who are wonderful and I have also met people from my State who are demons, let's do away with tribalism, it won't take us anywhere. |
Most people here shouting Delta is PDP and PDP is Delta haven't been to the state before, most times I just laugh at their level of ignorance, while PDP is deeply rooted in the State, APC has so far penetrated into 2 of the 3 senatorial district in the state. During the last general elections, APC had no supporters in the state, every candidates campaigned for GEJ (Our brother factor, even Ogboru who was not a PDP Member campaigned seriously for GEJ), now fast forward to 2019, almost all top influential politicians are now campaigning for APC, that should tell you that this won't be game as usual. This is just my analysis, and I don't support both parties, they are the same, bunch of thieves. |
As the general elections keep drawing closer it is important to remain peaceful in all our politics and election campaigns. Nigerians shouldn’t let any politicians set them up against each other, their kids and family are in faraway land enjoying the best life can offer while we are here suffering, there's no need for us to injure, maim or kill one another other in any politician’s name. Your neighbour whom you so much detest because of his/her divergent political affiliations or views, remains more helpful to you than any politician who may not even know you exist. If you are in a deep problem, it is your next door person who is more likely to come to your aid. Politicians come and go; but we the citizens of this country remain. Please I'm using this medium to beg all Nigerians to shun Electoral violence, these politicians don't worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUryWSi6ZQg |
Buhari is currently in warri to flag off his presidential campaign, he paid a courtesy visit to the Olu of Itsekiri. Pics below.
|
UNCL3:Oshare, grounds are shifting, you saying APC won't get up-to 15% vote in Delta is a lie, with the way things are now, ATIKu won't get much votes from delta, he might win, but with little difference. I don't want to debate about the governorship elections, you already said Ogboru isn't influential. But in all, remember not to fight anybody because of these useless politicians, they care less about you and me. Peace. |
In the bits of human stories that unite us. We must remember that elections will come and go.We the masses will remain. The Moral Code reminds us again with bits of stories of our unity as Nigerians, stories to hold on to as elections again draws near. Enjoy as you watch and learn from the only animated talk show in Naija at the moment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUryWSi6ZQg |
Sorry it's coming late, happy birthday Oniovo. Wishing you more life and prosperity |
franchasng:Please remove Hezbollah from your list, Hezbollah is not a terrorist organization, they are resistant group protecting their land from land grabbers, you should read more about them before tagging them as terrorists. They control a good percentage of Lebanon political seat, they provide social amenities for their citizens, their hospital is one of the best in Lebanon, their schools are well equipped, far more equipped than any school in West Africa. Unfortunately Lebanon can't disarm them because of the fear of Israel grabbing their land, With Hezbollah in Lebanon, Everyone knows their boundaries, simply put, Hezbollah is a resistant group, and the only Arab non-state militias to ever win a war with Israel. |
hammerFC:lol.. but the case you just highlighted is quite different from what the OP asked, it's obvious the said lady is a tribalist. God knows I will marry any body I want to marry, who doesn't like it should go and hug transformer. Thou I'm already hooked with someone, I made it clear to everyone that I won't take rubbish from any member of my family, believe me, they all adjusted. If I'm wrong let me face the consequences. e no pass so. |
hammerFC:I lost a soldier from my hometown during the last Boko Haram strike, these men fighting this War are our brothers, should I because of my dislike for the Armed Forces support Boko Haram?. As for the fulani issue, we all know soldiers take orders from their boss, and Buhari has proven several times to be a bigot & a tribalist, so don't expect him to go hard on his own people like he did on IPOB. Happy new year boss. |
Ikechu12:145 battalion doesn't translate to 145 soldiers, even if the operation was carried out by 145 soldiers it changes Nada, During the 2006 Lebanon/Isreali war, 5,000 Israeli troops couldn't conquer a town held by 140 Hezbollah militias, despite constant bombardment and air superiority, they withdrew, going by your logic should we say the IDF are weak? Not every time you attack our Armed Forces, I understand your dislike for our men, but hey, take it easy and give kudos to them for a job well done. God bless our gallant troops. |
fratermathy:The road master, Sai PDP, Sai Okowa ![]() Okowa is the best governor in Nigeria, he has commissioned hundreds of Roads in just 3years, ![]() |
If men raised their standards, there will be better and more responsible women. In this episode of The Moral Code. The host talks about how men are contributing to the increasing number of irresponsible women because they have refused to be better men. Watch now to determine if you agree or disagree with her on this matter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATvPG-LY3ig |
Nyamuriflathead:Nigerian Muslims don't not constitute 55% of our population, stop the lies already. You are an hypocrite, you talked about right of Muslims in Nigeria, whereas you guys are the first to implement your sharia law in Northern Nigeria without respecting the wishes of non Muslim in those states, but you want to be treated like kings in other regions. We should learn to live and let's live. |
SLBMS:Just want to let you know that some of us enjoy reading from you, keep it up, and don't forget to cc me when you write your next article. Kudos man. |
