akpumping7720:Did BAT not support GEJ of the PDP against Nuhu Ribadu of ACN, his own party, in 2011? Or you were not adult enough to know that? |
stuffs2002:Oga, who is the hypocrite between us here please? Obi’s assets are well documented in all public spaces. Show us your evidence of your oga’s assets, as evidence that you are not being hypocritical. At least you can mention one or two businesses attached to his name, that he has publicly admitted. |
sreamsense:When a country continues to reject a particular set of people, do you want to force them to remain in that country? |
Chucks13:Shame don catch you today. Small boy wey dem born around year 2005, we dey talk of 2003. If Obi is a liar, what will you call your oga, who made too many promises and never delivered? |
Burob:Shame no even catch you sef with this very weak defence? APC supporters, in the face of proven facts, are known to flee! |
Burob:Captain of a winning team, how is it that poverty and misery pervade the land? Or do you have any more policy ideas to relieve Nigerians of their endless misery, than the mediocrity that is presently experienced? |
Chucks13:I have told you that I am old enough to be your father. Ask your questions with decorum and answers will be given to you clearly. Do not fail to answer my own questions, as evidence that you were of age as of 2003, otherwise you mechie nka nka onu gi. You must be the NECO boy, as your likes fill this space daily. |
Burob:Do not attempt to confuse yourself with English. Moving from one party to another is termed “political metamorphosis” to you. So with two legs in two parties, Wike is engaging in “political metamorphosis” right? Or the likes of Sheriff, Diri, Adeleke, etc, engaged in “political metamorphosis” when the left PDP to APC, while Obi’s case was what again? Your man became the political what, having moved from AD to AC, ACN and APC? Your man, while in ACN, left his presidential candidate in his party in 2011, to support GEJ. What do you call that? Maybe I can help you name it. Do you like “political ashawoism”? |
Chucks13:Maybe you do not know that I am old enough to be your father. What do you want to know or discuss about politics in Nigeria from 1999 till date? Or you probably want to ask about far earlier dates. Or you probably want to tell me who has better knowledge about Obi’s leadership in Anambra state than you. Follow your ozuguzugu eyes man without asking questions please. |
ChiefOloye:No dey lie for yasef! |
Burob:Have a little bit of shame bros. BAT moved from AD to AC and then ACN and then APC. What do you call that? Na so una go dey lie for una self. If you call Atiku a criminal, what do you want to call your oga? We all know that decamping is the stock in trade of all politicians in Nigeria. We all know that teaming up with other parties to win elections is the what Nigerian politicians are known for. Why not criticize governors and NASS members who have severally decamped and now nestled in the APC? Or did BAT not team up too? |
stuffs2002:BAT man, why not remove the log in your eye before attempting that in another person’s. Placing your man side by side with Peter Obi, can you tell us whose sources of wealth are easily identifiable and verifiable? As we speak today, your man is stupendously wealthy and yet, no one can point a finger at a business tagged to his name. If he is “fit” to rule this country, can you please explain how us is better positioned to rule the country? So far, we have seen how poverty and hardship have been shared like food among the citizens since 2003. When you talk, please add verifiable facts. That’s why your man said “na statistics we go chop” and you all fell, hook, line and sinker. Today, after the damages caused by him, he has turned to the same statistics that you all joined him to criticize Obi about. Show us evidence that Obi dodged primaries, not forgetting to tell us the party involved with verifiable facts and dates. Show us the weakness with Obi, who with a smaller party which he joined in less than one year, defeated oga right in his backyard. |
ChiefOloye:“Then he should go back to LP…” What!!! Can you tell us or show us evidence or proof that Mr. Peter Obi left Labour Party to join any other party? Oga, please can you go back to bed? |
