Music/Radio › Re: Modern Rap Is Judged Harshly Compared To Other Genres? by eldee(op): 3:04pm On Jun 09, 2008
@ chiogo

i understand what you are trying to say because the whole southern movements is something that i am still getting used to because i not used to their style of music. i grew up listening to mostly rappers from new york and/or west coast. artist from the north, yes rap in a more modern way but the style/message of whatever is kind of of the same. southern rappers like literally rap about crap.
That's exactly what I find wrong about the matter
As I said before, all artistes sing about what happens in their environment

Why don't we attack the R'n'B guys that sing about love all the time?
What of the Pop musicians that always talk about how they want you to feel their bodies?
We don't even want to start with rock. . .

The bling culture didn't just start today, the problem is that 'The South' shifted our focus from 'black on black violence' to the dignified street life.
Is that not what music is about?
Is it not about self expression?
Why should one expression be winning countless grammys while the other is termed crap?

onyinye2:
what about the ten minute thinghuh
Ten Minute Rule: All things being equal, the level of enjoyment is directly proportional to the time spent on pre-intimacy, with desire and heat being constant cheesy

Romance › Re: Seriously, Do You Hate Your Ex? by eldee(m): 2:23pm On Jun 09, 2008
Nah!! We always break-up after understanding what we want

I want the ten hottest birds arround, apparently, there's enough of me to go round grin
They always want a guy that won't hit on their friends

It's always a mutual termination cheesy

Besides, LEGENDS live most of their lives being loved, the have no time to hate people cheesy
Music/Radio › Re: Talking About 'Asa' by eldee(m): 11:39am On Jun 09, 2008
henry007:
asa mmmmmh shes all good she's this she's that she's all that, very true but although she seems 2 be making waves home and away i still see a flaw in her that cld easily be erased there's something missing in asa. asa is not starry eyed. she's needs more class she needs 2 be this whole package, her life is kind of boring we need a little scandal here and there 2 spice up her career ok some might say i'm a bizzybody but i think life as a celeb works that way . all the same asa ROCKS!!!!
For he kind of music, I think that'll be three steps in the wrong direction
You can't be talking bout 'Fire On The Mountain' and still be scandalous

The 'Eye Adaba' thing will become crap
And she'll be just another artiste, intellectuals will only half-listen. . .

It worked for Amy Winehouse, but I don't think the same case applies here
Music/Radio › Re: Nigerian Music Section Rules by eldee(op): 11:16am On Jun 09, 2008
YourFather:
Are you not going to be shooting yourself in the foot with the no insults rule, to be honest, although I think alot of them are uncalled for it does make discusions interesting, this is not school afterall and in the real world people are insulted and verse versa.

I think it should be left to posters to approach each topic as they see fit. We are on a music related page discussing music like Rap, does it then make sense to say people should not diss each other, come on!!!
I think if everyone can use the insults and still drive the point in every post, we won't have problems
The matter arises when people turn threads into mudslinging grounds and totally forget the topic.

@skingo
Like I was explaining to Tosin the other day, I don't have a right to compress people's opinions
If they think Tuface is the world's best rapper, there's nothing I can do bout that
It's a public forum, the mechanism behind it is coflict of opinions. . .

@Rapsody and Flowshow(bolaji) grin
Thanx man, hope u're feeling Shaz' job in ur end
