Larrybabe, seems you are a moving time bomb waiting to detonate.

A lawyers responsibility is to give his client advice.

Take a hypothetical case, something happens which you were at the scene of, the police comes and circumstantial evidence showed that the possibility of you committing the crime is high. You get a lawyer who looks at the case and advices you to plea bargain so you have a reduced sentence. You insist that you did not do it which is actually true and take the part of honour. The case could swing either way but you know in your hearts of heart that you are telling the truth. These things happen and I am sure we are not all dimwhits here cool
@idygee

Its soo refreshing to know that there are thinking people with divergent and responsible views around.

Larrybabe is a hopeless case.

The language shows where she is from mentally .

What in the world would I want to learn from a person like you?

Just scroll back and see the first thing I said about you when you jumped in to attack me.

Its the exact thing you did with Spice girl.

But really, what exactly can you teach anyone?

you are making real sense here.
the funny thing about these people claming to back nigeria up, is that they may not even be using the HiTV. they re using DSTV nd they just want to talk. grin grin grin grin grin
MEN 4 real i hate those HI this and HI that, it really pisses me off.
Lot of people are using  both actually. You just need to downgrade to the DSTV family or compact and that way you can watch the premiereship on Hitv and catch a few good channels plus Champions league with DSTV  and still remain at lower than the amount you would be paying for DSTV full bouquet

I want them to succeed but honestly, the hi things are a joke. Its only himix that is getting better.

Though recently they have run out of movies. Cant count the number of times I have seen a few good men showing in the past three days.

At a point I thought there was a glitch on my own and that I was the only one seeing A few good men so many times in two days.

Anyways, an agent said he has insider news that more content and channels will be on first week of December.

What can I say?

I laughed all through your post on that strange person. She is really strange.

Someone here urges them to go look at my profile and posts. But I guess he believes he is on such a high level intellectualy to warrant him doing that.

All this because someone *dares* to disagree with them. What a shame.

She made a reasonable observation and here you are spitting insults.

She didnt insult you nor any other person but as is usual with a numder of you on this thread, you are shouting insults.

Goodness me! How did we get to this level of name calling and people bashing?!!!

Diversity of opinions is the chief characteristic of a good forum. LC's opinions, well stated and argued as they are, are bound to be contrary to somebody else's. This is no way a contest of superior arguments. For goodness sakes, everyone is right and nobody, wrong. We all just happen to see things from different points of view. People, let Salvage be.
@Spice girl,

Very well said. Thanks for being clear minded.

@ all
I gave myself an asignment by going through Salvage's last posts. At the end, I was so ashamed of myself to have engaged him on intellectual dialogue.

I mean, it's so irritating reading through his inconsequential contributions in all topics. He was always attacking and spewing out bunkum at every opportunity. He is being so pharisaical in all his contributions. The worse part of it is he never initiate any argument- always quoting people and bashing in return. I thinking the best antidote for people of this nature is to ignore them like a plague. Some mother do have them, you know.

To go through his past posts please follow the following steps:

1. Click his name (i.e Salvage) to view his profile
2. On the profile page, scroll to the bottom and click "Show last posts of this person" under Additional Information
3. He has about 7 pages contribution and I bet you 95% of them are bunkum.
Great job at your assignment , now what?

My dear, apologies if that exasperates you. You see, I don’t like to vent unnecesary vituperation on an unworthy cause. But I believe argument should be done objectively. And when you meet a superior one especially from someone in the field, one should gracefully bow. That way you give honour to whom it is due.

By the way, what have you lost by bowing for a dwarf?
@spora,

argueing objectively is looking at things from all angles.

superiour arguement  according to whom?

Do you think there are no high standing lawyers who have contrary opinions to what you guys are saying here.(and i dare say ,can defend it in court)?

Please it is okay. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think we can all air these opinions without resorting to name-calling. This thread go soon reach 100 pages and we'll have 20 pages of insults.  grin  grin  grin
@lawyerchap, the only person I have called something apart from her id is larrybabe.

And thats simply because she appears to be a trashy person that can't contribute without shouting insults.

The other person(I didnt call him anything he isnt) is Kaydee because he displays the same Rassyness(its no dictionary word ) as larrybabe.

I have nothing I have done wrong to correct. I have my opinion and I aired it.

Cant you get it into you head? You were talking about rights before. Dont you know what it really means?

People like you and larrybabe think shouting insults will make you shout down the other person that has a different opinion from yours.

Grow up.

They say opinion is like an asshole, everyones got one.

Or dont u have it?

You should learn to let people have their opinions cause everyone is different.

We all cant be thinking the same way or running the same course at all times.

