uote author=saintandsinnerz post=30255406]Nigerians and their poor sense of history! Do you folks here shouting sai buhari really believe elections are won in Nigeria based on some opinion polls and online popularity of candidates? If you believe so, then I'm sorry for you because you have failed to understand how elections are conducted here. In 2007, Nigerians were really tired of PDP govt. Led by obasanjo because of massive corruption and plundering of our national treasures. People were ready and determined (just as now to vote out pdp) But what happened after the election? The same "evil" pdp won the election. Do you know why? It is just because it is difficult to oust an incumbent govt that virtually controls all the state resources and institutions of power. With massive resources at their care, it becomes almost impossible to defeat them. One of the reasons it is difficult to beat an incumbent in Nigeria is because of the electoral law. The Nigeria electoral law is a sham. It was purposely drafted to perpetuate the ruling party in power. And until the provisions that make the sitting president to contest while still in power is expunged, elections in Nigeria (especially at the presidential level) will remain a mere formality. The party in power will always win it! Don't be deceived with the noise you are hearing among the opposition parties, they will not win the election. They will as usual ask you to defend your vote after voting, but how will you defend the votes in your area which is probably in an urban setting, what of the millions of votes in those remote areas where poverty is the second name of the inhabitants? That is where the real action takes place. In those places, people sell their votes for as low as 200 to 500 naira as the case maybe. Now this is where the manipulations take place. Some opposition party agents even partake in these manipulations because they have been settled "handsomely by the ruling party who always has an endless resources to perpetuate this subversion. So to all of you who are having wet dreams about a mere opinion poll or online popularity of some candidates, I say to you, "you are building your castles in the air. If you believe that PDP will handover power to APC or any other opposition party come may 29, 2015, then you can believe anything![/quote]

BERNIMOORE:
MY personanal analysis of Gen Buhari's result as released by premium Times,

Note; i do not represent PDP or work for them, i support them to the extent that i see jonathan as a humble man who says something that people are not taking seriously but is part of the solution to curruption, he says...''The use of modern technologies is a powerful tool to fight corruption'' note that i also aknowledge that these technonogies also has its own demerits of being used to promote curruption.

As the controversy rages on, i invited some of my colleages one of them was a 'forensic Analyst who specialises in detecting forged documents, he circles grey areas on the result document and ask for time, on my own part too i take a carefull look at the enlarged format, to crosscheck those circled areas

Hours later, my friend(name witheld) who was the analyst suggests in his analysis that the document was forged, he used extra softwares on his 'mark' laptop to expose a hidden copy of a document that was carefully embeded in on another document.

if Buhari will be seen as the right man to prosecute criminals that forge bank documents or any other document, he 'Buhari should come out with cleaan hands

My friend who is the Forensic analyst cites 18 good manipulations on Buhari's alleged result released to Prem.Times mag. which i dont really have the time to copy here. he said that he can prove beyond reasonable doubt that it was a forgery ''FREE OF CHARGE' in a court of law.

note; mere microsoft office picture manager, paint or opera cannot expose the whole details, you need a more higher versions with more mega-pixels

but to cut the story short, i summarised briefly some points below, here it is (note; you need to zoom the images below for full understanding)

1. imposition of one document on another (sample 1 and sample 2) (pupple and pink color only for illustration pls note its ours)
2. yellow lines 'D' in (sample 3) are Added lines to cover-up traces of imposition of specimen (H1) and column lines where names (specimen H1) are printed do not align with the blank columns (note; rectangular tiny line was only for illustration and nor part of doc)
3. sample 4, more on column lines where names (specimen H1) are printed do not align [/b] with the blank columns (note, yellow highlighted lines was introduced only (as an) illustration and 'not part of doc' )

