eph12:What a stupid question?? |
No one should tell me about playing in the box again.
|
Lukaku made inside the box his bedroom today, but still didn’t manage a single shot on target. Had only one shot (off target) in 95 minutes. Raumdeuter, don't deceive us with heatmaps because hitmap only shows where the player used the ball. Lukaku was unable to use the ball today. This proofs my point that Aguero has a harder duty playing against oppositions that park the bus week in week out

Mkhitaryan is a footballer |
Ref Atkison is against us
|
How did Lingard miss that? Now he scores. |
SIRcumalot:I never supported the decision to give him a key role again |
Drastic change to the lineup has not helped matters. Mourinho is trying to satisfy some players as transfer window is about to open. Trying to keep Shaw and Ibrahimovic in the squad. Since Smalling is out, we should have maintain the back line with him alone missing. It should have been Lindelof, Jones, Rojo and Young. The play is very disjointed because of the new players injected at once into starting lineup. Despite the above, I thought the referee failed to award us a freekick in lead up to the freekick that resulted in Burnley's second goal. |
chrisley024:It's always negative comments Repent o Organized defence that some were allegedly disobeyed. |

NEVILLE SPOTTED WHAT ANDER HERRERA DID Chris Smalling had picked up a knock but stayed on the pitch because Mourinho had already used all three substitutions. Phil Jones took it upon himself to reorganise the team, telling Victor Lindelof to move to centre-back from right-back. The England international then, according to Neville on commentary, asked Ander Herrera to fill in at right-back but was snubbed by the Spanish midfielder. “Herrera’s overruled him,” Neville said in the 90th minute. “Yeah, Herrera said ‘I’m not going to right-back’, that is interesting.” http://www.givemesport.com/1222437-man-utd-fans-are-fuming-with-ander-herrera-after-gary-neville-spotted-what-he-did-v-leicester?amp Chrisley024, What do you think about this? You are always the first to criticize Jones, and you think he is not intelligent. Built and looks do not tell about intelligence jor. I actually saw him giving instructions after he spoke with Smalling. He also dealt with the long balls until that one that led to the goal went too far from him even if he had to count steps towards it. |
Premier league table 2005/2006 after 19 matches. Chelsea were gone 11 points. After 22 matches, it was 16 points. Yes, Chelsea won it. Yes, United won the following season (2006/2007) with Carrick as the only major addition while Nilstelrooy the major departure. Although Vidic and Evra arrived mid way 2005/2006. The major difference is the maturity of Rooney and Ronaldo in the EPL.

