Well I can smell and see hot fumes when my car is over heating, I can also guess how fast I'm going by the wind on my skin, but try guessing how much fuel you have left and you will find yourself in the middle of 3rd mainland bridge stranded.lol. And the many cars you find broken down on the road belongs to idiots who don't check for water and oil before they leave their house.

Let me guess, u also don't give a f**k if u have a flashing D light on ur dash, or when u have a check engine light on

You are talking as if its only chelsea fans that will vote. No doubt majority of chelsea fans and Nigerians will vote for Mikel, But what about other fans? They will vote based on who actually merits the award. Just the same way Swedish and PSG fans voted Ibrahimovic for Ballon D'or last year, Portuguese and Real Madrid for Ronaldo, Dutch and Man Utd for Robin Van Persie, But the rest of the world knew who deserves the award and they voted Messi.

Lol did BBC ask "WHO IS BETTER" ?.Or did they say "VOTE FOR WHO IS BETTER"??.
If votes are open to every body to vote for the Ballon 'door nominees.I can bet that 70 % of chelsea fans would vote for Eden hazard no matter how undeserving he is to win it.Why ?
Becos hazard is their own.
Messi and d likes deserve to win it,but they are not theirs.
Many chelsea fans would rather vote for a chelsea academy player than to vote for yaya toure
Why ?.Becos yaya toure is not theirs.Wether he wins it or not wouldnt affect chelsea. But if their player wins,it would have a positive effect on their player(confidence and all) which is a good thing for d team in general.
You can click dat link and view d comments.http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com /2013/11/12/5095072/vote-mikel-for-bbc- african-player-of-the-year
Majority of the fans say they've voted for mikel, some say they've voted multiple times.Same case in other chelsea fan-blogs.
Only 1 person says he'll vote 4 yaya.
And i am a member of dat site.Only about 2 or 3 out of those comments are 4rm nigerians.
I'll post links later of d "Vote for Mikel" on other chelsea blogs for u to read d comments.
Same on twitter, foreing fans are voting for mikel.
Not everybody is like u you know.
Not all chelsea fans are like u(thats if u really are a chelsea fan).
And not everybody is a mikel-hater like u.
Read other posts on that particular site and read the comments 4rm chelsea fans worldwide.
There are many foreing fans who really love mikel.

I always have my eyes on the instrument cluster every 30-60 secs. I don't only check the speedometer but also the temperature gauge. I also check my mirrors every few seconds. I am always gentle on gas depending on the road and traffic. On the highway once i get to 120-130 i take it easy.

striker9: Go through all my posts,I never for once said Mikel is better, but we need to encourage him more so that he can even get better. He has been trying so far for the national team, the least we guys could do is support him when he needs us.Essien has been on the bench all this while, yet Ghanians are still supporting him,not digging out some stewpid mistakes he made some yrs ago.

Ok bro, I support Mikel really and he has improved his game especially when playing for the national team. Now he plays with all his heart, things he didn't do in the past. I respect him for that. But if I'm a manager of a team and I have to choose one between Mikel and Yaya, I will choose Yaya without blinking.

Lol.
Mikel performed far better dan Yaya in d national team side. Not talking 'bout afcon alone.I'm talking 'bout All the national team mathces played dis year.
Yaya performed far better than Mikel on club level.
They never said d award is judged based on club performance, neither did dey say d award is judged based on national team performance.
So "Who deserves d award" is arguable.
If u think it should be on who performed best at club level,First of all go and complain to BBC about d past awards before u preach about "if yaya was a nigerian" or "How will u feel":-

2012:-Who was d most outstanding player at club level??.Yaya toure.
But who won it ??.Katongo
2011:-Who was d most outstanding player at club level??.Yaya toure
Who won it ??.Andre Ayew.
2010:-Who was the most outstanding player at club level??.Samuel etoo
Who won it ??.Asamoah Gyan.
You should 1st of all go and complain 2 BBC that these players didnt deserve to win it.