On the part of fani Kayod. U don't need to wait for Buhari to ans this question cos ure part of people that spoil this country. If u av conscience u wil nt be part of the kind of politics ure playing now a young man of age shud busy to mak to mak ur country great but ure part of stomach infrastructure agenda. I wish to be at shiloh when the man of God pray for dis country and curse whoever mak dis country hard for us. Fani u shud be ashame of ursef and park well. Most of u at Sw which at PDP that ure loyal to GEJ u wil loose at end unless if u mean well for Nigeria. Obanikoro lost omisore lost and those ar ur partner in crime. U beta change before arrow of God hit u. ermit me to share just one example of the expression of that soft spot in this contribution. On June 3, 2013, Thisday Newspaper’s lead story carried the following headline: ‘’The military offensive against Boko Haram is anti-North – General Muhammadu Buhari’.The story ran as follows:

‘’Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has criticised the declaration of state of emergency in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States and the subsequent military offensive against the Boko Haram Islamic sect. Buhari, who featured on the “Guest of the Week,” a Hausa programme of the Kaduna-based Liberty Radio, yesterday, said the Federal Government’s action was a gross injustice against the North. According to him, unlike the special treatment the Federal Government gave to the Niger Delta militants, the Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished. He said he was not in support of the declaration of state of emergency in the three north-eastern states because President Goodluck Jonathan had failed from the outset in addressing the security situation in the country’’.
The implications of these comments, coming from a former Head of State, are obvious and self-evident.

Yet that same General Buhari who said these unacceptable things one year ago is now busy pontificating about his concerns for our nation. Many would argue that, that is pretty rich coming from him given his past comments about a ruthless group of terrorists who, more than any other, merit the award for the greatest ‘’troublers of our nation’’. Given this, I regard Buhari’s comments to The Nation Newspaper on July 22, 2014 as nothing but self-serving.

Of particular interest to me were the following words:

‘’Never before have I seen a Nigerian President declare war on his own country as we are seeing now’’. Really? Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that the war that President Goodluck Jonathan has declared was against terrorism and Boko Haram and not against the Nigerian people.

Questions begging for answers

Does General Buhari find it difficult to make a distinction between the jihadists and the Nigerian people?

Does he see them as being one and the same? Does he actually equate members of Jama’at ahl as-sunnah li-d-da’wa wa-l-jihad with the Nigerian people? Does he regard the military offensive against Boko Haram as being an offensive against OUR people?

Does he honestly believe that anytime thata Boko Haram terrorist is killed by our armed forces and security agencies or that his house is blown up, it is an attack on the Nigerian people or an assault on the North? Are those people that Boko Haram slaughtering, terrorising, abducting, pillaging, robbing and raping on a daily basis all over our country not the real Nigerians?

Does he honestly believe that Boko Haram is representative of the thinking of our people or even the majority of the people in the Muslim North? Is he still insisting on having another Muslim as his running mate in order to establish his strange dream of a Muslim/Muslim President and Vice President for our country or has he shelved that idea due to public resentment and outrage?

Does he have any empathy with the Christian community in northern Nigeria for the immense suffering, degradation, humiliation, contempt, shame, indignity, persecution and mass murder that they have been subjected to inthe North for the last 53 years and particularly in the last few years?

Does he still believe that ‘’Christians should not worry when Muslims chop off their own arms and hands in the name of Sharia because it is none of their business’’ as he said in 2001?

Does he still believe that Boko Haram members should be forgiven, granted amnesty, pampered, sent abroad to learn and given monthly allowances like the Niger Delta militants like he suggested in 2013?

If the truth must be told, the only thing thatis worse than Boko Haram are those in the Nigerian political class that secretly support and covertly assist them.

*Fani-Kayode was Minister of Aviation under the Obasanjo administration.

As the the Lord dwell u shall see them healthy and alive may God that show himself in shiloh shall shall perfect it for u.
LilNetty:
A 40 year old identified as Matthew Zira, (pictured below) says he's searching for his wife and seven children after members of Boko haram invaded their village in Michika LGA of Adamawa state on September 7th. A distraught Matthew narrated his ordeal to The Nation. Read what he said below..
My name is Matthew Zira. I am from Vi village in Minchika Local Government Area, Adamawa State. I was living comfortably with my family until that fateful Friday.

Before that day, there had been rumours that Boko Haram would attack the village, but no one knew when they would come. So on that day, as usual, I went out of the house to look for my daily bread. I ride commercial motorcycle in the village, I am also a farmer, and did the commercial motorcycle work when farm work was over.

