b]CURRICULUM VITAE[/b]

Ibime (AKA Niger Delta Militant) grin
Has battled the best Nairaland has to offer . . . track record includes battles against Wordsmith, Lord Sauron, Mailmalc.
Critics say he spends too much time working on his metaphors and wordplay that he forgets why he's battling and not in the Freestyle Lounge.
That hasn't stopped him from giving us what is universally accepted as the best Third-place showdown ever.
Winning this will be a message to the other netcees thinking of challenging his grip on the Raplord throne.

You’ll get a penny for your thoughts. . . if you pawn your mind!/

I SMASH YA TEAM/ TRAMPOLINE on ya back and CRACK YA SPLEEN/
Then spray ya ‘blood’ over ya T.V. . .  now you got a ‘PLASMA’ SCREEN!!/

Streetwize (AKA Spitzophrenic)

Untested but feared . . . his CV's as short as Mailmalc's privates on viagra grin  tongue wink
Just a couple of line's here and there and his streetcred is soaring like Eldee's legend status cool
Unbeaten but with the highest expectations ever . . . his wordplay's unrivalled, lyrical knowhow unquestioned, he has the cleansheet on the line.

NL, My reign (rain) is on, my days have come
And I aint gon' ex- men till I take dis place by storm

My lyrics are in vogue . . . . d way I fashion statements

Game recognise game?? We're about to see Legend recognise Legend.
Current Nairaland word on the street champion, Ibime goes head to head against the hottest product of the Flow for Rank Academy Streetwise.

There have been no callouts, just a battle created by popular demand. . . Both have something at stake, let's see if the Militant Nairaland Rap King can be usurped from the seat he has held on to ruthlessly by beheading any distant threats.
We might also see the latest freestyle prodigy get the recognition as a NL Battlerap god in the space of one month.

Are we here to see the beginning of an ANARCHY or to watch Ibime just knock another noun off the NL Rap Battle Encyclopaedia??

And Eldee changes lane, its not the song anymore. You are jus miffed Khanye got owned!!! grin
You guys need to be a lil objective at least when you talk about stuff.
That's why it's a forum, I've dropped my opinion on what the track was like . . . and you've been screaming Kanye got owned ever since.
Does Kanye pay your school fees?? Didn't you see the part where I aid Kanye was the worst of the lot??

I commented on what Sauron said and you're here wanking like some deluded Scounthorpe fan.
No one has challenged any point I've made on this thread . . . y'all just go on with your . . . Eminem owns this B.S

We've seen Eminem lyrically murdering tracks, this one ain't one of them . . . c'est fini

That's one thing I'll never understand bout NLers
They'll always prejdge people without seeing what they have to offer.

Weezy's been dropping sick lines on tracks for about two years now but they're turning a blind eye
What's the difference between Weezy and Snoop Dogg?? One rapped alongside Pac . . . c'est fini.

Eminem on that track was just fast, that's all, get your Virtal DJ software and slow it down . . . it's ordinary.
And that whole thing bout physically threatening people, erm . . . we ain't seen the whigga in prison yet.
Eminem's criminal record begins and ends with carrying an unloaded concealed gun . . . c'est fini.

So is there any other question bout the fact that Cassidy's criminal record is longer than hiphop's resident agbero??

Dude you have to battle this guy.

Is there any bad portrayal of Nigerians in the game Halo? I believe it was by Niel Blomkamp(the director of District 9)
I have not played the game. (Besides I dont play games)
Nah . . . it's just the fact that it's sci-fi too.
People that claim the storyline and graphics were perfect need to play Halo
And that's the thing, when you've seen Halo's aliens, District 9's prawns can't impress you grin grin

Hmmm. . . . and the movie made international success.
That's the problem . . . I don't base my judgement on what the masses think.

The movie targeted the right audience . . . middle-aged, white people that have no previous experience of xenophobia and haven't seen any sci-fi movies.
57% of the audience was 25 or older(usually 35-60) . . . these are the same people that think The Duchess is the best movie ever.
Unfortunately, I happen to be below 25 and Nigerian, xenophobia doesn't shock me and I've played Halo before . . . so it looks too ordinary to me.

Nah . . . who didn'tgrow up on the streets??
50 Cent??
What I'm saying is, Eminem's delivery doesn't leave any space for punchlines
Artistes like Jay-Z, Bigge, 'Kiss build their lines round punchlines, Eminem doesn't.
Em's lines aren't individual, the first line is related to the last . . . for an artiste like Jay-Z each bar is a punchline in it's own right.

Lil Wayne dropped more punchlines than Eminem on that track.
Em had only one punchline on Forever . . . I dare you to prove me wrong grin grin

slimshay:
I think eldee is jus mad kanye got his chance to rate against eminem on a song and still got served. So much so he, eldee, had to quote diamonds from sierra leone has jay's off topic song. Kanye had long since derailed the song before the remix was made.
Didn't you see me point out Kanye as a culprit??
The song itself was just a way of tapping into the hype that surrounded Blood Diamonds at the time of it's release.
He'd originally named the song Diamond Is Forever before changing the name so as not be confused with Jay-Z's song with the same title.
The remix however was his way of drawing attention to the plight of the children in Sierra Leone . . . he had new verses that were on point.

Jay-Z's verse on that remix had nothing to do with Sierra Leone and that's the one i was talking about.

Bamsyle:
I want to believe the only reason y'all be sayin' Em outshone the rest is cos his verse is the fastest-paced and most aggressive . . . PERIOD. Aside that, there's nutin relatively out-of-the-ordinary about it . . .
Thank you!!!
I said it but they said it's because I'm not Em's biggest fan.
Nowadays rappers jst drop generic verses and force them on collabos. . . Eminem woulda still done this I go break bottle for ya head routine even if the name of the song was Let There Be Love. cheesy cheesy

The pace of his delivery created a shock effect that got all the Stans hyping.
