EBENEZERABAYOMI: Any currency equivalent to $12300 CAD. Use oanda and other credible currency converter websites to determine the equivalent. Also, leave allowance for exchange rate fluctuations (maybe +/- a few hundreds of dollars...or maybe even a thousand) |

LolaO: You don't have to apply at the same time. Apply separately...and keep it at that for now. Since you both aren't married, you are two individual applicants. If you get married, then you can update your records if you are still processing your FSWP application. As a single applicant, you need $12,300 CAD. These funds could be in the form of: •cash, •documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.), or •documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you (such as bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders). You will need your 6 months statement of account to accompany your application. Check the CIC website for more info on PoF and also use the search button on this thread to get more info.... |

LolaO: Hi - I don't want to assume your (or your fiancés) nationality, or if you both live in Nigeria. So, see info from the CIC website: If you are married or live with a common-law foreign national partner in Canada, and that person also meets the above conditions, you can decide which one of you will apply under Express Entry as a principal applicant. A common-law partner is a person who has lived with you in a conjugal relationship for at least one year. Common-law partner refers to both opposite-sex and same-sex couples. Look at each selection factor and see which one of you is most likely to meet the eligibility requirements and earn the most points. That person should apply as the principal applicant. ...but if you both are Nigerians, and you both live in Nigeria, then you will have to apply separately since you aren't married. All the best! |

BTYL: Hi - Got this from Dupyshoo's post several pages back - Payslips are not compulsory. I submitted my application without any payslips and it was approved. In fact, most people don't submit payslips. Once you get a reference letter from your employer and you don't have any conflicting info, you should be fine. What do I mean by conflicting info? For instance, if you are on LinkedIn and your profile is saying something else on LinkedIn. Some people have been denied because of this. I am almost certain, there will be some unclear and suspicious info in their application forms that made the VO to start digging more info about their employment backgrounds. Hope this helps ...? but next time, lets try to use the search button before asking questions. All the best! 2 Likes |

omesanni: NYSC is employment....and I'm hearing that's what you filled out since you weren't sure the "government" questions were applicable to your type of work experience. So, what do you now need a screenshot for - when it is clear that NYSC is employment and that's what you eventually filled out. I think you should relax and channel this energy towards waiting for positive updates on your application. You will need all the energy you have...because the wait could be long. PinocchioDMZ: Yes, if and only if you are able to get documentation to support the work experience. Documentation include (but not limited to); reference letter from employer and pay stubs. This is from the post ITA document checklist: Note that the reference letter must: - be an official document printed on company letterhead - include your name, the company's contact information (address, telephone number, email, the signature of your immediate - show all positions held while employed at the company - include these details: job titles, duties/responsibilities, job status (if current job), the dates you worked for the company, the number of hours worked and annual salary + benefits Hope this helps...? 1 Like |

Aka2003: So sorry to hear this...I can only imagine how you feel. Hmmmmm......did you upload all your PCCs as a single PDF? Or did you upload one, then click on the same upload button to upload another? If perhaps you did that, the system would have deleted the 1st upload...and the cycle goes on and on. I'm suspecting this is what happened, but if you are sure it's not the case, then write to them as advise. All the best! |

dupyshoo: Thanks so much for your prompt response. I've been researching provinces suitable for engineering and I have a mini list of Alberta, Ontario, BC and Saskatchewan. Thankfully my ECA was completed by WES - so that's one hurdle crossed. I'm very keen on registering as an Engineer (in Canada) and the EIT sounds like something I'll love to pursue right after my PR. Congratulations on your EIT and yes, I'm very much interested in ALL the information you can give to me. Ehm - I'm not sure how you want us to share information, but I'm happy to drop you a private message if that's okay. Many thanks |

dupyshoo: Engineer Dupyshoo - I'm also an Engineer. I'll need advise on chartership/certifications ...but this will be after I get my PR. Or do you think there is anything I can do now before then..? maybe registering with engineering councils / bodies...? Many thanks in advance |

Aseade: From the CIC Website Yes. All of your accompanying and non-accompanying dependants must have a medical exam performed by a Panel Physician approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Non-accompanying dependants must undergo a medical exam to make sure they are admissible to Canada. They must be admissible to maintain their eligibility to be sponsored by their family members in the future. Having inadmissible dependants might make you inadmissible as an applicant for permanent residence. 2 Likes |

Wumiadeaj: Hi - Like others have advised, you need to do two things; (1) Articulate all your concerns/questions (in one post), so it can be easily understood. (2) Talk to your husband and understand the circumstances surrounding his USA refusal. You need to know exactly what he told them or filled out in his application form. I am hearing you say they refused him because he has no ties in Nigeria. My understanding of this is that he may not have declared he is married...because if he did, then that's more than enough family ties. You sound so agitated, hence the disjointed posts. I plead with you to relax because only then can you make an informed decision. All the best 10 Likes |

ymummy234:@ymummy234 - hahahaha but you only submitted yesterday, right..? I think you should take a chill pill and get your mind off it for now. Use the strategy below - from now: Don't think about it & avoid checking your profile (often) 16th July - 6th August (6/9 weeks post AoR): Start thinking about it Week commencing 7th August - Be very expectant Week commencing 14th August - start getting worried (but I know it wouldn't get to that just kidding) All the best! 2 Likes |

jenny3: No, but who knows? It could be a case of random selection. Do you have issues with then contacting your endorser? If that's the case, it's safer to get another endorser then. My two cents. |

I just logged into my CIC account this morning and saw "You passed medical" "We do not need additional documents" "Next step is to conduct a BG check". Have you logged into your account?
