“ According to CBN figures covering January to June 2025, Nigeria’s medical tourism spending plunged by 96.2 percent year-on-year, falling from $2.38 million in the first half of 2024 to just $0.09 million in the corresponding period of 2025. The sharp contraction, amounting to a $2.29 million decline, marks one of the steepest drops recorded in outbound healthcare expenditure in recent years”. Truly this APC government specializes in lies and propaganda. CBN only just used the total of applications through their payment systems to confuse their blind and bewitched followers. So to them, Nigeria with a population of close to 250 million people made forex application of a mere $2.38m for medicals abroad? With all the leaders, business people and rich civil servants traveling frequently, a mere $2.38m would suffice for hospital visits abroad? If $2.38m was the amount applied for in 2024, how did the CBN not factor in transactions between citizens and abokis/bureau de changes? Or they want to tell us that people did not purchase forex from those sources, knowing the delays experienced with purchasing from government and the slim gap in exchange rate? Which public officer would ever bother to purchase forex from government with looted funds, to travel abroad with their family members for treatment? If that same amount fell to 0.9, who says that citizens have not been purchasing their forex outside the CBN? How many of the good hospitals are accessible to all Nigerians? By the way, are the same hospitals not charging the same amounts or more than those abroad? For example, kidney transplant in Nigeria costs over N50 million, when you aggregate dialysis and transplant. How many can afford it? There’s a very long queue for that and the wealthy who do not trust local hospitals and do not want to waste time, travel abroad. Do they purchase their forex from CBN? |
Akpakomiza2:Only watch and see! |
Validated:His overconfidence is his destruction. He seemed to have forgotten that he has an axe to grind with the supporters of Peter Obi, who were cheated at the polls in the last elections. He seemed to have forgotten that the same man will be on the ballot in Rivers state in 2027. Aside from facing Fubara at the primaries, he will be facing ADC in Rivers state in 2027. ADC is more formidable than LP. He should be told that his political destruction does not lie only in Fubara’s hands. Whoever Wike chooses may not go down well with other candidates. Magnus Abe for one is eyeing the seat. Amaewhule is definitely eyeing the seat. Tonye Cole who also eyes the seat, stands on the court decision and claims to be the leader of the other faction of APC. Infact, if there’s no settlement, the entire APC process would be truncated even after an unlikely victory. On the eve of the 2023 elections, Wike employed 200,000 SAs with the intention of ensuring that they all voted to at least secure their votes. Rivers state which normally would deliver well over one million votes, fell far short. I am certain that 2027 will see a different Rivers state at the polls, with the entrance of ADC. Wike’s excesses will finally be his achilles heel at the next elections. Most citizens who loved him have turned to dislike his arrogant disposition. I expect Wike/APC to be defeated in 2027, just as I believe that Sheriff/Ibori/Okowa/APC will be defeated in Delta state in 2027. |
MoneyMan5:What is the meaning of sagacity please? |
Omowale2023:Definitely an APC supporter. That’s the only place you find amebos! |
KingOfAmebo:Well, as king of amebo, na only amebo you go fit to dey do. While action dey go on, please continue with amebo work. |
As you get mind, person wey get mind pass you dey. If you decide to carry gun shoot, person we fit carry gun shoot pass you dey. The man sef na real funny thief. Na electric pole be the road wey e go find to run or bush. As e get mind climb electric pole to run, person wey don be palm tree climber with mind follow am up. The follow up beating wey dem dey give am no be here. |
DenreleDave:Oil is not the issue for now. It is true that the Americans intend to assert dominance in that region, as President D. Trump appears to apply the Monroe doctrine in that region. That doctrine serves to assert the USA dominance over South/North America and that hemisphere. You can simply research on the Cuban missile crisis of 1962 or so. However, the principal issue is drug related. The Americans have endured many years of making the country the drug hub for countries bordering the USA. Presidents ahead of Trump did not deal with it decisively. Fentanyl particularly has been a major issue killing many Americans and citizens of other countries in thousands daily. Venezuela is a major exporter and Maduro, who was arrested overnight with his wife, was accused of been