Hephgirl: Ok - but when it comes to Visa issues, its better to err on the side of caution. It worked for A doesn't mean that's the norm. |

mzjennypher: Of course not....it is not an issue. The issue is if the USA visa expires and you haven't used it at all....and that's issue with your subsequent USA visas and not CAN visas. 2 Likes |

thoneey: Canadian Date Format on the ITA is Month/Day/Year - 11/08/2017 is read as November 8th 2017. Dig into your calendar and see if this is 90 days from yesterday. Confirm again yourself biko. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Abbylee: To be safe, I would say YES he needs another gift deed from his mum. This is another way to tackle this is and make it neater and understandable; His dad transfers the money to his mum and mama then transfers it into his own account. In addition, the AJO money should be paid into mama's account directly by the "AJO chairman" so mama wires ALL the money to his account. That way we have just one Gift deed...neat and tidy. Snrs can chip in please - there maybe other ways tackle this but I think this is better than 2xgift deeds + TBs cert. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Abbylee: Hi - I will try to answer this as much as I can. (1) You said he wants to submit 1st of November. This means his TBs would have matured by then and the money would have dropped into his account. so there is no need to submit TB certificate for TBs that have expired anyways. If he wants to use the money again to purchase a new TB, then that's fine but the tenure must be short - maybe just 3 months. Regarding the money from dad and AJO, no need to do TBs with those again biko. If I were him I will add the AJO money + dad's money together and do a gift deed i.e. assume the total sum is coming from dad. This is what I will do to avoid scattered PoFs - so that the PoF will just be two things (1) Gift deed from dad (2) TBs certificate. He will have to add his 6 months SoA + letter from bank just to be safe. This is what I would do. (2) He does not need to apply for ANY Canadian Visa at the embassy when he gets his CoPR. (3) It is advisable to do medicals after he gets his ITA (invitation to Apply) AND when he is close to submitting his eAPr. Medicals expire after 12 months and the last thing he wants to do is hurriedly do the medicals now and have to re-do it again before he gets his CoPR. Note that he MUST do medicals before he submits his eApr (it is called upfront medicals and there is a placeholder to attach the doc he gets from the hospital). I hope this helps. 2 Likes 1 Share |

oluphilip2008: Hi - I think you should be fine IF AND ONLY IF the reference letter you get from your company states your job title as Administrative Assistant AND the responsibilities listed on the reference letter CLOSELY match that of an Administrative Assistant and not a receptionist. The capitals are crucial points to take note of. All the best! 1 Like |

Blingyrie: Hi - see official CIC info below ORDER OF LANDING FOR FAMILIES/DELAYED ARRIVAL: There are two options for family landings. Whichever option you choose, it is important to remember that the principal applicant must always be the first landed. Option A: The entire family (including the principal applicant) lands together. If you choose this option, all family members must land at the same time and at the same port of entry. Option B: The principal applicant lands first alone. The dependants may then follow the principal applicant at a later date provided their COPR’s remain valid. 5 Likes 1 Share |

I recall someone asked about order of landing (she was going to land this week or so, before her family and wanted to know what was acceptable). I searched for the post so I can reply directly but couldn't find it again if you are the one, the information below is the order of landing as stated in the CoPR. All the best. kimipa: Hi - if I were you, I will aim to get the max point from my work experience. In your case, I am assuming the max point will be from the 4+ years you've spent in your previous role within the same company. So, look for a NOC that closely matches a travel and logistics officer AND get a new reference letter to reflect the responsibilities of a travel and logistics officer. Hope this clarifies the 1st part of your question at least? All the best! 1 Like |

salford1: Many thanks Salford. How do I prove my residency in the province? I'm assuming bank letters or letters from the GP (addressed to me) will suffice...Kindly advise. My UK license expires in about 6 years. Do I have to exchange it for a Canadian license? I want to keep both i.e. the Canadian and UK license - is this possible. Apologies for the many questions. |

