aminho: she is babur buraWhy do you say this? Is her last name Bura? I'm not saying I disbelieve you btw, just curious about your reasoning. |
@Mobinga: Agreed. Except for your funny picture ![]() |
solbil: i wonder why asking about someones ethnicity makes som people feel like there is ethnocentrism and xenophobia in the air. Perhaps, these people have lost touch with african culture.Likely some combination of faux political correctness, lack of curiosity and general brainlessness. I'll inquire about where Yoruba, Indian or white friends of mine are from, talk less of a Nigerian with a Ghanaian-sounding name |
Interesting, I've never heard of that ethnic group before. I googled around a bit, saw some Adamawa connections, but didn't realize that she is from an ethnic group that exists in both states. |
“But if they had started going after those who rig elections; those who carry ballot boxes to their houses, thump-print and start announcing fake results the next day, which is what most people are doing; if they go after such people, I will join them. But even if Boko Haram only targeted (and by "target", I mean kill/assasinate. In other words, jungle justice) those who rig elections, this would still be illegal and unjust. After all, who determines who should be targeted? Should the youth corper in Sokoto State who is forced to allow children to vote also be executed? What happened to innocent before proven guilty sef ![]() I don't think that this guy really thought through what he was saying before he said it. |
meh |
None of us in West Africa (or Europe, or Asia, etc) are really indigineous. We are all migrants from somewhere, probably in East Africa, or wherever mankind first came into being ![]() I guess it depends on what your cutoff is for declaring that a group is indigenous. 2000 years? 500? |
It was. Mostly a blur now, I was too young. But I remember shopping at Kingsway with my parents. I remember my Indian Science teachers ( at a public school o) and one or two Ghanaian ones too. We can become a destination country again, but we have work to do, radical work. Gradualism won't get us there.
Tbh my parents have told me similar stories, about how Nigeria was nice up until the mid 1980s or so. I didn't really believe them though Especially visiting for the first time in 2000 and finding a country basically in ruins. This third party account makes me believe a bit more. |
I'm always curious about ethnicity. I don't know if she is Kanuri, or from one of those other ethnic groups in Borno (or elsewhere in the north). If you don't know the answer to the question and are not interested in such things, then kindly ignore my post...the post isn't for your consumption anyways. |
Ogbonaikenna: i thought you said you don't poke nose into igbo thread. SmhKindly quote me where I said this? berem: this is neither a presidential election nor a multi ethnic election.it is simply based on tradition.Whether presidential, multi ethnic, human, plant, whale or Martian election, I have never heard of someone being sacked from a job before even the appointed time for them to begin it. |
I have never heard of someone being impeached even before assuming office. Maybe the op is Ibrahim Babangida |
Na wa o |
What is her ethnicity? Hard for me to identify it by her name or state of birth. |
God bless [s]profiting from the suffering of your neighbors[/s] capitalism ![]() |
lol @ phantom shitter |
I did not realize that this country was once so sweet. Hopefully those great years (70s and early 80s) will one day return. |
Living among lots of black people is a good way to become a racist lol ![]() |
Barack Obama is a symbol for all black people trying to go forth and conquer in a white man's world. As much as it is silly to vote for someone because of race...all I know is that this win made me especially happy. Good job, dude. |
This thread needs to see the front page: https://www.nairaland.com/1095544/all-those-glorious-years-spent |
ogugua88: Everyone knew that whomever won the democratic nomination would win the presidency. Sarah Palin couldn't form constructive sentences and John McCain was impulsive and confuse. It was never really close in 2008. As everything went to Obama fairly early lol. This election was different. Most of us came in thinking it was going to be extremely close, which it was for a while. The support for Obama seemed less this year, so there was reason to worry.I didn't feel that way...I thought that the Bradley effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradley_effect) would kick in, causing him to lose. I underestimated the basic decency of the American people. |
ogugua88: It still hasn't hit me that he's been elected again. It's like 2008 all over again, only multiple times sweeter lol.2008 was sweeter for me, because i didn't believe it possible for a black man to become president. Also, it was my very first time voting. |
Toks2008: Obama won again because he has a role in the end time prophecy to lead America to world war 3 and of-course a forerunner to the antichrist.STFU and GTFO of this thread with your nonsense |
So when is this nigga gone shout me out?! I donated $150+ to his campaign "I couldn't have done this without you, ekt_bear" |
T.B Joshua to be precise..
Yeah I only ever hear that phrase in churches |
Obama is such a classy dude, shouting out Romney like this. |
"The best is yet to come." This is black Christian language, yes? |
Up Colorado and Washington. But the issue is, will employers agree and not fire you if they detect marijuana in your system? |
CFCfan: Update: The State of New Hampshire now has an all female Congressional (Senate and House Of Reps) delegation.Anything a man can do, a woman can do better ![]() |
On a serious note though...Republicans needs to restrategize. Be less anti-woman, anti-minority. You cannot win elections with only the strength of white males. Demographic trends will make their strategy even less successful in the future. |
Where is Reality101 Where is Kails, aka Uncle Ruckus |
So where my nigga shymexx at, yarning dust about Romney winning California? ![]() |
