The north lived for many years on the assumption that their "friendship" with Britain/West, gives them an everlasting diplomatic edge/guarantee to lord themselves over others in Nigeria. That wrong impression basically turned them into a platoon of arrogant zenophobes.. Made them proclaim themselves as the "born to rule". Made them feel they're some sort of politically invisibles...
It's unravelling.., at a great speed too.

In diplomacy, there are no permanent friends and certainly no permanent enemies. By their inability to reinvent themselves culturally to fit the demands of this century, the fulani stock has made itself an agent of destabilisation and a cause of ceaseless conflicts across the length and breath of sub saharan Africa. A thief hates noise. The fulani makes too much noise. That does not help the west to loot peacefully.., so they have to be discarded..

And the minister said that she would not know the difference between a Fulani and other tribes. Maybe he needs to be reminded that all over the world, when a northwesterner speaks, he is instantly identified, among other ways.

The minister tried to use what is called “ogboju”, in the face of the stark truth.

Sadly, Muslims and those of other religious faith have been targeted. However, a close look reveals the amount of damage and intimidation done to the Christians.

Look at the composition of the Presidency. We have for the first time in the history of this country, a Muslim President and a Muslim Vice President. Indpite of all noises made, the man insisted. Inspite of the President’s own disclaimer years ago, he insisted. I suspect that with this challenge by the same powers that arm our country militarily, the seat of the VP may be given to a Christian at the next election.

The President may be moved by this external pressure, but do not expect the northern leaders, who have been accused of backing this national wickedness and destruction, to admit the truth. Their fear is that focus is now on the north, and in the unlikely event of the deployment of troops to help out, their source of illegitimate wealth would be taken away.

We must all agree that the present destruction is way beyond the capacity of the FG. Daily ISWAP, Boko Haram, herdsmen and others bring in their kin to join in this wickedness. Why must the FG pretend and keep quiet? Now they have once again started kidnapping school children and FG tells us that kidnapping has been curtailed and limited to Sambisa and Lake Chad areas. Are those territories not Nigerian? We must all agree to have external help to restore peace and order. That is our only escape route to liberation.

If human lives mattered to the likes of Adefarasin, they would have commented, seeing the clear murders committed in that CAC church in Kwara state. Or did you not watch that trending video?

The truth is that politicians ruined this country and the reputation before the eyes of everyone, locally and internationally.

While the IG and NSA are busy travelling, terrorists and bandits continue with their evil jobs, getting more daring. Rather than hold that discussion, why not even contract mercenaries to complement the efforts of government, if any, to flush out these evil people? What’s the business of government with negotiating with evil persons who are bent on destroying lives, communities and properties? While government continues to live in self deceit, these evil people take over communities, kill innocent citizens, take over lands, exploit the mineral resources there and fund their arms with monies realized from the sales. Meanwhile government focuses all attention on all and gas, while northern leaders control that sector. What an irony.

Did you watch that video at all? I advise you to watch the video without bias and state where OBJ called Fayose a thief. Watch it again and state where Fayose’s wife was called immature. You apparently have not watched or listened. OBJ acknowledged and praised the efforts of Fayose at the event and told him clearly that he had forgiven him finally. That should have ended the matter. It was NO for Fayose, who wanted to carry on with the spirit of Wike, just because OBJ reminded him of his past misdeeds. The poultry farm that got Fayose into trouble, OBJ warned him against it that year. We all heard it. When he contested the Ekiti elections against greats like Afe Babalola and Femi Falana in 2003, the same OBJ supported him, as his fellow party man. Afe Babalola was and is still a personal friend of OBJ. Fayose’s. name was unknown. We saw how Fayose called them all, prostrated openly and begged them after winning the election. He turned around later to abuse them all!

For your information, when Fayose’s wife put that call across to OBJ and he addressed her, she accepted the fact as it was and begged for forgiveness. If maturity is to be talked about, how can you address a man who watched his own son, who by the way is about the same age as OBJ, threaten to throw out his own mother without a single word said about it so far? Would his own mother have insulted a very accomplished man as OBJ that way?

What was Fayose thinking when he knew in his heart that his quarrel with OBJ was not over, and then invited the man to his celebration? Which bridge was he trying to build? By the way, it was Fayose himself long before now, who had repeatedly called OBJ a thief. He stated sometime ago that OBJ was sitting on stolen funds. He queried how OBJ built Obasanjo farms. What he did not know was that OBJ never needed public funds in those days to build his farm in Ota. The story of that farm is public. Except the blind Ayo and his naive supporters, everyone knew before 1980 under his “operation feed the nation”, that OBJ was a man on intergrity.