a heavy facilitator and beneficiary of the drug trade. Maduro in November was given the option of vacating the Presidency and the reward of safe passage, along with his wife and son. He turned it down and at the best asking for a long period to hold fresh elections. The bombing has ended with his arrest and extradition to the USA this morning to face charges of drug exportation to the USA. Maduro is a repetition of what has happened to another President previously. Manuel Noriega of Panama was arrested, extradited to the USA, tried and jailed for 40 years in 1990. To achieve that, the Americans invaded Panama. Maduro and his wife now will be tried and jailed in America. Venezuela holds the world’s largest proven oil reserves. The Americans enter bargains, especially with Trump to get part of your country’s rare earth minerals, in return for protection. However, that is not the case for now. The important reasons as I presume are: 1. Regime change. 2. Control of the South American territory 3. End drug export to America 4. Stop migration of South Americans to America I hope I have given you a little insight into the matter. |
OnyeObowo1:I may just agree with you. Knowing that PDP was in a huge hole, Ihedioha left early to pursue his ambition on another platform. Doing his political calculations, he realized that Obi’s platform would further help him achieve his ambition. Ihedioha chose wisely. However, the Imo state governorship election will not hold the same day as the Presidential election. Hopefully, ADC should win seats in the National Assembly, if elections are held the same day with the Presidential election. Now that the National Assembly is looking at holding all elections on the same day, parties like ADC would have bigger and brighter chances. |
God1000:Better to trust the power of your native doctor. Or do you not have any? You can also ask your Ayatollah to find a clue, rather than planning how to build nuclear weapons. Or what do you think? |
Now that PDP is in tatters, expect Senator Natasha Akpoti to join ADC. I believe that ADC already has a strong presence in Kogi state. |
Ipisi:They will field BAT. That was and is the plot. They will simply tell whatever remnants that they have to support the APC candidate. Now Lamidi and Abayomi, along with Obiora and Abure can have their party. At least they can now have some peace of mind. |
Nazgul:If that guy spoke about using a helicopter, that would be more understandable. |
GanagiBitrus:Oga, did you read any comment directly from either AJ or his representatives? Are you sure that you are not the gullible one here, jumping to your conclusion without hearing directly from the victim? Did you not read from the police, who gave another version of the story? Why not wait to hear from AJ, who by God’s mercy survived the accident? |
Burob:Did Tinubu deliver his own state in the last Presidential election? |
fergie001:Have you noticed that PDP is not on the ballot for the Abuja upcoming elections? Did you notice that Senator Ireti Kingibe decamped knowing that Obi was in his way? Do you know that ADC is on the Abuja ballot? Can you not safely say that with PDP not on the ballot, the Yinusa faction will push their supporters to team up with Nenadi Usman faction of LP, Obidients and supporters of ADC in Abuja to vote for ADC? |
Burob:Are you talking about the same Obi who delivered Lagos state to LP? The same Obi who delivered Abia state to LP? The same Obi roundly whipped Soludo and delivered Anambra state as a whole to LP? |
GanagiBitrus:If it was AJ’s narrative, then why disagree? AJ was the one in the car and the same who was injured in the resulting accident. Who else would give the right story if not him? Abi na you? The police versa Lu would have interrogated him in the hospital before arriving at the conclusion. Make una dey try to get understanding. |
Putinofrussia:You asked a question and got the exact response that should have ended it all. However, just to prove a point, you kuku fall hand by yourself with that very small pikin like question. |
Na so dem dey get mouth as if na only APC dey for Gokana LG. Obio/Akpor wey be Wike area never talk, na Victor Giadom wey manage to deliver im LG. Na so dem go dey hype person and finally fail. Presidential results 2023: GOKANA LGA APC 10,122 LP 2,115 PDP 8,484 NNPP 31 PORT HARCOURT CITY LGA APC 5,562 LP 62,451 PDP 7,203 NNPP 301 |
iwaeda:GM = Group manager GM = General manager GM = Gateman GM = Gutter man Abeg which of the above the papa do? |
The same man who as a sitting governor purchased the forms of all the members of the state and National Assembly in his state. The same man who has not so far mentioned his source of wealth. “We never saw money Governors are seeing now” So he saw money as a Governor. Anyway, that’s for his supporters to rejoice over. |
