Congrats, when did u send ur passport?

Did u use dhl or vfs

Posted PP Friday, they received it Monday, MyCIC account updated to "Approved" on Tuesday, PP sent back on Wednesday & courier delivered to my house address today. The caveat is that I submitted from outside Nigeria ...so I guess that's why it was mega fast.

Final Status Update.

Hi e-Fam – I received my PP today with the Canadian stamp on it & all associated travel documents enclosed. It’s just beginning to sink in, lol cheesy

I know I’m expected to ‘graduate” to our senior thread on Nairaland i.e. “Living in Canada” ….so with time, I’ll gradually wean myself off this thread.

Thank God for the months gone by...and thanks to y’all for your help + contributions.

Gracias.

Hello House,

Please, do I need to send my transcript again to WES if I want to upgrade from ECA report to Course-by-course report? I need this for professional licensing as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.

Thanks

Hi - You don't need to send transcripts and certs to WES. WES course by course evaluation will take care of this. You will have to request for an upgrade of your evaluation with WES and ask that the ECA be sent directly to the governing body related to your profession. A copy will be sent to you as well.

All the best!

We have similar timelines. My AOR is May 26, meds passed July 1 and i've been on NA2 since July 5. Have you tried to contact them?

Don't worry we are many.... undecided

ITABABE and Wura27 - There's no need to be agitated (hard as that is). The norm is that from NA to IP2 is approximately 3-5weeks. Just calm down bros/sis. It will end in Praise.

Good day All,

Congrats to those who have gotten their PPR. I wish you God's favor in Canada.

I have been a silent reader for some months. I have gotten my confidence to interact more with people on the forum. I have a question that i need answers to as i have been bothered by it.

I want to start my ECA. I have a BSc degree from a Nigerian university and another BSc from a school in the UK. I did the Uk study while in Nigeria and didn't travel down to the UK university at all. I intend to assess both degrees as two or more certificates, but a friend told me not to assess the international degree because i will be asked to get police report from the UK, if i include/assess the foreign certificate when i eventually get my ITA. How true is this? If true, how do i overcome this issue? Has anyone experienced this in the past?

Please i need your candid advice as i do not want to make any mistake when processing my application.

Thank you as you help me out.

I found this on the CIC website. It's worth taking note of....

Applicants are instructed to indicate that their education was completed by correspondence by typing in brackets {by correspondence} on the same line as the education institution name found in the Education Background Information tab of GCMS. The discretion remains with the officer to decide if a police certificate is required for the country of the education institution

Good morning gurus in the house,

Just a quick question. Is it possible for one's application to be mixed up with another person's application?

I submitted my application on May 22 with all attached documents. On June 29, I got a request for more information about a period which was clearly in my submitted application and was in my employer's reference that I was working during that period. So I was skeptical. I filled the form and submitted.
Fast forward to July 24, they requested for military records (which I am sure was not in my application). When I looked at the letter closely, I noticed that in the part they asked for military records, they quoted another express entry application number which is not mine. In the same letter they said fill the attached form. I did not see any attached form to fill.
Some 6 minutes after the mail for request for more information, they sent a request for me to pay the RPRF fee (CAD490)...
So, I ask again could it be that my application has been mixed up with another person's application?

What do I do?

I will explain this to CIC in an LOE. The same way you have explained it to us. They are the only ones that can shed light on this puzzling matter. Don't worry much about it (as hard as that is though)

All the best!

Wow... Congrats to all those who recently received PPR mails.... Quite fast!! Hopefully we'll all meet in canada in Jesus name.
CIC is giving those of us whose application has been transferred to London a long terrible wait, appears London visa office is very slow.
Below is my time line ;
AOR:February 21ST FSW-O Applicant
Medical passed : April 8th
Background check :NA April 26th till date (155 days post ITA)

Sent a mail to CIC last month was told my file was on queue awaiting review by an agent. Ordered GCMS notes this month, expecting to get it middle of next month.
Its a long wait,Pre ITA and post ITA but I pray this will end in praise to God for all...

Also pray all naija files go to Ghana or other places where they are quickly processed....AMEN!!

It is indeed a long wait, but don't worry about it. My IP2 to PPR was 14 days...when most Naija files move from IP2 to PPR in 4-7days.

Drink from the well of patience...the finish line is in view.

Can someone please help with my question above?

Hi - I would add the one year you completed at that school. So 1+X where X is the number of years you completed at the new school. smiley

I'll rather say it as it is, so when asked in my sleep, I can say the same thing. Also, just imagine they ask for another Schedule A (God forbid) and ask you what you did between 2002 and 2003...? It will be easy for you to say you were at the "old" school ...

This is my advise - others can chip in.

Congrats to all those who have gotten PPR and God speed for the rest of us who are awaiting. God will favour us all.

This may sound funny but would ask anyway.

My IELTS result of August 2016 is L 7.5, R 6.0, W 7.0, S 7.0. I want to contact British Council for a remark of my listening and reading, do you guys think its possible? Has anyone does this before.

Thanks

Hi - The request for a remark must be made within six weeks of the date shown on your Test Report Form (TRF). If you are out of date (which is clearly the case now), you cannot ask for a remark.