I have long followed OBJ and Ayo Fayose. You know nothing about them both please. If Ayo felt aggrieved, he was the one who should have privately registered his disagreement, seeing that he invited the old man to his occasion. He even shamelessly stated that he sent money to OBJ. It meant that he even bribed the man to be part of his celebration. The man did not even as little touch the bag containing his bribe money. Shame on Ayo Fayose.

What was wrong with that observation? What’s wrong with making other ports economically functional? Why should seaports be built in other parts of the nation and not put to use? What’s wrong with ensuring that Warri seaport which is open directly to the sea, is put to use? Maybe you do not know that vessels find navigation into the berths easier and cheaper at those seaports than the Lagos seaport. Even Dangote’s is easier to operate for vessels than the Apapa and Tincan seaports.

Why should people from other parts of the country continue to pay more to have their goods delivered to their areas, to the benefit of one state that continues to reap all the benefits? Even the Governor of Lagos is working hard to open the Badagry seaport to the advantage of Lagos.

Why should Delta state not enjoy revenue from seaports established long ago in the state? Calabar seaport is there wasting away. Nigeria has six established seaports, not to talk of other terminals that bring all to over twenty. Of all, preference has been given to Apapa and Tincan seaports over the years. That’s one of the things that make Lagosians claim that their state is more developed than other. Why should they be blamed? Why not allow all the ports to thrive? Help other areas grow their economies and ensure proper development of states. Why not allow vessels to arrive at those seaports too and generate revenue for the host states.

The greedy SA was representing Lagos state, knowing that NPA would cause Lagos state serious loss of revenue. He was right to defend the state. So also others are right to defend their states, as everyone wants growth and develop.

That congestion in Lagos started years ago, with the carefree attitude of the state. NPA can be blamed for poor handling inside the ports, but you cannot blame them for bad road management. That’s the job of the FG and the state. With the positioning of two seaports in that area, Apapa LG and Lagos state government make tons of money from ticketing the trucks, etc. Why not fix the roads and decongest traffic there? They watched the road deteriorate from the nineties and the result became what we saw. NPA should not take the blame for trying to make all their seaports functional and getting more generating revenue from them all.

The advantage to traders in the south south and south east, is less cost of transportation to the final destination. Who will not be happy about that?

OBJ forgave him absolutely. OBJ stated that when Fayose’s wife called, he told her their error and she admitted. That was very good on the part of the woman. OBJ then said that he had completely forgiven them. That he brought up the issues in contention, did not mean that the man wanted them to continue the quarrel. Fayose did not show wisdom and maturity. It was Fayose himself who did not have forgiveness in his heart. If he was purged completely of his anger, he would rather have made jokes out of Baba’s comment and moved on with their new found peace.

Put the blame on the table of Fayose. Presently there’s fire in his own father’s house. As the first son, he has not quenched it. If he cannot deal with the small matter between him and his siblings, how can he deal with the matter outside his father’s house? Ayo Fayose needs to check himself.

OBJ was on his own. Fayose knowing who OBJ was, could not directly give him the invitation, but chose Osita, a political son of OBJ to do it. When OBJ arrived, they all were very excited, forgetting that Baba at his age, has been working hard to see a better country. OBJ openly told the truth that we all heard several times in the news. Fayose was standing, transfixed and could not say peeem!

Now after the occasion, he found his insultive voice again. It is too late to cry when the head is off. Sorry sir.

By the way, why does Mr. Fayose overlook his brother Isaac? Can he not tackle Isaac who has been washing their dirty family linen publicly?

I remember his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, warning him some months ago. He reacted negatively to the advise of his lawyer on his conduct.

A simple look at the OP would reveal that he is an APC supporter. Notice that APC supporters, the same who lamented their landslide defeat of Soludo/APGA in 2023, rather than lament the defeat of Nicolas Ukachukwu/APC in that same election, chose to attack Obi who was not on that ballot. The blind followers did not bother to mention the name of Moughalu, who was contesting.

Choosing to attack Obi further exposes how confused and obsessed they are with Obi in the country. They all know that the greatest challenge that Tinubu faces is Peter Obi.

We now see that APC lay claim over the victory of Soludo and APGA. For them, anything goes, as long as Obi is made to lose. They are so pained that Obi defeated Tinubu at his own backyard in 2023, without spending shishi. OP maybe did not hear of how money was used heavily to purchase votes and victory in the election. Is it not clear that the ruling party has become the opposition party on their own?
