depending on your business, if you can AFFORD dedicated server, no problem, go for it. but if you can't go for shared hosting.. 70% of business site are hosted on shared hosting.

shared hosting is not bad for online business, just get a good host.. why I recommend hostgator for people even thou it's quite expensive, I think they are trying. on the other hand Dedicated hosting is very very expensive let's say $100 per month, believe me you need to be popular before you can afford that.

As for the aspect of bandwidth and disk space, shared hosting is better, cous most times you'd consume 5TB of bandwidth and your account won't be suspended, and on shared hosting your disk space is as large as 1TB, but dedicated server won't give you such, you pay for extra TB.
