Na so e be. Great man. Great leader. The only one that you can hold accountable day and night. The only one that you can trust with public funds, while you go to sleep. Obi is the man. |
Penguin2:Have you seen the name of Nenadi Usman on the INEC portal? I thought INEC was running round in circles since over the matter. Can you confirm please? |
hatchy:The word truly is “demarketing”. So far we are waiting for the denouncement of the likes of Bayo Onanuga and Reno Omokri. One recalls that the accused Peter Obi of demarketing the country when he was speaking the truth. Kemi Badenoch also spoke her mind in her experience in Shagamu and we are waiting for tribalists to respond, if they can. |
SmartPolician:If given the opportunity, the woman will even deny her tribe! She appears to hate that name Kemi, but finds it difficult to change, since she had been known with that name politically. That name must surely annoy her. She visited the same Nigeria last year and met very senior government officials. I cannot forget the heavy hailing from her people. By the way, was it so bad in Shagamu then? |
Kingpele:The effects of not losing weight when you have so much fat in you, far outweighs whatever you think that you enjoy with that bulging fat. Men also go the extra mile to have good bodies. That why you hear the famous words “six pack”! Now she can move faster. She has better strength. Her muscles are stronger. He heart, liver, kidney and stomach feel better. She has a better physical life presently. Being overweight is not synonymous with wealth. And being skinny is not synonymous with poverty. Address you weight issue today, otherwise it will wait to haunt you in the future. |
HRTOFAKNG:When we talk of DISCOs, BEDC should shut their stinking mouth. They are the worst of all the DISCOs in this country. BEDC should bow their face in shame and simply submit their license. They have never risen to the job. They failed from day one and continue to fail. |
fineboynl:No, just zero. Some of you just use Nairaland as a place to comment irresponsibly? Unfortunately it’s social media and there is no way to ask for your educational qualification before you are permitted to speak here. |
One truly cannot understand why Governors continue to make grassroots governance through LGs difficult. What should be the business of the state government, if LG truly had their autonomy? |
Zincfingers:Come on getat. What do you know? If by now, you do not know by now that cardiothoracic surgeons are among the highest earning medical officers, what else will you ever know? Or you simply just sat in your bedroom and looked at him from myopically from the LUTH salary? If you by now do not know that as few as such Doctors are, that the usually have thriving private practices, what else will you ever know? Maybe to you 20 m is as high as Mount Everest to overcome. Pray that you do not have an issue with your heart, or even someone very close to you, needing the attention of a heart surgeon in a solid private clinic. |
Same people with the Igbos. Filled with business idea, teach you growth principles. You feel their impact positively. They make living better wherever they find themselves. The Chinese also have China towns. Some yeye people never complain of China towns, whereas their leaders borrow billions in dollars from the Chinese. Their leaders have almost sold their country to China, yet Igbo matter no let them sleep. |
Harnny:You do not have the faintest idea of what you are talking about. I think you should simply watch football matches. Continue. |
TruthU87:Do no turn the truth on the head. Why did Hamas carry out such a heinous act on Oct. 7th, 2023, knowing fully well that they were going against a nuclear armed state? Where’s the false flag, when a group of irresponsible men, overran an area where people were holidaying, mass murdered and took hostages, used and still continue to use their fellow citizens as human shields? Why did Hamas embark on such a suicidal mission, seeing that breakthroughs in agreement on the required two states were not too far ahead? When you decide to fight, ensure that you do not fight the man who is stronger than you, but be careful so that you do not become a slave, by your very own making. |
Goodvibes007:And so local governments name and rename bus stops in our Nigeria, right? Can you point to how many bus stops that were name by local governments? All those Vulcaniser, Ile epo, Ile film, dustbin, last bus stop, etc were named and renamed by local governments, right? The irresponsible and clearly tribal action of the reckless and bigoted expired local government chairman should be condemned. If you set a probe against him, you may find that he looted public treasury, while serving as the chairman. |
