1025: @sagytarius,lwkmd ![]() |
just use the resources people have already posted....... |
can't hurt, can it |
Even muslims don't believe that islam is a religion of peace, lol Let alone anybody else |
dayokanu: You can also open a church and stage miracles there. Get fine girls in your church too and ppl would troop inlmfao ![]() |
oyb: you just need to get a marketIf I am 100% sure that I'll be able to move the electronics and make 10% profit after expenses, or heck, 5%, I'll find the money. I have family and friends I can borrow from, if needed Alright, maybe I will look into it again. Used laptops are so cheap here. Heck, new laptops you can buy for N50k or so here..but I don't have a distribution network in Nigeria. |
I think China makes sense if you are buying new electronics and want to sell in Nigeria. But if you want used stuff, just buy in UK/US and ship...no point going to China. thi However, the difficulty I've found in my small experience is actually getting rid of the electronics quickly once you've imported it...things seem to take too long to move. |
carsellerz: Well I must tell u that if u bring in 200pcs of BB or Laptops, there are ppl ready to pay u off at Computer village..and buy everything from u..By 'ppl', do you mean individuals? Or one large guy/shop/company who will buy all 200 at once? For me, I would love to start importing things into Nigeria. But don't want to also have to open up a shop to dispose of the goods, or deal with selling one by one. |
ifyalways: @OP,supplying on cash and carry bases ONLY of clothes, BB, laptops, weave on etc is quite lucrative here. Get a strong network before you try that though.Who will buy the items, though? Let's say you import weave. Or laptops. And are importing 100-200 used laptops at a time. Will you have to sell them off individually, one by one? Or is there some bulk buyer you can sell all 200 off to? |
Theben: Oboy, go to one village and acquire some plots of land, then start farming, trust me, in a year's time, ur money will double. All things being equal oThis one is 100% a lie 30%-40% rate of return from farming, possible but not probable. But double, no |
How/where do you move these items you buy in bulk from abroad quickly? E.g., electronics, fridges, cars, used laptops etc that are imported. Who do you sell it to? Or will you have to sell the things you import directly to customers rather than to a shop? |
Yeah I dunno guys My own mentality is get a bit of stability with some 9-5. Then pursue side hustles/projects in your free time (at night, on the weekends). I'd feel very uncomfortable if my main source of income was through hustling or these various buying/selling oriented things that people always suggest. Like if I was the OP and someone was like, "come back to Nigeria and do hustle hustle", I'd be like...F that. |
AjanleKoko: See people are already struggling to relieve the ogbeni of his 10k poundslwkmd ![]() I guess this is the difficulty...laying low, avoiding relatives, and avoiding expenses. Btw, that 400k, that is for how many months of housing..? Also, how would he transport himself, move around? Won't he need a car to hunt for jobs/business? |
Honestly, staying in the UK may be your best bet. At least there is a social safety net there. Otoh, if you go to Nigeria and things don't work out, then you are kinda screwed. Unless you have some very likely opportunity available in Nigeria, probably best to stay where you are. The grass often is not greener.. |
I think the main challenge is that, of this 10k pounds, you'll spend some of it on airfaire, then a good chunk of it each month on food/housing/personal expenses. Which are high in Nigeria period, but will be higher for you (since you are used to a UK lifestyle). Which means that unless within 3-4 months of you arriving you start generating income, then you'll run out of cash. So I dunno. A tough puzzle.. |
Hmm. Interesting thread. |
Sure, we don't have to have debate this..there is nothing really to debate. The initial post you quoted was a summary, not meant to open something up for further discussion. Regarding "sub-Saharan", again, this is a fairly dry piece of bone. There isn't much left to discuss...most of the important points have already been mentioned Don't be too offended or surprised if people ignore that particular topic |
1. Sure. Anyone can debate anything. But the question is, what conclusion would most reasonably intelligent people come to. 2. I think most reasonable people, upon recalling the history of north africa well, would agree with point (1). 3. Pretty much nobody is going to say the Arabs are a black/white hybrid. They don't look it, for the most part (aside from of course certain places where indeed the population is full of black African descent folk. Which is not the majority of the arab world), and genetic testing also will not give a result that says, for example, 80% of arabs are of black African ancestry. And this is just the "black" part of the "black/white" hybrid. We've not even touched the white aspect. 4. There is nothing really left to debate about sub-Saharan Africa as a term. This bone has been picked dry and has no meat left |
lwkmd ![]() Ok, well, that was kind of amusing Anyway, so, what have we learned today? 1. North Africa is more connected historically to Europe and the Middle East then Africa 2. Arabs are not black/white hybrids 3. Hannibal was not a black African Not bad for roughly 15-20 minutes worth of work |
1. I also mentioned Jews The point I was making with the post (which you seem to have missed) is that none of those three groups are some black/white hybrid 2. And also, you were 100% wrong about North Africa 3. Also wrong about Carthage and Hannibal, but I suppose I'll leave that be until you concede point (2) above |
oyb: fixedFake outrage and unnecessary drama...seems to be like bread and meat for these folks Dunno what the deal is with them. Any little thing, they will get offended by |
anyway, I think most people will agree that shymmex's claim of Arab = "mix of black and white" is pure and utter nonsense Just as nonsensical as his previous claim that North Africa didn't have connections to Europe and the Middle East until after the enlightenment, or whatever he said |
you seem to have missed this post, by the way.........
Hannibal was black ok, was Carthage black? Moreover, why are you changing the topic? You claimed that North Africa did not become more connected to Europe and the Middle East until after the enlightenment or something. Do you concede that you were wrong on this point? If so, then we can discuss Hannibal and Carthage. If not, then let's finish North Africa first
|
1. Why are you bringing up Berber and Persian in a discussion about Arabs 2. OK, you claim that there is no Arab race Does it follow then that they are a mix of white and black? The world is not as black and white (no pun intended) as you make it seem |
Because we all share the same island continent doesn't make us all of the same stock.
abi o why fvck is this so hard for people to get. Asia has Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, white Russians, various Turkic groups, Indians. Yet Indians don't get offended when their country is described as part of a sub-continent Na wa for these overly sensitive, touchy black Africans |
Ghadaffi sounds like a confused individual to me Anyways, Semitic peoples like Jews and Arabs are very different from black African people like me |
lwkmd ok, so Arab = mix between black and white Are Jews also mix between black and white? What of Persians? |
If an Arab man hears you say that he is a mix between black and white, he will give you 2 dirty slaps ![]() |
oyb: yeah - show all these noisemakes a yellow person and they will automatically say chinko - could be jap, chinese(han chinese etal) korean, vietnamese, thai , all na chinko to themI can't tell the difference between Chinese, Korean and Japanese myself, and constantly get in minor trouble screwing up the differences. To my bemusement, I now live in a place where there are also Mongolians. And I'm like...wtf, this shit is getting too complicated. Imagine if there were Mongolian equivalents of the OP would then whine, complain and b1tch at you if you ever screw up. The last name "Nguyen" for example is pronounced "Win." I pronounced it "Ngoo -yen" for a long time, until I was corrected in an embarassing manner ![]() I don't know why all these people want to make life so complicated. All this ethnicity crap is complicated enough as is man. Too much sh1t to remember so you don't offend somebody |

Also, if the ancient Egyptians were black, why aren't the current ones black? what happened to them? Did somebody kill them off or something? |