That your cheerleader stuff is uncalled for. But on a second thought I think you are right! Whether anybody likes it or now, LC is the cheerleader as far as BBA 2 thread on Nairaland is concerned. And he didn't earn this on a platter of gold. He worked for it! While everybody is entitled to his/her opinion, superios argument should be respected. Morality, Objectivity, Reasoning and Law are four different entities. My prayer is that God will give you the patience to wait for your turn Somebody say a big amen to that

Ofunneka Apologises, Claims she was never Raped

Case closed. Abi LC make we go to court on her behalf?  grin grin grin
So you can now see?
I havent posted on this since the *all Knowing* Lawyerchap's response to my post.

I was actually waiting to hear this from her.

No one would see that video and claim she was raped. No matter the law jargon you people want to say here.

It would have embarrased her the more if she had gone to court with such a claim.

A video tells a thousand stories.

Her conduct was bad. Period.

I still maintain like I did a long way back on this topic, that she invited the issue by sleeping in Richiana's bed when there was no scarcity of bed space. And also watching them perform all sorts of sexual acts.

But then, those of us who saw it that way are not lawyers and are not supposed to reason objectively, abi?

lawyerchap:
Good morning people. Hope y'all slept well.

I'm assuming that we can all read. I don't know how many times i need to say this. R a p e is complete the moment penetration is effected without consent. A drunk person is presumed in law to be incapable of giving consent. Richard penetrated Ofunneka while she was drunk. In law, it doesn't matter that Richard was drunk when he committed the crime because there is no mental requirement for r a p e. Richard r a p e d Ofunneka. Period. That is the law. The lawyer in Lawyerchap is not just a name. wink

But the case is not against Richard but against Big Brother who should have intervened to stop the assault when it became obvious that the situation was degenerating beyond safe limits.

My advice is that everyone read Spora's quote above. It's the clearest expression of the situation. Maybe my grammar is too much and gets in the way of communicating the situation clearly. But Spora has said it brilliantly.
You said "Richard R aped Ofunneka. Period" . Then you said but the case is not against Richard but Big Brother.

So what are you talking about? Ofunneka should sue Big brother for R ape or what?

My goodness, you are a lawyer yes but I understand that suits and cases are about superiour arguement. Yse you can claim she was R aped but another lawyer can also disprove that.

Its not if you say so then its so.

The Mnet people also have lawyers and they have looked at that video and assured MNET that their is no case.

No be must say we go accept spora's quote nor try to understand your *grammar*.

TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Egavlas(m): 11:49am On Nov 15, 2007
@ Lawyerchap

Though I hate the fact that Richard won, I must say here that if you saw that video clip/footage of that saturday, you would understand why the women group came to that conclusion.

Offu really messed up. We say she was drunk but Tati was drunk too. Richard put his fingers in Tati's privates as well but she was knocked out and there was no movement from her because she was totally oblivious of it all.

In Offu's case, she was moving with the hand as well as replacing Richard's hand with hers afterwards.

Before it really went that far, Richard was shown with his back to offu and seemingly looking elsewhere while offu reached up and grabbed him pulling him to her.

Its all a mess and she totally messed up.

Its something I hate remembering and it was immediately after that we stopped watching BB cause it was like a slap on our faces.

People calling for a r ape case should just forget it cause if they show that footage, she isnt winning anything.

Tati was drunk as well and if Offu was motionless like her while Richard did that, she would have had a case.

Those women were initially angry and ready to take it up in SA but they were just acting on hearsay. Now they have seen the footage and no doubt feel the same way we feel, sad, disappointed and totally disgusted with the whole Big Brother thing.

It makes me want to recall the reservations one has about her conduct in the house.

Has it occured to you guys that Offu was the only housemate that condonned, and actually encouraged the adultrous relationship? All the others felt there needed to be some bounderies when it comes to marriage and thats why they were voting Richard to leave when the affair was getting too much.

This is just totally too much . Enough of the Big brother show . People should be more creative and get some better shows on TV.

You made me go to that website and I didnt see any Latest News about Nigeria threatning to pull out of BBA3.

Apollogies accepted.

Besides People have other things to do and are getting on with their lives. No one will lose sleep on your Richiana.

I replied your post cause it wasnt a good one and I wanted to let you know the folly of it.

Most people here are tired of the BB and Richiana and Offu story and are actually seeking better , fullfiling things to discuss.

You talk about the party that is being planned and you will get some response.

The comments about all the BB nonsense that will draw a response from me would be something like what you posted and my response would be for obvious reasons.

Please don't patronise us. We are  Naijas and owe no one no apologies.

Cause that seems to me as the beginning and end thing he did in the house. Humiliate his wife.