So, I left home as early as 6 am on the 7th of September 2014 on my motorcycle to commence the business of the day. But at about noon, I started hearing gunshots and everyone said Boko Haram had arrived town. I immediately rushed back home to go and evacuate my family, but before I got home, they had fled along with other villagers to an unknown destination.

I went round town looking for them but could not find them. I went to the police station, hospitals and everywhere but could not find them. Before the evening of that day, Boko Haram had already taken over the entire village completely. I was advised not to go back home because all the houses in the village had been razed by Boko Haram.I fled to Minchika to continue the search for my children. Later, we had to flee to Yola when we heard that Boko Haram would attack Minchika. I spent one month in Yola searching everywhere for my children but I could not find them. Those of us who escaped from Vi village and other surrounding villages were camped at the NYSC camp in Yola. I thought of meeting my children there in the camp but they were not there.I had to come to Jos because I was told that thousands of Adamawa people ran to Jos. But I have searched all the IDP camps in Jos since the 5th of November when I arrived, I can’t still find them.

There is even no iota of information about where I could find them. “Others who lost their families during the rush to escape have found their people, but in my own case, I’m still searching in vain. It is only God that will reveal to me what happened to my family. So, I am only looking up to God now because I have done all that is humanly possible.

I am really in trauma; at night I can’t sleep, I keep thinking of my children. At times, if I am eating and the thought of the whereabouts of my children came to my mind, I will not be able to eat any longer, from that moment I will lose appetite.I am pleading with any Nigerian who knows where I can locate my children to contact me on my phone – 07037728905.

My wife’s name is Tinana Mathew. My seven children are Rita, Ziramatu, Tumbamatu, Kwata, Racheal and one-yearold Doris. Please, I am eagerly waiting for any information on their whereabouts.” he said

kurt09:
Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan, on Thursday said neither he nor any governor in the country can claim the credit for winning the war against Ebola.
Rivers and Lagos are the two Nigerian states hit by the Ebola outbreak.
The federal government said the two states are now free of the deadly virus.
According to Mr. Jonathan, the government could not have succeeded in ridding the country of Ebola virus without the cooperation of the Nigerian masses.
The President said these at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, during the launch of Elumelu Nigeria Empowerment Fund, ENEF, to support victims of terrorism in the country’s North-east zone.
He used the occasion to thank Nigerians for buying into the Ebola campaign, saying that no government could have performed magic to rid the county of the deadly virus without the peoples’ support.
Mr. Jonathan, however, commended Nigerians for following the health guidelines set out by government, some of which was a departure from the norm.
He said, “When government said we must be mindful of gatherings, of handshakes and that we should not move corpse unnecessarily,” Nigerians heeded the advice.
He noted that even churches that he thought would resist the directive by still using a single cup to serve the Holy Communion to its members suspended the practice during the Ebola war.
Continuing, he said, “Nigerians became mindful. Friends stopped embracing themselves saying until we get out of Ebola.
“So it (Ebola campaign) had the buy-in of the populace and that is why we succeeded so fast otherwise we couldn’t have.
“There is no magic government could have used to solve that problem. No President or state governor will claim any credit. The credit should go to the ordinary Nigerians for the cooperation and their buy-in,” Mr. Jonathan said.
By his comment, the President appears to be reacting to remarks by top members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, including Governors Babatunde Fasola of Lagos State and Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, who have said the Federal Government did very little to contend the deadly virus and should therefore not claim credit for winning the war.
While speaking at the formal declaration of a former Head of State, Muhamadu Buhari, for the APC’s presidential ticket at the Eagle Square, Abuja, on Wednesday, Mr. Amaechi, said Nigeria’s flaunted success in the fight against Ebola is a fallacy.
He insisted that the Rivers State Government spent a whopping N1.4billion to stop the outbreak of the disease.
He faulted claims by Mr. Jonathan’s ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that the Federal Government successfully contained the outbreak.
He said, “I hear PDP and Mr. President claiming the glory of having fought Ebola. I asked one simple question: Rivers state government spent 1,406 billion to fight Ebola, the Federal Government brought N200m just last week. If we were waiting for that N200m, Ebola would have spread round Rivers State,” he said.
He said his colleague, Mr.Fashola, was also “fully in charge of the Ebola drive in his state”.
Further deriding the Federal Government, Mr. Amaechi said “Apart from announcing the number of patients, what did the Federal Government do for us? So, why did they politicise Ebola.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Jonathan said the Federal Government has made a donation of N250 million to the ENEF, saying that the government will continue ‎its sustained security operations to eliminate insurgency and restore law and order in the country.
Mr. Jonathan noted that the prolonged case of insurgency in the zone has led to the displacement of the population, destruction of infrastructure and the collapse of the economy in the area.
The rehabilitation of communities affected by the crisis, the President said, would require not only government’s intervention but also that of the private sector.
“I have realized over time that government alone cannot solve human problems. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/169630-no-governor-can-take-credit-for-wining-ebola-war-jonathan.html

