Congrats once again to all who have received PPR...this is great news indeed! smiley

Can someone please clarify that the IM0008 form to be filled out (post PPR) is different from the "Appendix A - Update Information Chart" included in the PPR letter?

I checked the IM0008 online and downloaded it. Its a 5 paged PDF document titled "Generic Application Form for Canada" and the footer reads "IMM0008 (06-2017) E". Is this correct...? Is this the right form I should be looking at?

Please help a sister o - the finish line is in sight and I don't want to screw things up cheesy

Hi guys – I’ve got this post PPR question:

Photograph specifications. How do I get my name, DoB, and details of the photography studio behind my photo? Can I handwrite my own details and probably the studio details, if they don’t print it behind?

Many thanks smiley

Hi Guys, do you think it's necessary to send in a scanned copy of my UK Biometric Card along with my PR application? I apologise if this has been covered earlier, I just couldn't locate it. Thanks

Hi - it is very necessary. I was asked to submit mine (this was during my IP2 stage). So, I'll advise you send it to them - scanned copy of the front and back of the BRP card.

All the best!

What do you want to do with a copy of a female pcc form? The major difference is that the male form is printed in black ink the female in red. But the certificate is the same. I heard somebody saying something about someone distributing female pcc form? But why? I really dont understand us o. If CIC lay hold of such information trust me anything coming from alagbon will be illegal and fraudulent.
Just go to alagbon, and do your pcc. Let's not mk any drama about it. I had to collect the details of the ASP that attended to me just in case anything goes wrong.

Excuse me...I'm struggling to understand what you mean by distributing PCC form. You sure didn't think I was referring to a completed form did you....? That would be very disturbing indeed. I said someone has a blank PCC form (in PDF) which the poster (and everyone who needs a PCC) needs to fill out. The same type of form that you would get at alagbon. There is no security breach in sharing a BLANK PCC form, when all your details and fingerprints will be taken in the presence of an officer.

And yes, she is female so she needs to fill out the female form - that's why she's looking for one.

Thanks a lot. I did not know there was a separate form o. Thank God i found out before submission because I already used the male form. I would just get another one now.

Tor! Good you voiced out then. I think someone on this forum was sending the female form (blank copy) to people via email...you can ask.

Hello house, are we supposed to use a pen to include FE in the Nigerian PCC before scanning to indicate female. Please what colour of form is the female PCC form and the male.

The front sheet of the female copy is pink...and "Female" is written on the 2nd page already (i.e. the page that has your fingerprints).

Please don't write anything on it - who knows if CIC will term that as an alteration.

Well I read the GCMS notes and al they said is that the police certificate from naija did not meet R10 requirements. "File does not meet r10 requirements" That is exactly what they said in the notes.
What are the R10 requirements? does anybody know?

hi - R10 is the completeness check stage 1, where the VO is responsible for reviewing your application for completeness. For the case of PCCs, they check that the following specs are ticked off correctly -

- Police certificates are typically valid for one year from the date they are issued.

- For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before submission of the e-APR.

- For countries in which the applicant no longer lives, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the client lived in that country.

Note that the personalized document checklist provided to applicants in their online account does not prompt applicants for individual police certificates based on their declared residence and travel history; rather, applicants must determine which police certificates are required as part of their application and must compile the police certificates into a single file to upload as a single supporting document.

If you did all this in your 1st app and it was still inadequate, then I'm not sure what went wrong.

All the best with this one

Hello house,

I am trying to shore up my account by including my money market investment, pension and land.

Am i to just get the last 6 months statement of account of the investment and pension in addition to that of the bank account. The land has a central C-of-O which I don not have and its value has gone up a bit. Can I include it without selling the land and how do I show its present value?

Hi - I can answer the question on landed property.

From the CIC website , landed property is listed as a PoF. "documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.)

The Canada visa website suggests that you should get your property valued by three independent companies. These can be real estate agents, property valuation companies etc.Make sure you get the valuation on letter headed paper and signed. Then add the valuations to your PoF to CIC so they can see how much equity you have available.

I'll suggest you use your landed property as back-up PoF and don't solely depend on it as its still a grey area.

All the best!

Good morning house

Please i have my first degree Bsc. In Business Management. And my second degree MBA is same business Management. Both from the University of Sunderland in the UK. Please where should i evaluate my Certificates that would give me more points? WES OR IQAS?

Please need urgent response
Thanks.

WES is fast and good for UK degrees - I can testify. MBA evaluation is what you really need for your EE application BUT there is no harm evaluating your B.Sc. too (who knows when/if you will need that to job search in CAN). Both evaluations should be hassle free since they are from the UK - and these UK schools respond very quickly.