ChiefOloye:Sorry bro, but it is people like you who have supported certain greedy politicians to bring the nation to its knees. If you followed the politics of 2022 and 2023 without a biased mind, you would have found that Obi, very willing to contest his presidency on the platform of PDP, was pushed out by Wike and his gang. Take away that greedy Wike move and think that if the PDP presidency was ceded to the SE as expected, what would have stopped Obi from contesting the primaries, knowing that there were others in the party interested in the slot? Obi left and a platform was offered to him. Where did you and others like you learn that Obi was not willing to contest in any party primary? Did he not contest the APGA primaries of 2003 and win? Where have you heard Obi mentioning to people his intention to contest the Presidency on the platform of ADC? If you have been following the events of ADC since the middle of this year, can you tell us at which point Obi mentioned his intention to as little as become a member of ADC? Have you not heard him repeatedly say that he is a faithful card carrying member of the Labour Party? By the way, without primaries, how can candidates be determined, knowing that by law, INEC must monitor them to ensure compliance. It is within the rights of parties to choose who leads them and their flag bearers. If you took your time, you would have noticed that when Governor Adeleke joined Accord party, they held their primaries on the 10th of December, making him their candidate. Why not accuse him as you accused Obi of not contesting the primary against any candidate? APC candidates in the same Osun state met with BAT a few days ago and they all stepped down for Oyebanji. Was that wrong? When Omisore was pushed aside, why not accuse Oyebanji of having the fear to contest the primaries against Omisore? Why not lament that no one contested against Oyebanji? Or you just choose which of the differen sides suits your opinion? Politicians do their calculations and permutations. They do their readings and projections. Ours is to carefully watch and make the right choices. |
Atiku is always the spoiler. He has no business contesting in 2027, just as he had no business contesting in 2023. He appears like someone working secretly in agreement with BAT to spoil the chances of any other southern candidate. Atiku and Rotimi Amaechi can continue to hold on to ADC, while trying their very best to scatter the votes of other southern candidates. When it is time, everyone will find out Obi’s preferred political platform. |
Who will help APC Lagos state heal from the wound inflicted on them in 2015 by Obi. They have still not believed it and they still have not woken up from the punch that they were given by the electorate in Lagos. Obi moved on after the Supreme Court judgement and APC Lagos has continued to suffer the pain of their knock out punch. Who will advise APC Lagos to move on and prepare for 2027 which is less than two years away? |
officialmario:He got the best advise, in view of the events within the PDP. Most of you are not aware that Accord party is an offshoot of PDP. Those who do not find the required spaces, defect to Accord to win their seats and then return to PDP. ADC is not a better option in anyway. Sadly, the promoter of ADC needed to leverage on Peter Obi’s popularity to forge ahead. With no Obi, ADC is in a mess. If LP was better organized, that would have been the best option for Governor Adeleke in the circumstance. Now he has the job of promoting Accord party within Osun state. It may sound heculean considering that APC is on ground, however, the entire PDP structure in Osun state will collapse into Accord to help Governor Adeleke fight and retain power. He is the leader of PDP in the state and definitely got the approval of every faction of PDP to decamp to Accord. ADC with Aregbesola has many hurdles to face and even if Adeleke decamped there, PDP would not have backed him. Again, with Onisore schemed out of events in APC Osun state, he may demand his pound of flesh by getting his supporters to stand with Governor Adeleke. I hope you understand the permutation? |
Kemetian:Are we talking history or government? Young man, when they say bad governments, they simply mean bad leaderships. Good leaderships produce good governments and good people. Good governments bring good societies and make living worth it for the people. Is life worth living for Nigerians presently with the way the country is? While you are harping on “PLUNDER OF WEALTH”, you myopically overlook the same wealth stolen endlessly by your leaders and deposited in the accounts of better developed countries. By the way, do not delve into history, as you absolutely know nothing about what you talked about. You cannot rely on Chatgpt to give you historical facts that it cannot give to you. Go and do your research. It takes years of study to talk history. There you were up there, talking and quoting what you know nothing about. No be only South Africa and Namibia, na Vietnam and Cambodia. |
So we have troops to deploy to another country, while the same government talks about shortage of security personnel in the country. The same government that withdrew policemen from VIPs, has security personnel to deploy to another country. While not remove the log in your eye before taking off the one in another person’s? Why not get more troops to troubled areas of this country to ensure complete peace in the country? Insecurity in our country plays a major role in poverty and hunger in the nation, with terrorists and bandits claiming large swaths of lands in the country. |