I got what i went there for and on the way out, I stopped at traffic light at the junction close to NEXT gate (those in Abuja would know the one). While i was waiting for the traffic to pass us into the expressway, I saw a new Toyota Yaris behind me via my interior rearview mirror, waiting for the traffic light to give us go ahead into the expressway as well. The green light eventually came. Fortunately, I was in a mood for some fun. So i pushed the throttle pedal down hard, while i shift the stick in seconds. Well you know what will be the rest. Ikenna. U make a point about your car but u should undtsd as well that ur car u talkin abt ar also dangerous to be at top at bend or corner.most nigerian bot car with the way they market it for them.if ure real about ur post u should at least mention one of the german car.the german car ar car that really good and has the stability on any speed. So u too shud becareful sometime about how speed when drive. U can neva compare benz bmw audi with that ur car.those car I mention might be old model or new model but they hav good stability. Chop up bros

Unfortunately, I didn't know the way and manner my SV D9 stick left the Toyota yaris behind when the traffic light passed us, got the driver in the Yaris upset. Probably, to prove a point to the passenger seating in the car, which i saw in my mirror then, the yaris man gave me a chase or whatever you may call it. Because while i was catching my fun behind the wheel with the matching stick, i saw a Black Toyota Yaris behind me, seriously struggling to get close and overtake. Looking again on the mirror proved that it was the same Yaris I left behind and have forgotten all about it. Hmm! "Wahala dey o!", i muttered while i shaked my head.

Now, the option left for me to help the yaris was to slow down to let him overtake him, to please him. Or, to leave him behind again. Well, i couldnt sacrificed the fun i was having to please some yaris guy. So I chose the 2nd option. What did i do then? I shifted the stick down to the 4th gear and push the throttle very hard. By the time i shifted it up to the 5th gear again, i checked the rearview mirror and i saw something far far away that look like stationary object. But the black colour of the object made me realise it was the same Yaris. I shaked my head again, and continued with my fun.

I got to the bridge that leads to Garki II (Aminu Kano Crescent), so I slowed down to divert, climbed down and enter the expressway that lead to Area 1 roundabout. Those that know that road would understand how sharp the bend is, which one must slow down. But all of sudden, while in the bend, I saw that same Yaris again, forging towards behind on high speed. I became scared, thinking it would lose control, spin and crashed or hit my car. This guy in this car continued on the same speed and entered the bend just to overtake a "Peugeot 406" he though disgraced him. To be very honest, I thought this car would turn over when he speed past me in that bend. It was a miracle that he survived it.

I started wondering, "What could make one be so foolish behind the wheel to drive in that manner?" So of all the car he has seen, he chose to prove to a Peugeot 406 how powerful his brand new Toyota Yaris is? Seriously? Of course, i gave him the benefit of the doubt that he didnt see the two "V6" badges stamped on the 2 front fenders of my Lion. But did he actually think that even his "new" Yaris can stand a N/A I4 Peugeot 406 on the highway, if they were to race?

Now my question is, what do Nigerians actually look for in a car when they are hunting for one to buy? Ask an average Nigerian, he would tell you " Car na Car". So for that, V6 or performance cars should be avoided, since even a car with 50 hp will behave the same way a 150 hp car would do. You want a green car, yet you expect it to give you behind the wheels what those cars you call "gas guzzlers" give those that drive them?

