what's the cost of building this.. tell me Nigeria don't have that money to build something similar.. |
Amarabae:first of all ayiri is not urhobo, secondly his tribe contribute a huge portion of Nigeria wealth which is now been distributed to other parasites state, you asking how e made his billions?, he controls the itsekiri creek down to ilaje, both tribe are very rich in oil and gas, his mom is ilaje why is dad is itsekiri. so it's normal for him to be this rich, my problem with him is that he don't distribute his wealth and he also don't empower the youth. |
moscobabs:yes God is great but this is just nature.. those people are who mentally unstable usually develop different mechanism to combat such dirt and what have you. when last did you think mad people in Nigeria bath? or what do you think they are eating?. it's just nature man. meanwhile make I follow you shout allahhhuuuu akbar |
beautygboel:comment like this is the reason the country is still in this pitiable state. so because few whites did internet Fraud all Nigerian youth should engage in such, what nonsense.. why can't we copy other good things?, I don't see Nigeria developing in the next 100yrs, we are stuck in this mess together, we better sanitize the society instead of justifying criminals action. That's y most youth celebrate corrupt politicians.. and yes am proud of my country.. ![]() |
fratermathy:oniovo be truthful to yourself, isn't this country corrupt?.. the youths are criminals.. yes I said so.. about 20-15% are into fraud.. go to other countries, Nigerians there are I. e pushing drugs or doing yahoo. and funny enough we don't see anything wrong with that.. how can we develop with this kind of mentality?, Just take a trip to warri , abraka, Lagos, owerri and see for your self. Sometimes I regret been a Nigerian.. how many times have you heard of other countries been persecuted due to drugs trafficking? , 60% of all reported case in Africa are Nigeria. although the guy op generalized a lot.. |
urheme:you are welcome bros.. your spelling thou. lol. you need to learn how to write in urhobo. the op can teach you that.. urhobo wadooo!! |
mcPhuture:you didn't mention some top urhobo users on this thread, why? , abi you no know say you suppose greet the likes of fratermathy, ophare,.. Sanchez is already here.. urhobo wadooooo.. na we they run am.. proudly Nigerian #Proudly urhobo |
seun and lalaaticlala do the needful abeg. |
Osonobrughwe is actually the meaning for God In uvwie and it's not an odovan, correct me if am wrong. also the odovan title is not popular in every clans in urhobo/isoko land, in uvwie for example if you are called your praise name you reply with KADA! cc : fratermathy, Sanchez01 |
Boj2:I won't convince you on what to belief, it's your choice.. but don't overlook things.. not everything can be explained.. there are forces, if you like believe , if you like don't.. na your cup of akamu. |
Boj2:if you think life is all about physical then you are on a long run. don't doubt everything you read.. spiritual stuff happen.. just pray you don't encounter such. op take your friend to any church or shrine or priest, he needs deliverance. |
jboy73:he his not Yoruba. he his urhobo, thou his name sound Yoruba, but it's actually an itsekiri name. |
Explorers:in urhobo it's is e'kokodia, why some will say kokodia |
what do you expect, his tribe is very rich, and he was among those who fought for the interest of his itsekiri nation, I heard his mom is ilaje, another oil producing tribe.. so na oil money dem born am come. he is very popular In Delta and ondo state, but his influence does not extend to other state... reason you always see him associating with tinubu and co. na strong man .. he controls the creek from ilaje to itsekiri, anything he says is final, you dare not mess with him. |
nice one atony, Nigeria first before any tribe, when they commit crime you are Nigerian and when you are successful you are European, stupid whites. |
Irunmole:Thanks for the insight, I think my challenges is finding those to speak it with, I can hear very well but speaking is the problem my neighbors is uvwie and I do listen to there conversation. |
Evestar200:yes it means May God do it for you. |
LKO:no, but have lived there for a very long time, so I know everything about them, the issue of uvwie is saddening.. I just hope our leaders comes up with solution to save the uvwie dialect. |
Evestar200:yes he might be from orogun, but he his speaking the ukwuani language to you, or maybe he stayed in ukwuani or obiarukwu, the orogun language still maintain it's urhobo unique pattern thou some villages do mix little ukwuani with urhobo but orogun dialect is 86% urhobo. |
Nicho118:yes sure,, but I just corrected her, orogun still speak urhobo language, there case can be related to that of ofoni people who speaks ijaw and urhobo together . |
thread like this won't make fp, but if it's about those major tribe.. voome |
Evestar200:orogun doesn't speak ukuani as first language, only some part have some ukwuani words in there language, likewise ukwuani who also miss urhobo with there's. |
fratermathy:urhobo is been thought in our secondary school but not upto the senior secondary level and the teachers usually feel reluctant teaching it. av been to most schools in urhobo land and I know what am saying. I will suggest we keep some native urhobo song in our phone or laptops. for me I have some songs like Jomawotor by Jonhson adjah and some other native songs, so am using that as another avenue to master the language. I will also suggest we have regular meeting with parents, they are the only onces who can help in this, I was with my little niece some days back and they were asking me to teach them how to speak urhobo ,the little child even said it's not her fault that we refuse teaching her urhobo. |
fratermathy:I think you should remove orogun from your list, na mixture of pidgin and urhobo them they do there.. lalasticlala and seun oya do the needful |
