If your ratings drop after a ride, then its low rating from that particular rider. For Bolt its last 40 abi 50 rides, so the good thing is that you can climb back up again by providing excellent service. But for uber, see attached screen shot. Break down of rating is provided. But seems not all riders vote, because total trips for me is about double that amount. Also rating based on last 500 N/B. This na simple maths 28 X 5 = 140 4 X 1 = 4 140 + 4 = 144 144/29 = 4.9655, approximately 4.97 rounded up to 2 decimal places So with the rating above and I'm then given 1 star by next rider, it becomes 144 + 1 = 145 145/30 = 4.83 See the drop from 4.97 to 4.83? Watch your ratings, provide excellent service. Bigleaf1006: 1 Like

Gentlelife50: Uber processes to signup too much. In the end results to Bolt having more drivers, and Uber requests having longer pickup times. They better change so they don't be "needing drivers" all the time 2 Likes |

So, I’ve been on Bolt for about 4 weeks now, but Uber only recently activated me. So yesterday was my 2nd full day using both simultaneously. Kindly permit me share my initial observations. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. 1 Uber riders are a class ahead of Bolt riders in terms of refinement, and they less likely to give you issues. Uber costs are generally like N200 more than Bolt, so every Tom, Dick and Harry patronizes Bolt, while only those well enough financially stick with Uber. 2 Uber trips are overwhelmingly card trips. Because of same reason in 1, thus giving you income assurance. While on Bolt the opposite occurs with cash trips, and you have to contend with change wahala and fake transfer risks. 3 When driving at night and considering 10pm curfew and security risks, Uber has the advantage in that their riders are very unlikely to be people of shady characters, thus giving you more peace of mind. While the advantage of Bolt is that you can see riders’ destination when requests come in, so you are better able to predict your movement by declining trips which take you far away from your comfort zone. 4 Bolt commission per trip is 20%, while Uber is 25%. But when I did the maths, to compare my first day earnings (Total Net earnings/Total Kilometers covered) I found that I was making N69.63 for every kilometer on Bolt, and N51.61 for every kilometer on Uber. But for yesterday’s work I made N59.29 for every kilometer on Bolt, while I got N 60.00 for every kilometer on Uber. This takes no cognizance of Total time spent however. So, the jury is still out on this. 5 As regards payment for wasted effort. On Uber you are entitled to cancellation fee, if you wait over 8 minutes after arriving pickup point without rider showing up. While on Bolt you get nothing when rider cancels after endless waiting upon arrival. 6 In terms of data, statistics and functionality, the Uber app is by far superior to the Bolt app. Even in terms of operational standards, Uber places more value on quality, and demands more effort from the point of registration all the way to performance standards as a driver. 7 Previously using Bolt alone in this partial lockdown pandemic, I sometimes had dry periods of up to an hour between orders. While using both Uber and Bolt simultaneously yesterday, my wait time for orders never exceeded 15 minutes. Thus, using both apps together is a no brainer if you want to maximize your productivity. 31 Likes 3 Shares |

ekehopp:Finally came “positively full circle” today with my driver accounts. Timeline below: -24th May: Commenced online driver-partner registration on both Uber and Bolt. Vehicle inspection for both done a week later. -24th June: Bolt activated my account -17th July: Uber activated my account As both offices are closed, had to follow up via email and Twitter for Bolt. And via Twitter and the Driver app (booking an in-person appointment; sending messages to support) for Uber. Covid19 has been brutal. But i thank God for fortunate decisions I made earlier, and for the Ride-sharing industry. The barriers are not erected! 4 Likes 2 Shares |

If you expect the next owner to buy new engine then I hope you mention that amongst your selling notes. Because all this big grammar you are speaking, if you have no inch of integrity in you, you are nothing more than an educated fraudster. Run something down, then sell it off as top condition. #SMH "Do to other as you'd want them to do unto you". dru23: 8 Likes |

Simple solution for Bolt. Get more cars on the road. And allow drivers to cancel at will (no penalty) If pick up location more than 15 minutes away. pope191: 1 Like |

Everyday we read tales of drivers lamenting about being blocked by Uber-Bolt. But do you know that Riders are also blocked too?! So yesterday morning one of my first trips was to drop off an Olosho at home. The client ordered the ride and asked me to send my account details after trip. Decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and it backfired. Ogbeni was still giving excuses as at afternoon. In annoyance, I reported him to Bolt, and Bolt called him. They then asked me to confirm to them when he eventually pays. Still had to send a reminder to client before he eventually paid around 5pm. And I immediately confirmed same to Bolt. Only for Dude to call me this evening pleading I send a reminder to Bolt, that his account has been blocked since yesterday. 5 Likes |