I may sound mean here, but if that Yaris had lost control in that bend and somersaulted, I wouldnt have stopped to even peep how it ended up. We all gonna leave this World. But how you decide to leave (God's making or your own making) its upto to you. What he did was pure suicidal, luckily, he survived it.

Now lets check out the two cars powertrain involved.

1. Toyota Yaris, 2005 - till present.
Because I do not know the exact engine in the car, a little study i carried out showed that the Yaris of that generation has 3 engines:

*1kR-FE: 1.0 L, 71 hp, 53 kilowatts.
*2NZ-FE/2SZ-FE: 1.3 L, 84 hp, 63 KW.
*1NZ-FE: 109 hp, 81 kW.

2. Peugeot 406 V6, 2000 model.

*ES9J4S: 3.0 L, 210 hp, 152 KW.

Now the man wants to prove a point with the above figures to who?

When one is looking for a car to buy, he/she needs to ask himself what he needs the car for; the purpose the car is coming in to serve. A city car is designed for that purpose and nothing more. Even when you drive it on highway, you should use or drive it as designed for. If you are after a highway or speed vehicle or fun car, then find and get one designed for it. For example, most V6 cars or turbocharged I4s are installed special ssuspensions to handle the speed they are designed for and make the handling better on high speed. Most V6 or performance cars are fiited Electronic Stability program (ESP) and other similar speed related programs. For example, my former Peugeot 605 V6 was fitted electronic dampers on the 4 wheels, such that once the speed exceed 80 km/h or so, the dampers would suddenly drop the car closer to ground and the handling will become something else. But as soon as the speed start reduceing, the dampers would raise the car up again. Even the turbocharged 605 didnt get that suspension, except the V6. Do I miss that car? Yes, everyday!

If you want to be doing some '007 stuffs behind the wheel, look for a car that is designed to safely give you that. But if you are so much after mpg, then swallow it and look the other way when some beast speed past you as if you were stationary. Because, you cant eat your Cake and have it. You gain some, you lose some. You gain mpg, you lose performance.

Ikenna.

Mekusnwa: The hand writing is clear that PDP will win 2015 elections massively.
Anybody still dreaming about a PDP exit in 2015 is a clown.

Just last week, elections were held in FCT and PDP cleared all five councils and left one for ANPP.
That victory was significant in Many respects. It was a reasonably free and fair election.
It also came at the heels of so much noise by the opposition about APC.
FCT is also a centre of unity representing every ethnic group.
For PDP to have swept the polls in metropolitan areas shows how much strength they have n the country.
. you really mis ur point with situation on ground now pdp can't win any election. you can't use fct election judge ur point its important for pdp to win at fct witout any wahala base on their domain.

When will you guys learn that, pounding away on your keyboards does not have any political value.I was so amused by the naive political submissions of the large crowd of politically-uninformed and even apolitical(as a lot of them either had no voters card or have never ever gone out to cast their vote, some even consider themselves too big to go out and queue up in the sun to cast their votes or most of them reside outside Nigeria and cannot vote)nairalanders that making so much noise online HAS NEVER,and WILL NEVER amount to a single vote

It's a shame that the opposition has chosen to play to the gallery(by making noise on the pages of newspapers,on the internet) to get public applause and leave the very basic and serious work of politicking to the PDP to do,little wonder they even forgot to go and register a name they intended to use for their merger, now THEY HAVE LOST THAT NAME FOREVER. grin grin grin

I've said we will dig more political trenches and fight from there,as we know what's at stake.I'm happy with the NWC and the NEC of the PDP as each school of opinion/thought within the party has made its points/grievances known and there are serious moves to assuage frayed nerves and to sort things out amicably,an exercise that will hardly be shouted about in public.

Congratulations to the FCT chapter of the PDP for a job very well done
. I believ ur comment represent the kind of person you are. you quote abt ur self interest nt concern about ur future. This is forum you shud be have strict and verify point. you only defend ur means of livehood.