Glad u realize its not only based on trophies won like most folks here believe. Most people here will tell u Mikel deserve to win it because he won AFCON. Like I said in my earlier posts, Asamoah Gyan won it in 2010 without winning any trophy for his team (club or country). Also Adebayor and Okocha won it without winning any trophy.

The BBC award normally goes in favor of a player that performs exceptionally outstanding in AFCON if the award is given in an AFCON year. Note me using the word exceptionally outstanding. But they also consider when a player is equally outstanding in top club football. This Justifies Jay Jay Okocha winning it in 2003 and 2004 (I know Nigeria came out as 3rd).

As for Kotongo, he was the captain of the Zambia national team in AFCON 2012 and he scored 2 vital goals for them, he was outstanding during the 2012 nations cup, he was named player of the tournament. I mean there was no other player that really matched him and Yaya was not that outstanding in club football like he is now. Is Mikel our outstanding player in AFCON 2013? I don't think so, it was a team effort and if I was to pick a player that was really outstanding it was Emenike.

As for Andre Ayew, he scored 13 goals for Marseile in 2010/11 season helping them to 2nd place. He then continued that form in 2011/2012 scoring 16 goals. ( U can't deny that goals win u games and when u score goals u definitely get more points).

As for Gyan, Ghana lost to Egypt in AFCON final but Gyan was the player of the tournament. He scored 3 out of Ghana's 4 goals, he carried Ghana to the final. He continued that in the world cup scoring 3 goals. (Goals really does matter). He was the player of the tournament in 2010 AFCON, so a deserved winner. He also scored 13 goals for Sunderland in 2010/11 season.

This year, Yaya didn't perform well in AFCON, but Mikel was not the player of the tournament either and he scored 0 goals. Based on club performance, Yaya scored 9 goals in 42 appearance for man city from midfield in 2011/12. This season he has already scored 7 in 14 appearance. Ok maybe its not fair to judge them by goals scored. Based on gameplay and importance to the team, Yaya murders Mikel because Yaya is a vital player in Man city (Would play in any top team) while Mikel is a squad player in Chelsea.

Now based on votes, more reason Mikel will not win it. Votes are counted based on country and Nigeria having 2 candidates will do Mikel more harm than good. Lets say in Nigeria 40% votes Mikel, 30% Moses and 20% Yaya and the remaining 10% shared by the rest, then Mikel wins Nigeria which will be counted as 1 point. Now voting in Ghana, lets say Mikel wins 30%, Moses 20%, Yaya 40%, rest 10%. Clearly Yaya wins, if Nigeria had only Mikel then Mikel would probably get 50% instead if 30. That is how the voting is done, so having 2 candidates from Nigeria is really not a good thing.

striker9: That's Nigerians for you,I remember its used to be Alex Song vs Mikel,na wa for some people ooooooo.

Nobody is saying Mikel is a bad player. I don't know about those analysing his mistakes, every player makes mistakes. But let's not run away from the truth here, Yaya is a better player . I wish for Mikel to win it, but if Yaya was a Nigerian and the award goes to Mikel (assuming Mikel is not a Nigerian), how would u folks feel? Mikel is a very good player, but Yaya is superior. Yaya would walk into the first 11 of any team, u can't say that for Mikel.

Gabassin: Toure and pitropa won nothing last season naaa, bside mikel and moses won sumtin, afcon and earopa league.and dey are till doin fyn nw.

i cant remember adebayor winning anything in 2007, or asamoah gyan winning anything in 2010. Also J. J Okocha did not win anything in 2003-2004. These are few of the players that have won the bbc African player of the year without winning any silverware. So bro, it is called player of the year and not team of the year. It is meant to pick the best individual player in the continent and not based on team. Right now the most outstanding player Africa got is yaya toure
Sports / Re: Mikel And Victor Moses Nominated For BBC African Footballer Of The Year Award by elektra80: 10:13am On Nov 12, 2013
I think we all already know who the deserved winner is, sentiments apart. If some Nigerians can agree that Yaya Toure is the deserved winner then no doubt he should win it. If u ask 10 Nigerians who should win, 6 would probably say Mikel and 2 would say Moses and 2 Yaya. That is a good point for Yaya considering its Nigeria. Now go outside Nigeria, Africa this time around and ask 10 people.. 7 would probably pick Yaya Toure and Mikel and Moses would share 3 votes. Now go out of Africa and to the rest of the world, ask 10 people and all 10 would pick Yaya Toure.

