kaeto: This is totally uncalled for please.
My dear, seems you do not know beaf very well (he is the sycophantic vessel of PDP/Jonathan). So imagine someone like him asking you to go and protest. Why can't he go out and protest criminality in this regime?

Is he an immigrant? Or an Eskimo? grin

Alusi Okija: The Occupy Nigeria Protest was a protest in support of corruption.

This one is a rally for the removal of immunity, its different and benefits the nation.
Alusi my dear, here is the issue on Fuel Subsidy removal

- Government Intended to subsidize fuel imported back into Nigeria because our refineries are not refining enough (good policy since we produce and bad because we could fix ours and take care of that one)
- Government officials and other stakeholders over the years started using it as an avenue to steal money, inflate none existing quantities, etc.
- When Jonathan saw the corruption, instead of prosecuting the corrupt individuals, he said transfer the sum stolen from government to the people. (So that government will not pay subsidy and save money while the stake holders maintain the rate of profit they steal - Win-Win abi? Any the people will come out as losers - We said NO)

But surprisingly, you and Beaf like some others here believed it is right to transfer this burden to the people. Kanda called us name. He mock and laughed - he is shamelessly calling for protest. We will join him, but let him start one.
Politics › Re: Govs Move Against Planned Removal Of Immunity Clause by egift(m): 3:50pm On May 09, 2012
Beaf why are you not hitting the road to protest already? Who are you waiting for to lead you? Organize a protest. Are you IMMUNE to going out and protest bad government policies?
Politics › Re: Govs Move Against Planned Removal Of Immunity Clause by egift(m): 3:15pm On May 09, 2012
Beaf: You love the immunity clause and the impunity and corruption it creates in elected officials, not so?
I see that you are too childish to comment on the thread. Attempting to reason with your negative type is a waste of time.
Kanda, I do not like the immunity clause. One of the reason I supported Buhari is that apart of strengthening regional integration, the removal of the clause was one of his main proposal.

I will welcome any effort to remove it, but it seems you are forgetting in a hurry how you bad-mouthed us when millions of us hit the street to protest the removal of subsidy.

Soon if we go out to protest, you will not. Only to be on NL insulting everyone (does Bakare and Soyinka ring a bell in your mind - despite their efforts, you still despise and mock them as if they stole from you). Beaf you are in no position to call for protest, you my friend are a PDP Tool.
Politics › Re: Govs Move Against Planned Removal Of Immunity Clause by egift(m): 2:48pm On May 09, 2012
Beaf: That clause needs to be removed.
If only Nigerians would go out on the streets to demonstrate for things like this! embarassed
Rather, the average person would feel that it doesn't affect their pocket (which is an incredibly daft position to arrive at).
^Uncooked Kpomo, why have you not hit the street to protest? Are an Eskimo? Ok, you are among those that tear-gas those that will protest. I see

Politics › Re: Pls I Need A Fast Reply Of How To Deliver My Letter To My State Governor. by egift(m): 8:06pm On May 07, 2012
^Governor's Body shocked You wan kill am?

@Topic:
I will recommend you try some of these options:
- Walk straight to the Governor's office and table your request to whoever the cared to attend to you (security may be very tight before getting there)
- You can also look for one pot-belle thief chief that have dealings, personal relationship or contact with your governor (he may want something in return; ego-boosting or money - like owning what you are offering and you become his boy)
- You can package yourself, get your latter and block your Governor anywhere (this is dangerous - you will have just few seconds to explain yourself OR an overzealous security officer will create hole on your forehead with bullets. If it goes wrong here, the best you can get is to be beating Black and Blue)

You need to know when the Governor is in town. Many of them are not always there. Your biggest problem is not to reach the governor, but to make it pass the PA. Also don't be in a hurry, its mostly an analogue process (security and bureaucracy reasons).

NOTE:
If you are going to beg, forget. Wait for election time.
If its a proposal, make sure its tight, don't be greedy but don't over sell it so that they will not hijack it.
If you are going there to protest or complain, you are better of staying far away from government house (try Nairaland, Twitter and FB) grin

How do you explain the facts that Boko haram called AIT and threatened to Bomb Lagos at the wake of preparations by civil society groups to protest the implementation of the subsidy probe in Lagos?

How do you explain that a call cannot be traced to the caller in this era of technology?