mrvitalis:Absolutely she had no right to do that to the governor who was her host. Without her status as the wife of the President, would she have done that? Would she have tried that with Wike as a governor, or even the governor of Kano or Borno states? Would she have done that when she was a Senator? It was absolutely disrespectful. The governor was happy with her presence and was definitely entertaining her, the Ooni and other guests. |
fergie001:I think Senator Natasha Akpoti may use ADC as her next platform, if PDP fails to put its house in order within the next one year. |
sparko1:This your second paragraph exposes you as either a young secondary school leaver, or lacking in understand of government, governance and the officials in charge. If you had a little knowledge, you would have clearly understood the roles of the different arms of government and the officials running them. That would have prevented you from making that ignorance comment of yours. A little more knowledge only would have told you that everything distributed by the honorable member fall into what is termed “constituency projects” and they are budgeted for also by the National Assembly, where he works as a member of the house of assembly. It is not the business of the member of the house to fix the roads. That is the business of the federal, state and local governments. It is his business to attract federal projects to his area of constituency and with his approved budgetary provision, embark on such as he did to make life better for the citizens. If he built schools, people like you would have criticized the structure. |
benardtotti:So one and half years of Yaradua and four years from 2011-2015, by your calculation is eight? Even aboki iron condemn does better mathematics than yours. |
sparko1:That’s the constitutional role of local governments. There are streets known as local government streets. The job of LG includes building health centers and recreational facilities. All the projects are budgeted for, just like the states. Even if the Kekes are shared among associates, as long as they are used to make their living, the member of rep has done well. |
Soldiers have appeared on Benin’s state television and announced the dissolution of the government in an apparent coup. The group, which called itself the Military Committee for Refoundation, announced the removal of President Patrice Talon and all state institutions. They also said all borders have been closed and political parties suspended. https://aje.io/75eyre |
FreeStuffsNG:Agreed with you for once. First she’s a serving member of the Edo state house of assembly. Next, she’s just put to birth, a very healthy and bouncing baby girl, etc. I think Tuface and his wife should file defamation charges against this fellow. His comment is absolutely vexatious. If they had personal issues that went public, that’s their business. Public personalities must be allowed to live their private lives too. |
LibertyRep:Very unserious resolution. They deliberately avoided the pressing issue that they convened the meeting for. As usual, it was all about pooling funds that some persons will be be up stealing. Why not talk about immediately constituting a regional security team? Why not talk about collaborating with the south and the FG to effectively end banditry? Why not talk about putting a permanent end to open grazing? These governors and leaders must stop dancing to the Fulani music and forcefully bring an end to terrorism and wanton looting of natural resources found in the north. |
Alaefulu:If you claim that you do not want terrorism in your country, why not tighten your own borders? Why allow terrorists and nomadic herdsmen roam freely nationwide, causing chaos everywhere they go? Can you not see that hypocrisy is APC supporters telling other countries that their borders are porous, while our own country has uncountable routes in and out of the country? Apparently you do not understand the word “genocide”. Perhaps you need to visit affected areas in the north to have a first hand experience. |
“ He said the government’s sudden “flurry of activity after Trump’s remarks” exposed its earlier lack of urgency”. Even with that, there’s no urgency. All theatrics. The security emergency declared will lead to nowhere. This country suffers horrible leadership endlessly. |
Oh yes, this case. What a shame. Two youth lives lost because of the greed and desperation of one of them. The only child gone. |
DomPerignon:Oga armchair lawyer, if you understood what the law was on such matters, you’d throw sentiments away and face it squarely. We are talking about about the reality, looking at existing legal perspectives and there you are getting sentimental. So if he met his accused in the bedroom, he would have killed him, right? Probably you expected murder to enable you justify a very obvious wrong act. I advise you to save the story and take it to a lawyer around you and discuss it, seeking his opinion. |
themanderon:Wetin you kuku know? If you knew “rubbish”, you would have made a better observation and comment. |
