rapjunkie: ![]() Oh my days!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is hilarious. . . So Modenine made a statement that will sound stupid to even primary school kids just to apply a poetic device?? So what was the point of your last 15 posts?? You're shameless . . . you should save your face and say you were joking or sumn, this is weak. Ibkaye and Chiogo have to see this. ![]() |
@tosin One by one, chics don dey show for this thread. That's more potential wives decreasing for Rapjunkie. ![]() Maynne . . . that leaves us with more options ![]() |
Genuflect:Come on . . . that's unfair on Rapjunkie ![]() |
rapjunkie:No personal insult intended but this is daft. 1. He said, 'me and you are prime numbers' (plural). So he obviously didn't mean they added together. . . so that line is defeated. 2. Even if we tried to reason with that, 'we're not even' was meant to be for 'equal' and 'not odd' If they are both 1, it means they are equal. Defeats the whole purpose of the line. 3. The sum of 1 + 1 is 2 . . . which is an even number, destroys the factual validity of the line. Do you actually think you're smarter than anyone on this thread with these kind of arguments?? |
rapjunkie:You do know 1 is not a prime number right?? |
actually na 540,815 . . . lmfao
It just increased to 540820 How many people join NL every minute sef?? |
rapjunkie:You didn't provide an explanation, you provided a reason why it should be ignored. You're not willing to come to terms with the fact that the original intention of the line is flawed first before the reason. I'm talking to you as I would a reasonable person, but you're desperate to degrade yourself in front of 540,000 people excluding guests. |
I saw John Q and Inside Man yesterday, what other movies are we going to review?? Let me watch them on get my review ready. |
rapjunkie:You're actually using Rhymestein's assent to verify the validity of your point?? Now this is a new low. |
lol eldee u forgot to add the important part. . . . . check my track record
Hehehehe . . . me I don't want my career to end ooh. ![]()
as usual. . . . epistle of rhymstein with little or no sense!
Hehehe . . . you made me hit my head on my laptop ![]() Just wondering . . .does anyone read Rhymestein's posts, I don't even try to see if he's agreeing with me or not. ![]() |
obinna5000:The only thing that was exceptional about this movie was the acting and the cause it was fighting for . . . while the acting was peach, the rest of the movie was not befitting of such an interesting concept. And no . . . we cannot give points for moral lessons of movies, if we did . . . Nollywood will be on Ebert & Roeper every week. I can't believe how messed up the cinematography was . . . I was disappointed. |
@Tosin Are you seriously trying to explain this to people that are already blinded to any possibility of Modenine making an error?? Didn't you see him clutching straws by bringing the M.I 'testes' line here?? I'm on to the next one jare . . . if I start dissing him now, he'll be doing his 'don't try me, I can kill', 'I will end your career', 'I will marry your girlfriend' ![]() |
rapjunkie:I really don't want to get into the centre of this thing but let us be reasonable here. Wordplay is simple . . . What was he trying to imply?? What did he say?? The use of even there was clearly (against odd). 22 and 46 are even numbers, are they not even?? So your 'we're different numbers' argument doesn't count. The sense of the word he was trying to portray was even/odd . . . if not any two numbers would have sufficed. Your excuse is an insult to my intelligence. |
JOHN Q Plot/Script (13) There's a thin line between far-fetched and innovative, without the display of love between father and son at the beginning of the movie, it would have crossed the line over to far-fetched ages ago. A good application of the butterfly/earthquake concept with the accident helped to put a little more mystery into the story. That said, major flaws include the fact that a sniper with a clear view missed just because Denzel became Neo Q. Let's jst say he was a little too lucky for an everyday factory worker who's had a streak of bad luck before that. Directing (9) Every Inside Man needs a Spike Lee. Too many cases where the actors go into unnecessary streaks of explaining what they're going to do. Stating the obvious and over-stretching political arguments. Where was the director to yell 'CUT'?? This leaves the viewer with the hindtaste of an agenda movie, perfect for activists, but boring for ardent movie fans. This is probably the main difference between Inside and John Q. I hope to see a re-make in the nearest future, with a Soderbergh/Spike Lee collabo or sumn. Cinematography (10) This wasn't that great either. It is a widely accepted fact that a good story sells DVDs, while technology brings opening grosses. John Q was a perfect opportunity for the producer to push the boundaries of cinematography. This was a no-show. The accident scene was on the same level with Nollywood, the least they could have done was to capture the lead character's interesting displays of emotion from equally interesting angles, they failed at this too. A movie like this without special effects is bland. It may seem unfair to rate the cinematography against the genius levels of today, but a quick look at the other movies that hit big in 2002 