@tkb
Err. . .I think hustler already settled the Xavi aspect

I think Spain give enough gratitude to Barca's youth system for creating this problem every coach dreams of. . .
They'll prolly groom a Senna replacement in the coming years
Bout Senna, I'm seeing Alonso as the best guy for the job, he'll prolly leave Liverpool and regain form
Sports › Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by eldee(m): 11:41am On Jun 12, 2008
@Jackal and 4play
Iniesta, Xavi, Xabi Alonso, Marcos Senna, David Silva

Doesn't this line-up of midfielders point out one thing?
A team that cannot even boast of just one pacy winger, and you expect Fab4 to start, for what?
It's so obvious that Iniesta-Fab4 connot be the Peter-Paul swap like Frei-Yakin.

A coach that plays on the stability of his midfield will be stupid to start Fab4
Everyone knows Xavi is not as creative as Fab4, but he's most def not a lightweight.

His mental and physical balance complement each other, and that's what the Arragones was playing at.
Fab is ahead in the metal aspect, but he's no Viera.

To me, benching Xavi is UNTHINKABLE. . .(corrected)

Now with Fab4's creativity, the next thing you'll be looking at is how many of the players can benefit from him
Villa and Torres are pacy and can run inbetween defenders, fine. . .
But who else?

A goal and a decisive assist from Fab as a sub has given Arragones a major selection headache, but if I were Spain's coach, I'll just repeat the same thing I did against the Russians.
Not that anyone there is better than Fab, but why change my gameplan for one player?
When I can easily put him in at at half an hour to go and get two goals
That is not the point!!!

The point is women cook up loads of excuses like men earn more than the women for the same job, it costs more to be a woman, if u don't pay for me u are cheap, it's just nice and expected and whoever asks for the date should pay.

Sure it's nice -- I'd like someone to give me door-to-door chauffeur service, bring me presents, and pay for my dinner and entertainment, all for the possibility of sex, but with no obligation whatsoever. Let's be honest; if MEN did this, we'd be in jail for fraud. grin cheesy
Never even thought of that part of it before
Seriously, I won't mind that kind of enjoyment
You even forgot the unexpected presents, think of the presents you'll get just because the weather was good
@xerxes

There is no equality.  Yes, us women earn paychecks just like you men.  But then we have to come home and do a second full-time job - taking care of husbands and children.

Equality?  What a joke.

I conclude that dating is an investment for the MEN and us women are getting screwed.
I thought you lot were all about financial independence?

michelin89:
1. They know of course.
2. In that case, you can't blame these women because as you have said when an illiterate is given an opportunity he'll misuse it. Why not make sure your wife is properly educated before you bring her here? if she eventually comes and takes on the bad side of the country, you can't blame anybody but yourself. Get this right!
Why, if I may ask, do you assume I'm married?
As I said, it's backward thinking men that practice this, my point is, you can't blame them.

As I said before, when she comes here, there's a constant battle between her ethics and the exposure to the new environment.
You can't control those factors

An educated lady in Nigeria sees divorce as an abomination, compare them to the ones here.

The norms are different, they get to meet different people, they get new ideas into their heads, and there's no soceity to correct them
That's the difference. . .
Romance › Re: Why Dont Nigerian Men Bring Their Wives Abroad? by eldee(m): 8:51pm On Jun 10, 2008
michelin89:
Sorry dude you won't get me. You are just displaying your ignorance. An educated woman whether she lives abroad or home doesn't need Hollywood to know what's going on the in the world. Nor be Naija those girls who nor dey wear pant dey stay? Abi they had to come all the way to America to see that Paris and Co. move around naked?

Make you close that your mouth when what you are about to say can cause what you can't handle. Talk of stupidity. Shiorrrr!
First of all, I've told you before, I cannot be brought down to the level of slugging out words with you
The whole of Nairaland knows who the fool is, so I'll just skip that. . .

But thank goodness you actually made a point here, maybe you need to understand that there's a difference between education and exposure.

nalijah07:
PLEASE don't attack me for generalizing, but most of the Nigerian men I've met have wives back home, yet they have been in the states for years.

Whenever I've asked them about meeting their wives, or when she will be joining them they are very adamant that they do not want their wives to come to the US, and that the US is not a place for them. Can you help me understand?
1) It could be expensive to live as a family in the UK/US

2) The US does not want new families, they want more workers not settlers, so procuring visas might be difficult

3)And Most important, coming abroad is educative. . .Women get exposed to the outside world, they start hearing bout Hollywood divorces
Give her an inch, she'll take a mile, why don't you leave her with the constant fact that she's Nigerian, and she's not American