nairalanda1:In those days with Multilinks and Starcomms networks, it was unlimited data for 10k monthly. MTN, Airtel and the rest came into the game and changed the rules, limiting data usage. Other countries enjoy plenty free internet. The same also so limitless data. For Nigerians, who truly do not care, it is nothing. The providers simply rip Nigerians off while telling Nigerians that they pay the lowest. Nigerians get ripped o |
Putindbutt:Reading through that tiny portion clearly, where did you see the confirmation that 50b was paid to Oyo state? Why was the entire document not revealed? The account of Oyo state and possibly other states in that document is of interest to all Nigerians. Where is the evidence sir? |
PlayerMeji:Ah ha! You properly defined yourself with that word in your comment. A degenerate. One for that matter who is not able to read and understand? Sadly, APC is filled with such humans. Well, what do we expect when certain citizens are bewitched and made to live in squalor, with the belief that they are enjoying their lives? |
Lanretoye:If people who own businesses do not constitute nuisances online, what then are you doing? How do you want to define your activities here, as obviously you do not own a business! Who’s the empty barrel between one who has never paid tax and that person who runs his private and very successful business? Meanwhile, please remember to pay your rent to the same people, who painfully to you, are your landlords. |
Lanretoye:Is Lagos not scanty, just like Abuja and others? Do you expect the same people to attend Eyo festival, which by the way is the business of Yorubas of Lagos origin and not some wannabe Lagosians? The same people own the businesses that pay the taxes that Lagos state brings to the center. Maybe you do not know that the VAT generated at the ports are paid by the same people, who by the way are vacationing presently. |
press9jatv:And you will still buy the drinks to survive! By the way, they are having the best time of their lives in their location now. They are not having one day of fun, just like you had yesterday. They are having several days of joy, celebrations, enjoyment, festivals, feasting and drinking in all the communities of their area. While they are there, you go dey pay rent to them for your side, as una people still be tenants to them for una side. This life dey sweet ooo. |
reddingtonblack:The fellow who you quoted, absolutely in all sense does not understand what the issue is all about. By the way, Fayose was in Ibadan all those years before 2003. Aside from voyaging to the UK, he was living in Ibadan, as a middle class person. He was not outright rich. His election was partially funded by family members too. His brother Isaac, recently openly stated that his late elder sister sold her property in Ikeja and handed over the proceeds to him. He repaid her wrongly as alleged by Issac. Ayo has not come forward to disprove him. By financial payment protocols, should the President give the state governor that sum of money directly? Did that sum originate from the President’s personal purse? As a former governor, is Fayose not in the position to understand the protocols of payment between the FG and states? By the way, where would the FG get such an amount to hand over to a state, considering the fact of poor state of the economy? Seyi Makinde was one of the first to publicly declare his assets when he became the Governor of Oyo state. His asset declaration revealed him as a billionaire. We are still waiting for Wike to tell us the source of his humongous wealth. He was not known to successfully run a law business or any factory before he became a local government chairman. What’s the source of his wealth? Ordinary Nigerians will keep living in poverty and bondage with their senses of selective justice. While they support leaders who loot their collective resources, the same leaders use pittances to keep them under lock and key. Our country is in this mess today, not just because of horrible leaders, but also horrible citizens who do not understand the word “accountability”. |
kolafolabi:Do you think that the person who you quoted understood what you said? I seriously doubt his ability to understand these things! |
PlayerMeji:How can I be pained over what I advocated for several times long ago? You blind APC supporters never cease to amaze me. For you all, it is a monumental achievement, especially when you do not know how decent societies work. No be only “American collaboration”, na Niger republic collaboration. |
So Bayo Onanuga defied logic when Peter Obi made the suggestion and was told that the APC government would neither forgive him nor forget We are waiting for Bayo Onanuga to take off the shame and publicly apologize to Peter Obi. |
