why is it that the only people you guys can think of his 50? and who said you have to be to come from a crappy environmet to become a rapper ?
Didn't I mention Pac. . .whose mum was a felon, that only got out of a case a month before he was born? Or DMX who had a mental depression? Or Dr Dre whose mum gave birth to him at 16? Please mention one hardcore rapper that had a smooth childhood They were all Rags to Riches |
@eldee What is hardcore about Nas? after all we don't have no proof of his gangsta no court case no wranglings with the law? Nada!! i have heard all those songs so what? would you say about Never Change,99 problems etc don't you know most of these rappers over exaggerate their struggles and i am sure Nas is one of them
Nas is not hard-core? Oh my dayzz. . .now u're scaring me Do you know what she just did? You just compared 'One Mic' to '99 Problems' Seriously you need to stop insulting The Legend
If being smart and being an astute business man is selling out then you can sell him over and over again like Nas wouldnt die to sit on Jiggas paper
There's a word for that: SELL-OUT!!! My days I can't believe any sane person will compare the street cred of a top-five emcee to a Glastonbury Rock Festival musician? Are you sure you know what u're saying? Any rapper that bites lines enough to create a whole 10-minute track should be shot C'mon he even stole Nas' style, have you listened to early JayZ? I don't even know why I'm arguing this, Nas is busy trying his best to place the Rakims and BIGs before him JayZs not one of his 99 Problems chiogo:Sorry the topic was. . .'Nas VS JayZ' whose better, not who's Chiogo's fave rapper |
oh don't give me that. some of the kids here in MD who live in million dollar homes with 2 money making parents leave their home to make a pit stop in the hoods of DC. sometimes you can't even tell who is from the suburbs and who is from the hood when you see them. sometimes they are even ashamed to come from a nice place. so u tell me why they look to the streets. there's nothing wrong with repping your hood but repping about the hood life it stupid. bragging about gun shoots and drugs is just not cool.
What rappers came from good homes? Is is Fiddy who's had to live with his grandmum? Or Tupac that said 'I nearly choked when my Papa told me not to smoke' Even for the ones that had complete homes, the streets and the projects are not as easy as we see from here. . . Places where going to school is a reason for you to get picked on It was an 'if you can't beat them' situation, infact rap was an escape for most of them. . . I think there are some things we need to correct here hommie47:I'm not saying he's crap or sumn, actually I feel he's the best Naija lyricist, but he doesn't rap like any UK rapper so they apparently didn't influence him. Ruggedman once said he was influenced by Shady. . .but the difference is his own originality, his distinct nigerian feel hommie: the english colonised usThe english colonised the South Africans too, and the Angolans. . .go listen to them rap owolomo: LYRICS WISE BIRDMAN IS BETTER,,,RAP WISE MODE ISAre you bleeping kidding me? onyinye2:I think you can make a day job from just spewing fuckeries everywhere. . . ![]() StephenP:It's as easy as this, the law protects women, an inch Women find out, and take the mile. . .
The National Center for Health Statistics reports that from 1975 to 1988 in the US, in families with children present, wives file for divorce in approximately two-thirds of cases. In 1975, 71.4% of the cases were filed by women, and in 1988, 65% were filed by women.[11] According to a study published in the American Law and Economics Review, women currently file slightly more than two-thirds of divorce cases in the US.[12] There is some variation among states, and the numbers have also varied over time, with about 60% of filings by women in most of the 19th century, and over 70% by women in some states just after no-fault divorce was introduced, according to the paper. Evidence is given that among college-educated couples, the percentages of divorces initiated by women is approximately 90%. In their study titled "Child Custody Policies and Divorce Rates in the US," Kuhn and Guidubaldi find it reasonable to conclude that women anticipate advantages to being single, rather than remaining married.[13] When women anticipate a clear gender bias the courts regarding custody, they expect to be the primary residential parent for the children and the resulting financial child support, maintaining the marital residence, receiving half of all marital property, and gaining total freedom to establish new social relationships. In their detailed analysis of divorce rates, Kuhn and Guidubaldi conclude that acceptance of joint physical custody may reduce divorce. States whose family law policies, statutes, or judicial practice encourage joint custody have shown a greater decline in their divorce rates than those that favor sole custody
|
TOH:Hope you know more than two-thirds of American divorces are initiated by women? @onyinye I never said women should be slaves, I just said they should know who has the final say. . . And one more fallacy from you. . . ![]() |
StephenP:And what has their push for gender equality brought if I may ask? USA has among the highest divorce rates in the world More broken home, more uncontrolled kids, more criminals In the UK, more single mums, why? Because the government believes taxpayers' money should be used on single-mums We have too many problems in Africa to steal their own. . .there's AIDS, Poverty, Malaria. . .and you want to add this? Chat2MeBac:Hehehe. . .no weapon formed against the Legend shall prosper ![]() |
onyinye2:Never once did I mention slave, so whatchu on? Solomon wasn't stupid, he defined the Virtuos woman first, then talked about the reward It's just like a contract, u feel me? She does what she's expected to do, then I go on CNN and tell the whole world, I got this babe on lottery ooh |
Pr 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. As you can see, emphasis was placed on her job to hold up the hosehold I wan't the one that wrote this, so er. . .don't attack me |
onyinye2:Oh my dayz!!! Whatchu on ![]() Do you want me to paste that chapter here? |
There's something called the Proverbs 31 Man. It's a book about how men should learn to accommodate their wives. Jackal:The truth is that we don't really have feminists here As J-girl just told me now, most of 'em here in naija think feminism is about hating guys Just imagine sum people claiming to be feminists in a country where 12 year old kids are still being married away stillwater:When we start having the prolific ones, I'll see which one I can break But for now, I've got a bi on my impressive CV ![]() |

Cool talk Eldee - it only takes a listening ear to decipher Modenine's themes, lyrics, messages, etc. If I can "feel" Tupac, Nas and some other very poetic minds, then 9 is just too easy for me to feel. All said and done, I appreciate our Nigerian talents but if there's a need to up ones game, let's say it as it is. I strongly feel 9 needs to improve (if one praises him beyond his present level, he won't improve; he'll get complacent).
