raumdeuter: You are mentioning Sallah why not Aguero Jesus Morata lacazette these are top strikers for top 6 clubs and how do they compare to Lukaku He mentioned Salah first. But to respond to you, Aguero, Morata, etc are currently outscoring Lukaku. Some of them have goals every 84 minutes or 90 minutes. Lukaku has every 160 minutes. Then people said other gets 3 chances to score a goal. That Lukaku gets half chance to score. I dug deep, I saw they all have same number of chances he to score. The other guys have not missed more big chances than Lukaku. I thought I was going to see Aguero has missed 20 big chances, Salah 25 big chances, Lukaku 0 big chance. |

eph12: Even the try your luck shot will be counted here. Give me a stat for big chance received, oh wait you already did and it proved nothing, in fact it favors the argument for Lukaku It doesn't. You guys said other strikers have 3X the chances of Lukaku. Then I proved you guys wrong. If you notice, I never had problems with Lukaku not scoring, his mediocre play as a big striker striker the issue. |

eph12: Big chance or half chance? Any chance. A chance is created when a shot is taken. Big chance or Clear cut chance is when a player is reasinably should score. Like when one vs one with keeper or free header at close rage or tap in. |

raumdeuter: See Aguero who people will call one of the best strikers has missed more chances than Lukaku despite being out for a while because of rib injury he got from an accident
DO you guys think if Lukaku was in City to be tapping in goals, he wont have more than the number of goals he has? a top strikers scoring rate is usually about 30% meaning for every 3 clear cut chance they score 1
That means you need to give him more, Not expect him to score 2 out of 2 Statistics show these strikers get almost same number of chances per 90 minutes. Aguero has scored more goals than Lukaku. Same with Salah. If you watch some of the goals of these guys, you see hardwork before they score. Sometimes they beat their markers to score. But Lukaku just want to be fed. Give him the ball to outpace his marker, he runs into touchline, same position Salah would leave two markers behind. Set him free to run from outside the box into it, he takes a heavy touch the allows the keeper the advantage, same position Aguero would beat the keeper. Cause trouble to defenders like Sakho did today, he would not be seen except the ball mistakenly lands on him. |

raumdeuter: Which stats showed that Lukaku get more chances than Kane Aguero Lacazette Morata and others I am not sure you read what I wrote. Lukaku missed more CLEAR CUT CHANCES than Kane. He missed same region as Aguero, Lacazette and Morata. They all outscored him. raumdeuter: Lukaku is made to do more work than all these Kane Aguero Lacazette Jesus and Morata. Most of the time they are in the box waiting to pounce whle Lukaku is expected to be in the half way line, on the right wing, on the left wing even in defence In the beginning of the season, Lukaku enjoyed staying in the box. He was not playing at half line. Even against Huddersfield, he played in the box. He has only played at half line against Chelsea, Arsenal and a few other teams. Kane, Salah, Lacazette also drop to half line |

eph12: Just one clear cut chance more than Salah. How many goals separate them? If he scores that one clear-cut chance will they be on same goals? Gabriel Jesus as scored more goals than Lukaku, has missed more clear cut chances but with 500 minutes of play less than Lukaku. What does that say about the number of chances he gets per match played? All of the others probably have lesser minutes than Lukaku but have seen more chances than him yet no significant difference in number of goals and assists. Salah has 12 goals and Lukaku has 8. You see gap. Meanwhile look below to understand the chances created for EPL players ..... MINUTES PER CHANCE RECEIVED BY EPL FORWARD PLAYERS (MINUTES PER SHOT)

Some players outscoring Lukaku or having his goals region are not even on the list of big chances missed. For instance, Sterling and Rooney.
Harry Kane with 10 goals has only missed 5 clear cut chances.
Salah with 12 goals has only missed 6 Clear cut chances
Pogba with 3 goals has missed 5 clear cut chances.

Leyqute: How be it?
Would thee point out the differences between the way both strikers doth play, O brilliant Elampeinstein? The way they constantly caused trouble to the defence from long balls. Arsenal defenders, even Watford and other matches just waited for our long balls to comfortably rebuild another attack. But City today had three men trying to stop one man from breaking from long balls from West Ham defence. They were clearly unsettled and looked like there would soon be a mistake. And this guy had low quality team mates |

hoopLA: To discredit Pogba you actually typed this on a public forum. Meaning you can't even be objective in your criticism. Fella had two assists in the game and you're calling one "granny assist". No disrespect but you have a superiority complex problem. You think you know everything better than everyone but you come across as a toddler with soiled smelly diapers smearing everywhere with sh1t. See what a full grown adult is saying about a player who is crucial to the team's success overall. You insult our collective intelligence with this your Lampese I-too-know attitude. Just agree say you no know ball and listen to the football intelligentsia. The first Assist can be given by anyone. I can credit him for the second one for some craft work in it, although mechanical. |

eph12: Yeah he needs to improve his stats but the style of play is not helping here and that is my point. If he wasn't contributing to the goals it would have been a problem but someone coming here to ask what Lukaku does in a match or for the team shows ignorance of the game football During the City vs West Ham match just now, a non Manchester United fan (he is a Liverpool fan) said the West Ham striker is far better than Lukaku while playing in isolation from his team mates. I just laf because United fans for nairaland no gree understand. Currently, tired legs Rooney is even doing better than Lukaku in goals per minutes. Is Everton style of play better than ours? |

funlord: When United reverted from setting the pace to counter-attacking at speed, Pogba was crucial. That tactic is only achievable when you have a player who is calm in possession, and who can make the correct decision under pressure. His two assists speak for themselves.
The second was sublime. Arsenal had pulled one goal back through Lacazette but the United defence managed to wriggle the ball out to Lukaku. The Belgian held it up well for Lingard, who played in Pogba. The Frenchman proceeded to make a mockery of Koscielny, holding off his international teammate as he rounded him in the box and centred for the unmarked Lingard to score. As the entire stadium, players, fans, managers and staff lost their heads in the moment, Pogba kept his to decide the game. That is the sort of decisive, unique talent United expected – and have benefited from – when they spent £89million on him two summers ago

Pogba killed two counters at 2-0 My friend and I said, if only it was those days of JS Park having to receive that ball and giving it to on rushing Martial/Lukaku/Lingard. Pogba took unnecessary second touch backward instead of continuing forward and laying it for Martial to his left or Lingard to his right. |

GOAL! Arsenal 1-3 Manchester United (Lingard 63)
The move started when Matic played the ball up to Lukaku on the halfway line . He fed it to Lingard, who surged into space and played the ball to Pogba on the right. He moved into the area and danced elegantly around Koscielny, who commited himself unnecessarily, before passing the ball across the face of goal for Lingard to tap into an open net. It was another clinical break from United, though Arsenal’s defending was again less hope.
