Madrid is a vastly Superior team to Manchester United. We struggled throughout. I don't know how the coach can fix things because a team like ours cannot be Champions. Although the players will have some blending to do due to new guys like Lindelof, Matic and Lukaku.

We obviously need one more quality senior player. We are still going to pay for the inexperience of such players like Rashford and Lingard. Also poor decision and lackadaisical attitude of Pogba. He continued from where he stopped last season.

We could be consoled that we still have Bailly, Jones and Rojo to inject in the defence. Smalling showed today he is a senior EPL defender. I didn’t see Lindelof as such.

It is unfortunate Rojo is not going to be around for the start of the season. Bailly will surely pin the right center back. He and Smalling were the ones who played there in the last half of last season. Blind and Jones ended on the left side.

Bailly and Lindelof will not be okay to start the season because both are not very familiar with EPL strikers. We are going to see one of Smalling and Jones start on the left.

If everyone is going to fit for the major part of the coming season, I see no need for Lindelof, except he proves me wrong. The moment he failed to deal with that header in that first match, I knew there was a problem. Even if a central defender is nervous or lack fitness, headers are the easiest for them.

Let’s see how it goes. It is still preseason sha.

what I'm saying is there has to be considerations. he is easily a top 4 player on the planet (peak or no peak) with at least five solid years in him at the top. if such talent is on the market and one of the richest teams in "rebuilding mode" isn't interested, then I question their sincerity and ambition.

I like Neymar well. I wish he was cheap to buy. We buy and forget about buying a DM. We can try Funso Mensah as a DM. May be if Funso Mensah were to be in Ajax, Monaco first team, or even Juventus, he would already be a regular and commanding a whopping fee of £70m.

I think Mourinho just want a leader to be around the boys. If Rooney had stayed (accepted squad role), Zlatan would have been released. We are okay with the boys, there is nothing Zlatan is going to do better than those boys. Old is old.

Adnan Januzaj joins Real Sociedad on a 5 year deal. There is a buy back clause in the contract.

Adnan Januzaj has reportedly been informed that he will not be considered for selection at Manchester United next season.

I think we have shifted our attention to James Rodriguez. The player is said to have rejected AC Milan in favor of a move to manutd. And he wants the number 10 shirt. Lukaku to wear #9

I'm eagerly waiting to read what Afrodoc2, Elampiro and AdisaOwala have to say about this Lukaku signing.

He is not the kind of signing you would go and have a big party. Like when Suarez went to Barca. He is not a technical footballer.

But he is what we need in our attack. Someone to put the ball into the net. In this regard he is ahead of Morata and even Griezmann. He is established in the EPL. He is a first team player while Morata is a squad (bench) player. A first team player is always better than a squad player.

Lest I forget, Lukaku has the pace to finish up a one vs one without being caught up by a chasing defender. He has the strength for hold up play and can jump to head in goals.

Based on current scoring form in the top leagues, only Aubameyang could have been a better buy for that position.

The only thing is to see how he would cope when small teams just park the bus against us. He might not have the big space in attacking zone he had while in Everton.
