she didn't get caught, she told the truth |
i told u i was scared of that boy(roy keane) |
money, is so freaking powerful. see what it did to this poor woman. made her get ugly for a tv show. |
dude, u see, we never get to understand each other. i meant baraje was a club banger, the rest were just a collection of his own core tracks. (what club did u go to and danced to Big Bros?) kaydee:Naija hiphop 101 is a ruggedman track where he talked bout how to make it in the nigerian hiphop industry. He explained how he released videos of his hit tracks before releasing his hardcore tracks, to promote his album. It's so obvious that u never even listened to any ruggeman cd. Pls endavour to listen to albums from the two of them and don't grade them by thier hits before u come here and start telling everyone that you know the A-Z of naija hiphop. |
definitely not |
Arsenal Goal Scorers Chart Top Three 1)Emmanuel Adebayor 6 2)Robin vanPersie 5 3)Cesc Fabregas 4 van Persie joins the LXG- League Of X-rated Goalscorers. Four goals in three matches os no mean achievement. |
see lynnette here much more annoying. only God knows how much they paid her to do that
|
@Oga Mukina It seems like I'm already getting scared bout this arsenal team, I'm used to us winning surprisingly after midseason. I don't even know how to convince myself that this is not 2004. |
@Wordsmith You seem to know so much bout the basics of Rap. If you ever release an album or even recommend one, count on me to get a copy. RESPECT @mokei I felt like that when Rugged released Baraje, but if u listen to his album,(Ruggedy Baba) in Naija Hiphop 101, he said u have to release dance tracks first. Not that I'm saying Rugged is better, but I feel he should not be called an outright sell-out. Come to think of it, Baraje was one of the first Nigerian Hiphop club-bangers we had, after that we had Peace Or War, Big Bros. I feel it was a good thing for nigerian hiphop when my sis started rapping along wiv rap tracks came out. @Bouzy lol, that was just an extra sumin i put there for bragging rights to go to rugged. @everyone Thanks y'all for contributing to arguably the most expository topic on Nairaland. This has shown clearly that Nigerian Hiphop is advancing. But one thing i fail to understand is the fact that nigerian artiste's websites sometimes have full song. I was actually downloading full songs from some websites. |
when u want to find out if someone is a rumour monger, just check how many posts he's had before building up the topic |
By now the news of Tu Face Idibia's attack must have spread across the various Nigerian media outlets. But for those who haven't gotten the news, here's a brief summary. On Thursday night about 8pm, Tu Face Idibia and a colleague were attacked in their car by gunmen whilst on their way home (FESTAC Town) from the Murtala Muhammad Airport. They both sustained injuries and are on admission at Cedar Hospital in the FESTAC Town area. Tu Face was hit in the thigh whilst, whilst Ifeanyi Orji, Faze’s elder brother was hurt in the arm. Apparently a laptop computer on Tu Face's lap saved him from further injury. The gunmen did not remove anything from their person or the car. My first source of this news was via BEN TV's Internet site. I don't quite know the source of their information but they sure made things sound very critical with their claims that Tu Face was battling for life. This prompted me to run a quick Internet search for further verification, and thankfully I found one, supplied surprisingly by the Ghanian site modernghana.com. It gave a more detailed and less scary take on the news, reporting that the doctor, at Cedars Hospital, Festac, where Tu Face is being hospitalised, stated that the artist was not in a life-threatening situation. What a relief! But it is no cause for rejoicing at all. The fact that one of Nigeria's most promising artist could be attacked in such a manner is very troubling indeed. The fact that lightening has struck twice on the same individual calls for urgent attention. It was only barely 2 years ago he narrowly escaped death at the hands of armed robbers, and now this. Similarly, he had just returned from a trip abroad. The guy had been in the country for barely 2 hours before being given the kind of reception nobody would wish for. It all reeks of tons and tons of fish. It was reported that his assailants didn't take anything from the car or its occupants. It bears all the signs of foul play. The extremity with which Nigerians like to operate sometimes presents dangers at the most unexpected times. Here we go again attempting to destroy what works for us. You have someone like Tu Face, a creative talent anyone would be proud of, who has worked hard for his success, who is being a worthy ambassador for Nigeria. This is the person some wicked elements conspired to attack. It shows how much criminality has been allowed to fester in Nigeria. It also shows the greed and ill-intent some in our midst have. Enemies of progress, doers of evil. Their insecurity is so deep they will do anything to be relevant or make a headway. I have no doubt that Tu Face's growing fame and success is unnerving to some unscrupulous elements. Because they are unable to compete fairly, they resort to the tactics of eliminating the source of their perceived competition. What other reasons would anyone want to harm one of Nigeria's brightest stars. It will be sad if this ugly incident was designed to harm or scare Tu Face into oblivion. It will be a tragedy if the dark side of Nigerian politics is now being transferred to the music and entertainment industries. Creative people are the life-blood of any environment. Through their enterprise, they provide welcome release from the grind of everyday living. Comedians fill us with laughter, musicians and dancers entertain us, and fine artists amaze us. Unfortunately the greed and callousness of some people blinds them to this fact. I know the Nigerian Police under Mike Okiro's leadership is doing a great job fighting crime at the moment. But this and other robbery incidents highlights the monumental challenge we have. In spite of the many successes of the Lagos state government and police, it is of a great concern that we still have many bandits roaming the streets bent on causing harm to their fellow Nigerians. Whilst some are working and building, others are killing and destroying. it makes one wonder if there is a secret factory producing these elements. Collectively, politicians and thieves have given Nigerians a raw deal. The former creating the problem, the latter exacerbating it. Sins of the past being visited