All the best!

Thanks sir/ma
Pls what if the space for my travel history is not enough, cos it asked for travel history in the past 10years. The 6 boxes is quite insufficient. How do i attach extra pages if i want and upload or should i print out the form and write it manually?

Hi - I believe you are trying to fill out a schedule A. The instruction on the form states that attach extra sheets (if need be) and write your name (etc.) and the number of the question you are answering at the top of each sheet (I haven't exactly gotten the wording but that's the gist).

Once you are done, scan it all in as a single PDF and upload into the space provided in your CIC account.

If it's not a schedule A, then kindly disregard my comment.

Hello. Please what do you advice regarding uploading pages of passport? ESpecially when it contains the visas of various countries one got PCC for? Do I upload the pages with those visas but not the data page? Or I dont upload anything in the old passport at all?
Thank you

Personally, I would (infact I did) upload old and new passports. I uploaded only pages with immigration stamps (left blank pages out), and scanned the newest passport first, so it was at the top.

I see no harm doing this if you have nothing to hide in your old passport. It's better to give them more info (relevant info though) rather them requesting additional documents from you. This is solely my opinion.

Hi to all,

A friend of mine is seriously worried. His wife has Hepatitis B. She's a nurse and the PA.
Can any one tell what are the tests done under medical test and what are the diseases which can be serious for immigration.

Any reason(s) to be worried??
Please share.

So sorry to hear this.

Tests done include - Chest X-ray, Blood tests for syphilis (VDRL and RPR) and HIV and Urine test. Your friend will also be required to fill a medical history form(tick box kind of thing).

I got this from the CIC website Certain health issues may result in refusal. Applicants for permanent residence who require medication for Diabetes or Hepatitis A, for example, could be deemed to be a potential burden on Canada’s universal healthcare system, and CIC reserves the right to refuse an otherwise eligible application for permanent residence on health grounds. There are, however, ways to overcome inadmissibility on health grounds. For example, a report from a specialist on the condition could help an applicant’s case and help to avoid further medical examinations, delays and/or refusal

Wishing your friend all the best!

After medicals passed, it shows "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your BGC" OR "Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a BGC"

Please can I request for the result of the medical?
Has anyone done it before?
What tests are done as well?
Thank you.

Hi - I requested for mine and got it. I believe this is your medical record and they shouldn't hold it back from you (especially if you request). It may come at an extra price though - just give it a try....patapata they will say No.

@ehrnie thank you I clearly understand you. I dont know where to start from but will start from some where. Please house since have been advised to stop seeking agents help where do I start from after ielts, how do I submit my results because initially the agent said he would collect 114k for the process of assessment. I was told by them that the assessing body is ECA. Please house make una help my condition I do not understand any thing about this whole thing is just as if am in the middle of a big sea do not lnow where to swim to. Thank you all for the quick response.

Please tell us what stage you are right now...and what sort of contract you have signed with the agent + what phase the agent is with your application. The last thing you want to do is create a new EE profile (on your own) when the agent has an active profile running for you. Just give us an idea of the issue so we can throw you a life buoy in the middle of this big sea smiley

@Ehrnie thank you o appreciate your response can i contact you privately first before i start d process like you have advised becausI still have a lot of questions to ask to clarify some things before I take the next step because is like am been put in a tight with this agent thing I got my self into. Please help I choose you because you responded on time and I think you can help me out of my present situation.

Hi Dami - I have no problem with you contacting me privately, but I'll advise you against it. Reason is (1) If you post your questions here other learned people can help - I may not be in the position to give you the best answer you see (2) private messaging doesn't help the thread. If everyone posted privately, then even I wouldn't have learnt all I have learnt in the past 3 months. Lets support and help each other by speaking here. However, if you still feel you want to send me a private message.... Tor, it's up to you. I will respond to the best of my knowledge.

Don't worry too much about the agent - people on this thread have passed through agents claws and have come out victorious.

Hi - welcome on-board! This is the DIY site where you get practical, first-hand knowledge / info about the FSWP process....I guess this intro knocks out your question about getting an agent. No agent can fill your forms for you the way you would do yourself. So, agents are a No No - we don't encourage them here. cheesy

A UCI has been created for me. Please is that a bad thing? And can an application still be cancelled after Medicals?

Lol - UCI isn't a bad thing (sorry I am laughing - couldn't help it). UCI means a VO has been assigned to your file and he/she has started the process.

Congrats on your meds passed!