will tell you that it was a failure, even in its day. (See Bourne Identity, Catch Me If You Can, Chicago, City of God). Acting(24) Denzel took this role like his life depended on it. The role of a fugitive with hostages can prove difficult sometimes, especially with the ever-changing range of emotions the actor has to display. Denzel does this perfectly moving smoothly through the five stages of grief (Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance) and then portraying hope to cap it all up. Only in a few movies will you see an actor almost every possible human emotion and being peach at each and every one. Mrs Archibald was also a beauty to watch, and the character of the son was as realistic as the word goes. This movie should be renamed Dummies' Guide to acting out ordinary human emotions. Overall: 56/100 |
Pharoh:That's the catch . . . I'm dropping Messi and Iniesta to get a team of average players maynne . . . |
rapjunkie:Don't even start drawing explanations here . . . if all the rappers are on level 2, then they are even(as opposed to odd) and even(as in equal). Modenine was oblivious to the fat the 2 is an even number . . . that's what he was playing at. I hate it when you guys start this B.S, it's irritating. |
See this stupid people . . . how and why is Lampard more expensive than Iniesta/Xavi?? This is pure B.S abeg. I love these £1mil players though ![]() |
^^^^^^^^^ But come on man . . .you no someone INECed this poll. It just doesn't look right . . . ![]() No more ojoro . . . no more mago mago . . . Vote for MUSIC!!! |

You might not have intended to appear confrontational, but you did. The average person will see you last few posts as aggressive even if you didn't mean it. But it's all good man . . . MUSIC FOR LIFE!!! ![]() Infact let me go campaign over there. ![]() |
d'u really av 2 come out ds way? Bloody nuisance!! **no offense**
Yeah I did . . . that's how I deal with people that say 'bloody nuisance' and then say 'no offence' in the same breath. When you start learning how to talk, people will start treating you properly. |
Ibime:Exactly . . . I'm not saying it's a bad line, we see where he's coming from, but it rids it of half its power and makes it less of that hot line you heard at first. Rappers don't have to be gods, besides, it's still a sick concept. |
Ibime:Well . . . it takes away half the power of the line. . . same with the Stevie Wonder line. |
Ibime:Two(2) is a prime number . . . |
@ eldee Come now, you make it sound like what she was saying didn't make sense. The cop had no legit reason to pull them over. He wouldn't even listen to reason. I understand the husband was trying to be diplomatic and be as law abiding as possible but he just stood there. . . He just stood there and watched. Didn't he even say "Thank You, officer" when the cop finally let them go? Wuss! Gah! I've all over youtube and I can't find the clip. I think would this discussion a li'l more.
He was in a known racist town . . . she knew that, everyone knows policemen don't ever stop you for a legitimate reason, if you're living in a racist area, you know damn well that they'll take advantage of it. Now he was being a realist . . . but she was being a Rosa Parks, why should he suffer because she was trying to be a hero?? I think I found the link, should I embed it here?? |
@HNIC I do agree that Paddy was a great captain, but the Cole-gate flaw was just unforgivable for me. You don't pick your friendship over the team . . .it's wrong on every level. It's as bad as the Zidane headbutt in my books. For now, Fab4 is the best choice in this team, he's great on the pitch, our game becomes Arsenal when he plays and he's good with the press . . . his maturity in this Barca thing has been unexpected. |
Honestly? I don't know! ![]() You?
I think the fact that she kept being rude to the policemen knowing how racist they could be should be enough reason to let her face the consequences herself. There's no need to die just because a woman doesn't know when to shut the hell up. |
@kgdavid Because he was black, it was a cop and the cop had gun.
Would you have done anything in the guy's shoes?? Watching your wife cry as she was being molested. |
HNIC:I think Fab4 is the only person that deserves that armband. . . he practically grew up with us. He's been there to fight for his team-mates and let's not forget that he leads by example. Besides, Paddy had his flaws . . . some of his red cards for childish tackles were really bad. And the famous A.Cole-gate incident too . . . He was pro-players and in a few cases it did end up anti-Arsenal. |
No one should even begrudge him for wanting to leave but as Arsenal captain he shouldn't be hawking himself and stylishly trying to campaign for an exit. You see his page and you expect that if he is not talking about Arsenal he is talking about his chances or that of his teammates ahead of the WC. I don't blame him sha clearly Wenger does not know the value of the arm-band that is why he has given it to idiots like Senderos,Silvestre and Fabianski in the past
Dude chill man. . . if it's this one . . . http://www.facebook.com/search/?flt=1&q=francesc%20fabregas&o=2048#!/Fabregas?ref=ts , then I can assure you that it's just a fan page and Fab4 fans set it up and collected news stories to put there. Fabregas was/is a good captain, he's proven that already. |