Blackbuddy: Hi – many thanks for your detailed response. Very much appreciated. Just a few things (still) to clarify though. Re: Q4 – how do I process my PR status? Apart from the documentation at the PoE and giving them an address in CAN to send my PR card to, what else is expected? With regards to my Social Insurance Number, I'm meant to take my passport + CoPR issued by IRCC (since I wouldn't have gotten my PR card in the short time frame) to the nearest service CAN office. If everything is okay, i will get my SIN that same day and will not need to part with any of my original docs. Is this correct..? Please correct me if I am wrong Many thanks and apologies for the back & forth…it’s just that I really want to make the best use of the 10 days I will be short landing for… |

intercedertee: Hi - It is your work experience that is required to match the NOC you choose for the EE/FSWP application. In other words, your degree doesn't play a role when picking a NOC. NOC 1121 is for Human Resources Professional. Go to the CIC website, type in this 1121 under NOC and see if the main duties listed there CLOSELY matches what you do. All the best. |

Ogundre: See info below (BGC - is Background Check) Stages in Canadian PR journey 1st the profile 2nd is ITA 3rd is AOR 4th medicals 5th background 6th ppr 7th COPR 8th landing 9th pr card ======================= These are 3 different stages that majority of the PR applicants in EE will see against Background check in My CIC. IP1 -------- IP1 will be shown when we pass the medical. Some people get this update on the same day along with their medical and some of them couple of days after. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office) NA --------- This stage, our file will be transferred to CPC (Case processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer and same time they will initiate Security Checks. IP2 -------- This status will be seen in my CIC account once Visa Officer starts reviewing or after reviewing all agents recommendations. On the same day PPR request will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF upfront. These things will be done at CPC office. It is not necessary that every applicant will undergo this process. But majority of the cases, I have noticed the same status 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Hi All - I'm so new on this thread ....I recently "graduated" from our sister thread ""Canada EE/FSWP". I've read through all the pages and must commend the good work going on here. Thanks. So, I intend to do a short landing (I believe that's what its called) towards the end of the year i.e. check into CAN and then return to base say after 2 weeks.... then return to CAN at a much later date. Can you kindly help with my questions - (1) What documents should I take along with me for the short landing? (2) Do I need to have my PoF cash in hand even though I am just there for two weeks? Or will bank statements and investment statements suffice? (3) Do I have to tell the officers at PoE that I am here for short landing? Are we permitted to "short-land"... (4) What quick wins can I nail in the two week period i.e. open bank accounts, or registrations necessary as a PR holder etc.? What sort of registrations can I get done (or am I required to do) in that short time frame. (5) Since I intend travelling towards Christmas, I'd like to know if offices shutdown for the year as that will help clarify Q4 above. No point going during a period when offices will be shut really. (6) I have a UK drivers license - Can I drive with this in CAN? Do I have to sit any other tests...? (7) From time to time, can I remit money into my CAN bank account (that's if I get it opened)...? is it advisable in terms of exchange rates and all.... Apologies for my many questions - it just shows that indeed I have just landed on this thread. Many thanks in advance!!! 5 Likes 1 Share |

berniemac: Okay - if they haven't created your profile, then you are in a good place with regards to starting the process afresh yourself. Apply topmost professionalism when ending your contract with them though - and try as much not to part with any more kobo since they have no caveat in their T&Cs. All the best! |

berniemac: Hi - I believe only David Cohen can answer these questions you've asked. The contract between David Cohen and yourself should state the T&Cs...which will include the dos and don'ts. I really sympathize with you - as I can only imagine how disappointed you are after finding out you really don't need them for the entire process. What sort of information have you submitted to them? This is to ascertain if you can create your profile yourself and completely move on from them. Snrs can chip in... |

TTTTTolu: Hi - I honestly think you shouldn't be worried (hard as that is though). 1. I was also in NA for almost a month, while others had theirs much quicker. I'll suggest you request your GCMS note if that will make you feel better. 2. The truth is that people can get rejected at any time, but that is not your portion or the portion of anyone reading this. The whole process isn't over until it is over, so even at Point of Entry, someone's enemy can get sent back, lol. 3. This is a myth. I was a single applicant and I went through all phases i.e. NA/IP1/NA/IP2. Drink from the well of patience - you will surely testify. 8 Likes |

iwillrejoice: Hi - if I were you, in all my online forms, I'll use the narration "Access Bank (formerly Intercontinental Bank)" AND then get all my documentation from Access Bank in the CIC format. I know someone who worked for Oceanic...and all her forms read "EcoBank (Formerly Oceanic Bank)". She got PPR last week. She got reference letters from ecobank. Note that she also added the little things she could get from Oceanic employment e.g. Payslips, office IDs & employment letter. 3 Likes 1 Share |