on the present. The absence of vital amenities, like constant electricity, have aided and abetted the activities of the criminally minded. The whole of Nigeria ought to be well lit by now. It is almost like knowingly creating the perfect environment for robbers to flourish. Apparently the site of Tu Face's unfortunate incident, around Cele bus stop, was as dark as the devil's front room, providing just the right cover for dastardly acts of this nature. We need to light up our villages, towns and cities. We can make use of solar energy whilst awaiting more permanent solutions. I have no doubt that Governor Babatunde Fashola, by his actions thus far, is determined to change the face of Lagos for the better. I also believe Mike Okiro is waging a stronger war on criminals, and things are slowly improving. Various other state police commands are doing an incredible job. They do have quite a task on their hands, as it is evident that some criminals are as determined not to give-up the unhealthy lifestyle they've become accustomed to. To counter this we need a new breed of politicians and police personnel, whose vision, action and commitment will bring about the desired positive change. In line with our quest for a high economic standing, it is imperative that we improve our forensic capabilities to the highest level of sophistication. We need more trained investigators, detectives and forensic experts, so that the days of unsolved crimes are put behind us. In the meantime, a bunch of young men lay on hospital beds, totally saddened, bemused and angry at the shock welcome they have received after an enterprising sojourn abroad. One minute you are on stage receiving an outpouring of love and appreciation from a multitude of people, next minute you are being attacked by gun-wielding men. Tu Face must be wondering what more he needs to do to demonstrate his love for his country. He makes good music, flies the flag for his country all over the world, yet someone somewhere wants to harm him. Perhaps his winning a MOBO Award in London has further enraged some. Perhaps their artists will do better, sell more records, if Tu Face was out of the picture. What they fail to realize is that, an artist like Tu Face brings more international attention to other Nigerian artists, and is therefore a vital ingredient for the music scene. They must realize that the universe is big enough for all artists, business people or whatever profession. cowards, mtv has just posted it as newsflash, an insult to nigeria |
And you said rugged is fake, please define fake, Does it mean representing for your people(check out his website ( http://www.ruggedmanonline.com/main.html ). this guy got tv airplay when the only thing we use to get was fake rnb tracks, he challenged Kennis Music. (Big Bros- Thy Album Come) and gave all other emcee's recogntion, if that's what u call fake, i'll prefer to be as fake. the bad thing is that he even explains to u guys all the time(Naija Hiphop 101). Who's got the lyrics? Mode, Who's got the fans?Rugged U only need to check out his my space page to understand this; he's the most featured rapper in Nigeria, i.e you don't have to buy his album to listen to his songs, that who I call a sucessful artiste. http://www.myspace.com/ruggedmannigerian |

@Wordsmith Well said bro, this has been a constant problem on nairaland, people seem to forget that this is a forum, it was built for people to come together and discuss opinions on different topics. @Association Of Modenine Fans On Nairaland(AMFON) If you check out my first post on this topic, you'll see were I said that Mode is one of the best (if not the best) lyricists Nigeria has ever produced. But when I saw other replies, I agreed that most nigerians need sumfin they feel and not someone giving them a 419 version of NY State of Mind. Please tell me how many nigerians understand this. My train of thought run you over when you on my track Meaning I’m serving you off the court with what I spat And I dare you not to put the beef back on the meat rack Ya weak black roasting acting like you raw You’re an Alby imposter because you’re not Sure While I’m on point like I’m sitting on the Score board Swinging war swords, slashing up all you wack guys Rap wise, I wear you out like running up a hill Fatigue is not the issue you get tired by 4 wheels I have no elastic limit I won’t yield I got the game sealed controlling it ma foot on the peddle Beefing show promoters who always try to meddle Like floating particles in pure water we won’t settle The lead’ll pierce flesh I executed the mind hit Rewind it heads do that whenever I spit Without there fingers in my toilet they feeling my shit If I had the whole day I'll have explained this verse line by line for everyone on nairaland to understand, if he wanted to reach a majority of people that feel him, then he should have stayed in The UK where he grew up. @tjscale The simple fact is, when i want to listen to american hard core; i just go to hmv and buy nas, talib or common and when i want nigerian stuff, i rather go for Freestyle, eLDee and Rugged. So stop saying rugged cannot sound american, put it like this, he won't sound american, he's Nigerian. @kaydee You're asking if I'm eldee the rapper. I don't think u've heard of one easy new invention on nairaland called PROFILE. You're there calling people fools when u're repping like one. |
bro, i know how desperate u are to get a proof. but ask anyone in the uk, it's better to trust complete sports than THE SUN newspapers, they are known for their love for controversy. they were the ones that reported that terry was the cause of mourinho leaving chelsea and more popular the news that ashley cole was gay |
abeg tell them, that was a nice collection |
One Of the biggest sport scandals of our time has finally come to an end. The most sucessful female sprinter in the Sidney Olympics has admitted to doing drugs. This is a very shameful occurence for Marion Jones, The United States Of America and The Athletics Body as a whole. Marion Jones has admitted to taking steroids and lying to federal investigators. She might go to jail but she came clean in a press conference yesterday night. All Things Considered, October 5, 2007 · Olympic track and field star Marion Jones has pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators about using steroids. The three-time Olympic gold medalist also announced her retirement from the sport on Friday. Jones had adamantly defended herself against allegations of steroid use before the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, where she won five medals until yesterday. |