You are so right. Same thing happened in BBA the chase, I knew no Nigerian would win it when 2 Nigerians made it to the top 5. Votes will be divided into 2.

Emmadani: u just dey arrant poo

He is right, we won based on team effort. If the African player of the year is based on individual player's talent, then the winner is clearly Yaya Toure. Take Mikel to Man city he will be on the bench, or take him to Bayern he will be in the reserves. Take Yaya Toure to any team he will be a starter.
Sports / Re: Mikel And Victor Moses Nominated For BBC African Footballer Of The Year Award by elektra80: 8:52am On Nov 12, 2013
In all honesty, if its based on performance then only one player deserves to win it and that is Yaya Toure. This is a player that has been in tremendous form and he will walk into any top team and become a starter. He even scores free kicks for fun these days.
Sports / Re: It's Keshi Turning Eagles To A Mafia? Discuss by elektra80: 8:33am On Nov 12, 2013
I wonder what ur point is here. It is never possible for one person to satisfy everyone. There will always be criticism no matter what. For the first time in many years we see the super eagles playing fluid football. In fact Since the class of 1994 the super eagles have been playing badly. Now Keshi comes in, chooses his players and we now see super eagles playing with a purpose, and what do u do? Criticise him? C'mon give him some credit. Even though we lost in the confedration cup ( You didn't expect us to win it did u?) We played against Spain who are the world champions, played against Uruguay who has one of the best strike force in world football today (Cavani, Suarez, Forlan) and we gave them a run for their money, even without our best striker in Emenike.

In a team there will always be squad players, that is what makes the team click. I don't see anything wrong with the players u listed. Uduamadi has been playing well, Shola Ameobi is not a starter. There is no automatic shirt for those lads, they have to work hard to earn it , and how would they earn it if they are not played? That is what Keshi is doing. At the end if someone is not fit to play he will be dropped. I wonder what u were expecting Keshi to do, u expect him to play the same set of players that have failed us for sevaral years? the likes of Martins, Nsofor, Odemwingie, Taiye Taiwo? You should know that for several years now, since the era of Kanu and J.J Okocha Nigeria has not produced a single outstanding player. Yes we have good average players but we have not produced an outstanding player and that is why no Nigerian has won the african player of the year in a long time. We are no longer the giant of Africa as lots of people believe we are. Currently ur best players are Mikel ( Not a started in Chelsea), Moses (Not fit to start for Chelsea), Emenike (Not in a top European Club), Vincent Enyeama (Plays for Lille, not a top European Club even though he has been outstanding).

I think u should let Keshi do his job and leave criticism alone.
Car Talk / Re: Is It Always Financially Wise To Follow Dealers' Advice On Car Maintenance? by elektra80: 6:45am On Nov 12, 2013
I will never take my car to dealership unless if its under warranty. Even in the states, a lot of people don't take their car to dealership unless when they are under warranty. They are rip offs. I remember earlier this year I was having a problem with my 2005 accord. There was a knocking sound when u rev above 5,000rpm and the gear won't change from 1-2 without revving unusually high, same thing when changing from 2-3. I took it to Honda place at opebi road Ikeja. First thing they did was scan the car (I have a scanner myself and I already know the codes that will be thrown ). They didn't even test drive the car, they only scanned it and gave me a bill. Then they said after fixing all what was thrown and the car still didn't perform well then they will change the engine. u will be amazed by the bill they gave me, they virtually wanted to change everything sensor even the ones that didn't throw any code. They even listed ECU and pogramming which is a total of 90,000naira. To cut the long story short, the bill they gave me was 420,000 naira. No guaranty that the car will be OK because they are not opening the engine (the engine was shorting oil and giving a knocking sound, some folks I gave the car misused it while I was outside the country). They told me after they finish the preliminary work and they still hear the sound then they will open or probably change the engine which is additional 350k. I knew quite sure that all those things they listed will not stop the engine from shortening oil, they themselves knew that. As if that is not enough, it will take 2-4 weeks before my car would be ready. What did I do? I paid them 10,000 naira for scanning and took my car to my mechanic, went to ladipo and got a tokunbo engine for 180k. Replaced a few sensors for about 30k, changed abs sensors for 20k. I didn't change ECU like Honda recommended and some of the parts they wanted to change already came with the tokunbo engine. At the end of the day I spent about 250k to fix the car and its working perfectly . Honda would have charged me about 750k.