How do you explain that our president came to deny the finding by the Security Chief (AZAZI) that Boko haram is a result of the power game in PDP?

Politics › Boko Haram - The Camouflage by egift(op):
With all the events and destruction of this criminal organization, one may start considering they are tools, or a form of setup the Government. Before you start the name-calling, do consider these the following:

- None of the Northern Governors are acting as if there is a problem (a big one at that).
- Jonathan: "Boko Haram is in my Government", "We know the sponsors Boko Haram" (yet none has been arrested).
- Azazi: "PDP is Boko Haram, Boko Haram"
- In all these bombing and killing, no government properties have been touched. Not even a politician's!
- Only innocent Nigerians are victim, irrespective of ethnicity (for those who may disagree here, more Northerners have been casualties to Boko Haram attacks).
- Boko Haram mostly attack when people want to protest the anti-people policies of Government. Except that of January (because even those in
- No PDP or political rally have ever been disrupted by these criminals.
- Only helpless little boys are arrested by Government, and they want us to believe their are big sponsors.

Obviously, Boko Haram may be a covert arm/department of Government to instill fear and extract sympathy for government. Do you agree?

Garba Audu: Hmmm. There is no need for this poll. There's one thing you can never take away from GEJ; His calmness. No matter the pressure, no matter the tension, no matter the boiling point or volatility, he always remain mute with his smiling face. Remember the Azazi outburst, GEJ says "boko revolt is not a problem of PDP, it is a problem of everybody in Nigeria. Those who called for dialogue are right, those who said there should never be dialogue are also right!" ...aahh! Oni luck o!

I have never see a government as weak as this. Even to mention name na trouble. How can they now prosecute them afterwards - Oh I know this game:

"We will release name of sponsors" say FG - hoping that out of fear, they will either stop or announce themselves. And YES, Jonathan knows the sponsors.

Politics › With His Current Situation, Do You Pity President Jonathan? by egift(op): 10:33pm On May 05, 2012
With the current situation President Jonathan has found himself, which of these three positions do you feel for him?

I Really Feel For Him: because,
- PDP is against him
- Politicians are against him
- His job is tough and difficult
- Nigerians don't love him that much
- Pressure everywhere he turns
- Expectation is too high, everyone wants result NOW, while it took generations to create

I Don't Pity Him At All
- Na me send am to be President
- His wife is cooking 1.3b naira daily while many Nigerians suffering
- He is protecting looters
- His hands may not be clean too
- He is the gang leader, they are just having misunderstanding on sharing the National cake
- Those guys are their thugs (now out of control)
- His policies are anti-people, pro-elites

Am Not Interested (Indifferent)
- My opinion does not matter or have any value

Politics › Re: How Would You Solve The Boko Haram Crisis? by egift(m): 8:52am On May 03, 2012
Poster I hate it whenever you open a thread like this. If you need my solution, just approve my 1.3 billion naira daily food, Presidential salary, 8 presidential jets, that multi-covoy, presidential clearance, accommodation in the president's lodge, all the hundreds of aids, unlimited withdrawal limit of Presido's wallet, name me commander in chief of the armed forces, etc.

What you will:
- End of Boko, Militancy, kidnapping and Robbery (it will be easier to rob the US Treasury than try it here).
- Massive Development, Infrastructure, empowerment and reformation of our agencies, ministries, etc.
- By the time I order the arrests and trial of 1000 politicians who steal from government purse with maximum punishment, nobody will try it. Anytime the do, the get instant punishment.
- Provide Light, Water, shelter and security as fast as obtainable.

So any time you ask this question for ideas, be ready to pay for it, or sack the incompetence presently occupying the post.

buty: The bottom line still remains that there was speech made by Mr. President, so I dnt understand  fake rumour. I jst want dis boko pple τ̅☺ make A̷̷̴̐͠ mistake and bomb any part of  east then, that will be the end of boko haram.
Na lie. That will never end Boko Haram. That can only achieve two things:
1. More groups like Boko Haram from other zones
2. More killing of innocent Nigerians from every zone.

Will the nation split? No. Because the politicians will use State force to hold it together. But things will definite change; our leaders more corrupt, more enemity, more yeye history, etc.

The only solution is to have leaders who are doing what is right for the general interest of the nation - If the ones we have now are not capable sack them (or vote them out). Any other thing is a day dreaming and destruction.