funlord:The left, right theory is important, otherwise why is it not arranged randomly? |
PietroRico:Those shouting Mourinho out on this thread are playing into Dayokanu's hands. He is having a field day. Who knows, things can change next season. United might be on top at this stage while City struggling to even be in top 4. Is it not EPL again? Sometimes, it is one way. Some other time, it is two horse race. Then a team that were perfect one season, battling mid table the next season. |
funlord:Bailly looks very comfortable because whenever two of our center defenders using right foot (Bailly, Jones and Smalling) are paired, it is Bailly who gets to play on the comfortable right side. Then Smalling. Jones is only played on the right when partnering a left footer. What does this mean? It could be that Bailly is not yet trusted to handle less comfortable positions. Although I see him as out most confident player. I love his confidence. However looking at the pairings, he is played in his comfortable position. On the other hand, Jones is the one who is played on the left always. It could also mean the coach trust Jones more or that he relies on his experience or that Jones is better using both feet. Bailly - Jones Smalling - Jones Bailly - Smalling Lindelof - Smalling The above is the arrangement for our right footers. |
funlord:Even Bailly goes to tackle high the pitch sometimes. It is just an incident that could have happened to anyone. Jones has partnered different players successfully, like the great partnership with Rojo last season. It is not Bailly that makes him to stay at center back. Personally, I believe more in zonal marking in open play than man marking. The center back should stick together while midfielders take care of activities in the midfield irrespective of the player there. But sometimes, these things depend on situations. |
chrisley024:It might be the instruction. Smalling was also caught in opposition's half tracking same Vardy. He was able to foul him though, but Jones couldn't close down Vardy before he passed the ball. The Skysports analyst didn’t blame Jones for being high up the field, but for not marrying Vardy earlier. But in my opinion, the center backs have no business following a striker down to his own third. However, Lindelof could have helped out. These are some of the things Valencia does extraordinarily that look normal. |
Afrodoc2 What kind of injury would not allow someone to even move one yard? Are these guys not lazy sef? I have a feeling that Phil Jones would have defended that ball with his last breath and ready to go for 3 months injury. How many times do street footballers or amateur footballers get these yeye injuries in Nigeria? Except old men returning to football. |
Highlights show Ashley Young was the one initially marking Maguire. |
Rashford 'won' a penalty and then gave the referee a chance to make a decision about it. How? He beats the goalkeeper, push the ball away from him. Good. The keeper was sliding under Rashford's right leg. Rashford tried to escape the right leg from the keeper sweeping it off the ground, while at same time using his left leg to bringing back the ball to the keeper's hand. So the keeper fouled him and had a contact with the ball. If Rashford didn’t try to return the ball inward with his left foot, there would only have been one decision which is penalty. It was even easier and clearer than the penalty Carrick won against Gomez those days. At first it appeared they collided, but a proper angle review showed Carrick pushed the ball away from Gomez just before he was swept off his feet. |
‘You can’t believe it, he cannot believe it. And I have to say, have I just seen what I have just seen? ‘It’s an unbelievable cross from Albrighton. But Chris Smalling has just come back onto the pitch into a central defensive position, I cannot believe he’s gone back on in there into a position to pick up the best header of the ball at the back post. ‘You see him limping there at the back post with Ashley Young, and it’s incredible. He had a chance in the first half Maguire, it’s an unbelievable finish to this match. ‘The quality is wonderful from Albrighton, the finish is fantastic. ‘You have to question whether De Gea should be out there, it’s three yards out from goal. But take nothing away from Leicester, a wonderful moment for those fans.” - G. Neville ...... T. Henry thinks some other keeper could have defended the long ball that led to the first goal. But I don't buy into that. |
Garry Neville thinks DeGea could have come out to save the cross that led to the equalizer. I wanted to say it yesterday, but people would say I have started. DeGea is good. Sharp reflexes, etc. But still not commanding his box enough. I have played the highlight several times, I can say Romero came out to punch more difficult balls in the last Europa competition. |
My major pain is that we missed a chance to move further from Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool |
Good night |
raumdeuter:Mata that couldn't complete a pass that should have placed his team mate for a tap in. His pass went to the goalkeeper instead of going in front of him. Pogba would not have the pace for that movement of Lingard and Rashford. Pogba mostly score tap in from close range, not rounding the keeper. He hardly faces the keeper one vs one |
chrisley024:That was in the last few minutes when Leicester decided they had nothing to lose but to go all out to get the equalizer or lose 1-3. At that point we had more to lose, they didn't see any difference between losing 2-1 or 3-1. Perhaps, Mourinho anticipated it, and wanted to punish them with pace - Rashford and Mkhitaryan. |
Lukaku played well today. He could have had two Assists. He hustled and did almost everything right. The rest guys in attack ruined the day. Today was opposite of those other days we complained. There were weeks after weeks the other boys hustled but Lukaku was contributing nothing and missing simple one vs one. So anyone saying we should never have criticize him is taking rubbish. |
raumdeuter:I cant remember, may be tomorrow. But they went to protect their territory against long balls. At one point, City's defence almost made a mistake. |
raumdeuter:You have Aguero, De Bruyne. I think Lukaku can still miss those chances Lingard missed. So in United, the quality is not top notch due to lack of experience or good skills. |