Most of these so called fuel savers are waste of money. They haven't really been proven, though I don't know which particular one u are talking about. If 1L of fuel gives u 15km, that means u average 150km with 10L. That is a really good mpg and I see no reason u should be installing any fuel saver.

P1325, P1300, P1305 has to do with ur ignition system. It can be as simple as changing ur coils or can be very complex as ECU problem. Start with the simple things first. Check ur EFI fuse in ur fuse box. If its check then change ur coils and plugs and see the result.

For 0325, its probably the knock sensor and its usually located under the intake manifold. Get it cleaned first and if the code doesn't go away, then change it. I hope I am able to help
Car Talk / Re: Automatic Transmission: Do Their Benefits Outweigh Their Issues? by elektra80: 8:13pm On Nov 07, 2013
tpacalipse: thank you jare. Some people just think they can talk. I used to drive a Toyota Corolla 1978 model with manual tranny. I drove it till 2004 then I dump the car. I bought my camry automatic because I wanted auto. I hate the manual tranny like shiit. My parents left manual cars for auto. My mom was driving the old vw beetle. She later drove the 78 corolla before I took it from her. She bought her Benz W123 in 2000 with auto tranny, and since then the car has never had a single issue and mind you, the car is well driven. We have another volvo 740 GL 1983 model with auto tranny, bought in 2001 and still going strong now. The tranny has only just stated leaking oil. Well driven car, mind you. We have used a Toyota sienna for two yrs before we lost it to armed robbers. A cool auto car well driven and had no issue till it was stolen at gun point. I just got a C 200 w202 1997 model for my mom with auto tranny. It drives well and it is now about 4 months old. Though I have had issues with my own camry, but I can categorically say the issue came with it from USA and I was unlucky with mechanic. I intend to buy an E350 very soon with auto tranny. I won't touch a manual, it ain't just my type and do not think we who won't touch it are copying. Copying who? Who the hell are you people driving manual trannies are not copying? Did not a car exist in Europe before Nigeria? Then may be u too are copying the Europeans.

+10 for u. Why should we be forced to drive manual just because some James Bond wanna be find it fun. One man's food is another man's poison. I'll save my energy for better things rather than engaging clutch and shifting sticks. Give me a manual any day i will still drive it like a pro. Ask me to make a choice i will choose automatic.

Car Talk / Re: What Car Speed Can You Comfortably Maintain? by elektra80: 4:36pm On Nov 06, 2013

What's the matter with 100km/h, is it so unattainable that it cannot be achieved in 6secs, in a non-super-car Mercedes? That's not super car number, because an '09 Toyota Camry v6 will hit 100km/h in 6secs, with good traction...

I didn't say 0-100 in 6 secs is not attainable by non sports cars. I was trying to make a correction based on what Siena's interpretation of jagermeister's post. He was talking about 0-100km/hr and Siena thought he was talking top speed.
Car Talk / Re: What Car Speed Can You Comfortably Maintain? by elektra80: 2:43pm On Nov 06, 2013

^^^ Come on Jaeger! Are you saying only supercars can hit 62 mph?? There are hardly any cars these days - including 1.0 litre 60 hp engined-ones that won't top 90 mph (145 km/h).

If you truly believe only supercars can attain (and maintain) 62 mph, then you've got a lot to learn about cars!

I would stop digging yourself in any deeper, say you were wrong, apologise for your outburst and move on.

I think what jager meant was 0-100km/hr in 6 secs. We all know even a bajaj motorcycle have hit a speed of 120km/hr.
