Is there any car without problems?!

Had my. B1b2 family Visa interview last week Wednesday 22nd June at Abuja America Embassy . We where denied by the lady in window 11 ,it was very painful and sad experience especially for my two kids that cried after we were denied.
The CO mood was so down that she didn't give anyone visa before me while the other guy was just dashing out visa to people. Below is our transcript

CO: Good morning

Me: Good morning

CO: Why are you going to US?

Me: Going on vacation as a family

CO: Where are you going in US? :

Me: New Jersey

CO: Why New Jersey:

Me: Because my kids will like to explore the amusement parks and seaside towns and also myself and my wife will like to explore the resort there as a bonding moment

CO: What do you do?

Me: I am a business owner. I am the founder and Managing Director of Elisteph Ventures. The company is a distribution company for major electronics in Nigeria like LG,Sony Samsung etc


VO: Madam where do you work?

My wife :Alayo Catering service

CO:What do u do? :

My wife: Caterer

CO:Do u have family in the Us?
Me: No

CO: Do u have friends in the Us?
Me: No

I will welcome suggestions on tips of a better chance next time.

Guys pray for good consular officer to interview when ever you are going for your interview. It doesn't matter if your documents are all intact and purpose is genuine. From my experience the Visa officer personality and mood at that point matters in you getting visa

The problem was not the CO but rather you.

You planned to visit a state with no real tourism credentials as a tourist. Which was the reason for those critical questions, "do you have friends or family in the US?"

The only reason you will be visiting a state such as New Jersey with a large population of Nigerians but with no tourism credentials is because you have either/both friends and families in New Jersey.

The CO therefore caught you on a lie!

While preparing for another application please remember the CO made a record of all your responses.

For a 2011 car, I am thinking the water pump will have blown and part replaced.

If you are looking for issue you will surely see because there is no car without one.

What is your alternative to the ford edge request for its issues too and make sure you are making balanced comparison.

In summary think Ford makes really beautiful and to large extent reliable cars.

I changed the water pump in a 2016 ford explorer. Started having the code P0017 subsequently. The transmission also seem to struggle at times. Thinking this is because of the code.

I’m guessing you’re to book via ustraveldocs? If yes, try, I was able to get a date on a Sunday last month for first week of November. Do not pay anyone for date, just be consistent in checking the page in the morning and evening. I hope you get for December good luck.

It’s always appointment before medicals as no one can determine that unless the embassy. Pray your appointment comes on time before the medicals otherwise you are going to have another one.

Funny thing eh. It was the embassy that told me to go get a date o. That my medical report is expiring too close to my current interview date. Before you ask, couldn't use the initial date from NVC because had to do sputum tuberculosis culture so had to select a new date that was after the sputum result will be out.

Interview appoint date urgently needed for immigrant visa. Medical is expiring and no date on the website. Agents or any connected person please get across to me. Fees not an issue.

The value chain will look like this: Refinery - Fuel Depots - Tankers.

His case was still at NVC and there are 2 methods for submitting supporting documents after payment and filling of DS260 form - computer uploading or physical mailing. For some application it is physical mailing while some is uploading online.
To say all applications is done by online uploading is completely FALSE.
Please don't add to the falsehood! Like i advised before, a call to NVC is all the applicant needed to confirm the position of his application. Hope he did that.

NVC only asks for mail in documents when requesting additional evidence. He has past that stage. For him to have submitted a DS260, he is at the stage where everything is handled through CEAC. This is the only platform presently utilized at least for all applicants in Nigeria. Your welcome letter would clearly say that you should not mail in civil documents unless the NVC request you to, and mailing in could delay your application or even lead to loss of those documents. NVC only requests mail in in very special circumstances where they are having troubles with the electronic platform and they cannot fix the problem. In fact, such special circumstances are nearly non-existent
presently occassioned by the covid protocols.
I had the same issues he explained when I was processing for my wife and kids and they specifically told me not to mail anything to them and just wait for necessary Icons to be activated on their CEAC dashboard. If there is anything I have learnt in the United States, it is 'adhere to instructions because there are consequences to not doing so'. The welcome letter usually have it in bold print that you should NOT send any document to them and that all documents should be scanned in through the CEAC, it is in anyone's best interest to adhere to that. If your letter doesn't have that good, but I haven't seen anyone who recently got a welcome letter without such instructions.

Its unfair when you insist on spreading false information.

A simple 'i don't know' is a much better answer, so the person will seek out the answer elsewhere. I hope the person that was asking the question finally got to call and ask NVC or atleast looked at his welcome letter rather than wait endlessly for his CEAC webpage to change to allow him upload.

If you are not able to upload document immediately after DS260 give it a little time. If its past two weeks and the upload icons have not been activated on your portal, send enquiry request to the NVC and they will fix it. Your welcome letter should have an instruction on how to contact the NVC. If you don't find that instruction check their website. Usually contacting them requires you to fill out an ENQUIRY form on their website.
DO NOT mail supporting documents(affidavit of support, police clearance etc.) to the NVC. Those documents are to be uploaded electronically.
Remember your AOS fees must be paid before this upload section would be activated.

You mail your supporting documents if you are required to. Some applications are processed manually while some are electronically processed.

Anybody in doubt should just call the NVC call center line (no. on website) to confirm.

No, there is a backlog for review of documents based on the date the mail was received by NVC.The statement for documents not to be mailed is for the application that is being treated online(which therefore has provision and is able to be uploaded on the website).

Same year as a person i know who had to physically mail his documents. Check the NVC website for the address and process. You can also call the call center no. just to confirm.

Yes, if your application is to be recieved online. If not it is by courier which is mainly for the older applications. Is yours F3 or F4?

You may have to send your civil documents by courier. Confirm the address from NVC website.

How many brand new Ford edge re currently sold in Nigeria today.

As at 2013, with all the freebies such as free shocks,free service parts etc, sales were still slow cos users of the earlier models learnt the hard way.

Still feels like a lot of Ford Explorer and Edge are still sold. See lots of them on the road of Lagos. The real question is how many brand new cars are still sold in Nigeria? When you look at the economy the answer will stare you in the face.
The low sales have nothing to do with the dealership in Nigeria.

Yes, but 3000k naira is a lot more than 1,000 dollars.Nigeria is heavily subsidised. For example renting a room might be over 1000 dollars a month in US, while on the average in Lagos (which is expensive by Nigeria standard) will not be more than 50k a month. So there is opportunity to save for holidays on that pay.
