So, the 3rd time I was to get my tooth removed. The dentist who was supposed to pull it out gave me injections to numb the site. Very painful stuff. But I don't know if they expired or something, because they didn't numb the pain well before he started.

Only two Passport Offices in Nigeria have the machine that prints the new e-Passport with enhanced technology - Ikoyi and Abuja HQ.

The rest are using the regular passport technology which is one of the reasons why you get your passport produced very quickly in other centres like Sagamu. Those centers only issue the regular passport booklets.

In addition, the new e-Passport is more expensive at 25k (+1k for payment processing). In some centers, especially in the North, people pay 12k - 15k for passport. They only issue old booklets to them for that price.

To confirm you have the new e-Passport, the data page will be hard carbon fiber (like a plastic) with improved design and green in colour. The regular passport data page is flexible and can easily be damaged by water while the new e-Passport has water protection.

Apparently, it takes longer to produce the new e-Passport and so if you file at Ikoyi, you should expect delay up to 2 months or more, given the huge population of applicants as well.

Good evening everyone, please my Nigerian passport will expire on November 2023. I went to Nigeria Immigration office today to renew my passport (capture) and they refused my request on the ground that my passport must have less than 6 month validity before I can renew.

Please is this supposed to be so. I'm quite worried because I will need it to travel by September 2023. Won't it affect my visa application and stamping if I wait till May to apply for a renewal bearing it in mind that it takes months to get the renewed passport in Nigeria?

Who knows this company in Port Novo (Siar Industry Sarl) they is a rumour that they are recruiting and requesting for 1k USD for the job with Port Novo resident permit, accommodation and a pay of 150USD weekly after a 6weeks training.

Is it legit?

Good day, fellas. When i was in Delta State last year, the was this dude who has this unsual strenght to work. Aside that, he is a workaholic too. The amazing part of it is that, he is not even a musclar person, he is a slim guy. Omo, dis guy go river fetch two 30Litres of water with him 2 hands carry fill like 4 to 5 drums or more. And the distance from the river to their house is a bit far. This guy go carry this water climb stairs and fill the drums.

No. I went on same day of capturing and opened a file. Within 3 hours i was done. Don't mind the crowd standing outside, just go straight inside to the receptionist by your right. Make sure you come with all the right documents including NPC birth certificate and your NIN match. I had issues with my NIN so i couldn't captured that day. I captured the next week after i have corrected my name in my NIN.

Thanks for the response. But the reason I'm alarmed is becaused I lashed out and parad at the officer doing the process for me. Its almost 6months now, no passport but one excuse or the other only to track my application and see that all is unticked. To be honest, I'm extremely worried.

Pls help me out!!! I have a female colleague who's married with kids, every time she's talking to me she like touching or should I say her hands is always on my body, last week I was talking to a colleague she came from behind wanted to tell me something and she pressed her boobs deliberately on my back, I wasn't comfortable with that.

NB: The girl wey dey that documentation desk wan reject the Birth document wey I go do for NPC secretariat.

She dey tell me say make I go meet people for gate make dem do LGA birth cert for me.

I come reason say how document wey I do for NPC secretariat no go even get value pass the one wey LGA or roadside go do for me.

Na so I waka commot for her front go meet person wey senior her. That one lambaste her say shey she no see say na NPC document say why she go reject am?

She no even fit talk, she collect am sharp.


And na wetin I use document and capture be that, beats me why she initially rejected it if she wasn't in cohoot with those doing sharp sharp birth cert at the gate.

Thanks for your update ,I went to Alausa today and truly my passport was ready and I got it today ,it was so crazy though cos I had to bride one immigration to finally bring it out for me. Cos I was there since 7am and it wasn’t even getting close to the number given to me as at 3pm.One man saw me lamenting and told me that I’ve to find someone to bride cos that exactly what he did and the immigration brought the passport for him so I did the same and not even up to 30 minutes my passport was brought to me ,Imagine since 7am ,and many peoples are still there .Nigeria immigration are just wicked and so corrupt walahi.

I was finally able to capture yesterday, after a very traumatic experience. Got to the passport office as early as 7:15am.All my documents were verified and servicom, directed me to take my file for enrollment. By the it DIY, I submitted my file for enrollment around 9:48am.
I observed, that when I the enrollment officer, a lady that I brought my file for enrollment, the bad eye and disgusting look, she gave me, told something was wrong. She signalled I keep the file on a desk next to her and to go and wait at the waiting hall. I waited and waited, seeing people that came after me, being called to go and capture. I thought, it was a fluke. This abnormally continued until 1:25pm and became agitated and complained to an officer, I presume was of a higher authority, who asked another officer to check what the problem was. Finally, I was called to go for enrollment and I had a breath of relief.
Now, since it is DIY, How would I know if the passport is ready. I tried to ask those at servicom and they said a mail will be sent to me or I should keep checking on their portal using my application and reference I'd.
For those who got theirs using the DIY route, please, how did you get your passport and via what platform were you communicated of it's availability. Thanks.

Hello Everyone
While applying for the renewal of my passport, I fill in my married surname instead of my maiden name which was on the expired passport. What other supporting documents apart from the marriage certificate do I have to go with for capturing?
Capturing date is next week.