fratermathy:yes I get your point, something really needs to be done about this, out of every 10 urhobo youth 2 can speak very well, 2 can only hear , the remaining six na OYO. I think nothing can be done about this, if you have suggestions on how to tackle this issue free free to drop it. |
fratermathy:lolx.. no be our fault, years from now I doubt if there would be any village in urhobo again, with the way we are developing. I prefer some villages in ughelle, those villages still speak urhobo well and if you speak pidgin they'd call you oyinbo cc lalasticlala and seun do the needful. |
fratermathy:actually the few that knows how to speak there language speak urhobo as there first language, even okpe speaks general urhobo as there first language. my fear is that those dialect are going extinct . |
Sanchez01:uvwie case tire me, thank God urhobo didn't relent. we just introduce our general urhobo to them since there language they hard them.. in Catholic mass it's urhobo they speak and uvwie indigenes understand very well, in fact all uvwie indigene understand urhobo but we don't understand uvwie that much. I hope they do something about this. |
Nicho118:the easy way out is to stay in any typical urhobo village for a month or two, you gonna catch up ..me no too sabi but I they try.. |
Sanchez01:the fault is actually from our parents, you can hardly seen an itsekiri youth that can't speak there language, are we not in the same warri together? , in fact itsekiri always name there children with there itsekiri language but that can't be said with urhobo, uvwie is the worst, hardly do you see someone speaking it, only the elders but I can hear very well but can't speak the dialect. this is wat development cause, almost all of urhobo land is fast becoming town, from warri to orerokpe to abraka to agharo to sapele to ughelle etc so they think the only way out is to master pidgin and forget about our root. cc: fratermathy |

The missile exploded shortly after take-off, they said - the second failed launch in the past fortnight. US President Donald Trump accused North Korea of showing "disrespect" towards China and its president. The missile was fired from a site in South Pyeongan province, north of Pyongyang, in the early hours of Saturday local time, South Korea said. It came just hours after the United Nations Security Council discussed North Korea's missile programme. Mr Trump tweeted : "North Korea disrespected the wishes of China & its highly respected President when it launched, though unsuccessfully, a missile today. Bad!" Mr Trump recently hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping and praised him for "trying very hard" on North Korea.Tensions in the region have increased lately, with both North and South Korea conducting military exercises. North Korea is believed to be continuing efforts to miniaturise nuclear warheads and fit them on long-range missiles capable of reaching the US. It is not known what kind of missile was unsuccessfully launched on Saturday, however, one official told Reuters it was probably a medium-range missile known as a KN-17. The land-based, anti-ship ballistic missile has already had two failures, but its message is that US, South Korean and Japanese ships should beware. Meanwhile, an American aircraft carrier - the USS Carl Vinson - has reportedly arrived in the region after it was sent to the Korean peninsula as part of Mr Trump's "armada". The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JSC) said in a statement that the "unidentified missile" was fired "from a site in the vicinity of Bukchang in Pyeongannam-do (South Pyeongan Province)" early on Saturday. Commander Dave Benham, a spokesman for US Pacific Command, also said the launch had occurred near the Bukchang airfield. He added that the missile did not leave North Korean territory. After Saturday's failed launch, the Japanese government condemned the test and said it had lodged a strong protest with North Korea through its diplomatic channels. Are the missile failures unusual? North Korea has had two failed missile launches this month - but that does not mean they will always fail, an expert has said. Jeffrey Lewis, a scholar at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, told the BBC this was to be expected when testing a new missile as there was such a variety of things which could go wrong. "Every time you have a new missile there are going to be growing pains," he said. "There is nothing unusual if it is new missiles. " It will fail until it doesn't. "In fact, the [American] rocket which put Alan Shepard [the first US man] in space was known as 'Old Reliable', but it failed nine out of 10 of its first tests." Data collected by his institute also suggested North Korea's old missiles "work just fine", he added. Mr Lewis also rejected suggestions a US cyber attack might have been behind the recent failures, pointing to successful launches in Iran. "If they are hacking the North Koreans, they would be hacking the Iranians," he noted. The US has threatened to use military force in North Korea if necessary. On Friday, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson accused UN Security Council members of not fully enforcing existing sanctions against the North, and called on China in particular to use its trade links as influence. But Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the key to solving the problem did not lie with his country. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-39750240 |
Dafe20:oniovo not only Delta state but Nigeria as a whole, we are cursed with bad leaders.. reason why I still think Nigeria is not the problem, neither will dividing the country solve any issue. we need to tell our self the truth, the country needs to be restructured in a way that people will no use FG as excuse for there problem. Everything just wrong with Nigeria , a country where fraudsters are praised and hardworking people been mocked on.. |