Gurus help please. I just got an additional document request for my spouse (I am the primary applicant). Please see the snapshot below:

What exactly are they asking for? Here is my confusion:

1. The header says "Proof of travel history" : I interprete this to mean the marked pages on intl passports but these were uploaded before submission. Though, her first (old and expired sef) passport that had one of her travel history to one country got lost a while ago and an LOE was attached to the application stating this and the police report and affidavit were scanned and uploaded.

2. There is a link to form IMM5562E as shown in the snapshot shared. When I opened it, it is supplementary travel history form and I filled all these for wife in the eAPR application before submitting. I dont have problem filling it again but I dont think this is a Proof as clearly written on the letters header

Please advice. Should I just fill the form and send or I should still add the scanned passport pages that are marked (including the affidavit that i earlier attached with the eAPR application before submitting in the first place?

AOR July13.

Hi - if I were you, I would fill out the IMM5562E AND also add the PROOF (i.e. scanned passport pages that are marked + affidavit + LOE). Merge all as a single PDF and send it.

That's what I would do.

Oh wow! This is indeed great news - left, right, center. God be praised.

Congratulations - Beckyhopeful, MummyJaygirls, lavivaavril, Blaizetony. Y'all must be over the moon - please don't stay there o...come down and submit your passports.

Also, congrats to deeore - your progress is amazing! Indeed God granted you speed for the lost months Re: creating a new profile and all. Congrats again. Your story is exemplary.

So, just to debunk a few myths I have read here (1) If you get Schedule A request (not once but twice) and you have never been refused a visa to any country before, it's absolutely fine. Don't be alarmed - it's just part of their spontaneous checks (maybe). I know someone (on this thread) that got 2xSchedule A....she had never been refused a visa to ANY country before. She was petrified - but today nko, she's celebrating her PPR. She got PPR yesterday. (2) Gift Deed - I know someone (still on this thread) that used gift deed. Today, she also got her PPR letter - 80 days post AOR. So, gift deed doesn't mean your application will be delayed or refused. It is a PoF and as long as you provide what is required you will be fine. (3) Run from agents. You are just a number to them - the only relationship they have is with your pocket, lol. . No one can fill your forms better and tidier than YOU. A lot of people I know got PPRs by doing it themselves. I am also a testimony to that.

To All our new PPR recipients please the finish line is in view...ensure you tidy up your documents, you cannot afford any mistakes now. Don't be like me that wore a cream blazer to the studio to take my photos. When the photo came out, there was no difference between my blazer and the background. My shoulders were 'invisible'. Had to go back to the studio the next day to retake another. So, these little things do matter. grin

My two cents!

Please gurus in the house,

I just received a request letter from CIC with the following content:

We have begun processing your application for permanent residence, and in order to make a decision we require the following information/documents:
1XXXXXXXX0 - My Name:
MILITARY RECORDS -EXXXXXXXX0
Military Records: You have identified previous service in the military. Please complete the attached form and provide a copy of your military booklet. If you were exempt, please provide official proof of military exemption from the relevant authority. This must be received at this office by:
This must be received at this office by: 2017/07/31

Don't really understand what they mean. And there is no attached document to fill.
Are they referring to my NYSC (maybe I mistakenly put it as military service)? And would my NYSC certificate fly?

Thanks

Oh wow! Is this a mistake from your end...? Can an LOE suffice...? I'm really struggling to think of the explanation you can give for this 'mistake'.

Seniors over to you.

Hello house, for U.K. Pcc do we need to upload the cover letter and certificate or just certificate

I uploaded just the certificate. Reasons are (1) the cover letter was addressed to me and not CIC...so it's my property, lol (2) the certificate alone is a complete document as it says page 1/1....meaning nothing missing.

This is what I did...it's just a suggestion. I dint think there's any harm in submitting both pages though, so you can opt for that to rest your mind.

Absolutely correct. That's what I did...On my desktop, I saved the soft copy the studio sent me and uploaded that into my eApr.

Hello guys, I want to ask question on the digital photo to be uploaded. I read somewhere that name and date of birth should be written at the back, then it should have official stamp of the photo studio. Please can someone confirm if this is only applicable to the hardcopy to be submitted before PPR or if the front and back of the passport should be scanned and uploaded as pdf.

Hi - you upload an electronic copy (front only) when you are submitting your eApr (this is post ITA). Ensure this is to specification.

When you get the PPR letter and you are ready to submit your passport, you are required to send in two hard copies of your passport photograph. At the back of one of the photographs, you are required to provide the details of the photography studio (and yours) + date....stamped or handwritten behind the passport photograph.

I hope this clarifies things...

PPR notification is an email....the email is the type you get from donotreply@cic...when you get this, log into your CIC account and view your messages. You will see the letter there in PDF with instructions on what to do.

Good day guys your PM is back grin grin
Abeg quick question, i've been unable to start this ee thing myself cos of some reasons so i employed the services of an agent(pls don't come for my head i know i can do it myself) to cut the long story short, i have not paid him and he is nowhere to be found,i can't even reach him. I want to take charge of my application now.Plz can a create a profile myself as i don't know maybe he has created one.Would there be any implication whatsoever if he has created one for me before now?

My gut feeling is that the agent you haven't given a penny and who also took off without an explanation (very unprofessional) wouldn't have opened a "file" for you talkless of starting the EE process.

This is just my gut feeling, so please hold on & let others input before you decide on the next steps.