temitope27:Palestine would be ruled by Palestinian authority (PA). They always were in opposition to Hamas. No Hamas in PA. They have never agreed. They are all Palestinians, but with different aims and visions. Unfortunately Hamas took advantage of the situation years ago and got seats in the parliament. They never meant well, just like Hezbollah. They were simply instruments in the hands of Iran. Now that other Arab nations have come forward the true position, Hamas must stop using the people as shields, while the Israelis continue with daily destruction. Hezbollah was wise when the quickly sorted themselves out with the Israelis, otherwise today, Lebanon would lay in complete ruins. Right now Iran is losing proxy power, with just the Houthis left. If the Houthis continue, attention will definitely turn to them and nothing may remain of Yemen. Iran prided itself as invincible and felt the power of Israeli weapons. They were defeated. All that they make is called “mouth”. |
To continue with more slaps at the police station. The boy go know say hand touch am. They are merciless when they have the advantage, so they do not get mercy when they are caught. Clear case of everyday for the thief, one day for the owner. Sadly, with no evidence of what he stole, he will be set free by the police. |
blamingthedevil:No be by force to belong. If people are not sure, they have the right to stay where they are without threats. By the way, is there any political party without anti party members? |
Una must get sense by force. So tay trekking with no food and even ordinary pure water. Imagine trekking from Oworonshoki to Obalende. If na beg you go beg and you no meet the person, wetin remain again. No be kpai be that? I go soon reach, I go soon reach, na kpai next. Imagine trekking from Oshodi to Mile 2, or from Mushin to Costain or from Ojuelegba to Apapa wharf. Imagine trekking from Dutse in Abuja to Secretariat. All because una vote for APC. Most members of the national trekkers association (NTA) have one thing in common…NO FOOD FOR BELLE. Many youths trek from CMS to Mushin. E no far, e no far, na to fall down for road. Continue hoping against hope. Men wey dey sleep for office, trouble dey. You leave your wife, your neighbour take over in the night. Many women get belle. Some men’s daughters and wives have been impregnated by their Neighbour’s and friends. Here, many no shishi boys no let us hear word. Kurubu here, Kurubu there. Na una sabi. |
What’s he trying to say? Lagos has a very rich history, with citizens from all parts of the nation playing their parts. However one wonders the reason for the ethnically thought idea of renaming streets. Every one in Ajegunle always knew Mba street. Everyone knew Ohikere. Everyone knew Kirikiri road. How strange it sounds now to change the names. Why not rename Broad street? They started with pulling down houses in the name of blocking drainages. Who knows? Maybe the will start changing the names of people’s houses, if that can be possible. Maybe they can start changing the names of food and the names people used to register their cars. |
Definitely in her fifties at least and probably with no means of communication. Too many possibilities. Could have been hypnotized by one man and kept in his home, using the evil powers. Perhaps also chose to cut off her family. The worst would be loss of her life in different ways, but hopefully not to those evil people with get rich quick ideas. |
Always good to remember those who did good to you, taking you up the ladder of success. Don Jazzy and Dbanj have done well and should be proud of what they achieved. |
Wickedfact:Thankfully you now realize that we control the markets. Do you realize that your own mothers and sisters beg us for little things like match sticks, pepper, onions, tomatoes and even to watch Tv. The result na belle. We dey give both mama and pikin together on behalf of baba landlord, while baba landlord begs for Tfare to go out of his own house. By the way, did you not take notice that the paint used to change the name was produced by us? The structure of the bus stop na we get? We too pass una. |
What should we expect when the leaders fail to do the right thing? |
Wickedfact:If no one should bother about who I vote for, why ask me to vote in the first place? Why the bill to force citizens to vote, if votes do not matter? See how childish and unknowledgeable you are? What difference will it make if markets are renamed? Will that reduce poverty level? Will that take away the hardship and misery that you collectively experience? You seem to forget that the same markets are dominated by the same people that you love to hate. Take them off the market and see if hungry no go kuku kpai you at once. They control the food, thr clothes, the houses, the clothes, the building materials, your electronics, your phones and even the drugs that you take. How will you survive without them? So you expect yourself to remain in this earth in 99 years? Or you expect Nigeria to remain one nation in 99 years, with your tribalism? Bros you drink shepe before commenting? |
What more truer than those words. We all know that’s correct! |
yommen:Everyone gave votes to those who they trusted. As Yorubas and Igbos gave their votes to Obi, so also they gave to Tinubu, Atiku and Kwakwanso. Or are the likes of Dele Farotimi and Aisha Yusuf Igbos to you? If tribalism no finish una life for una, nothing else fit. |
Cajal:You go and donate to a mosque based university. Obi na human being like you. He was a youth and already wealthy at that level. Rather than focus with your own life, na Obi. When your baba shouted “Yoruba lo kan”, that was a school based sentiment, right? |
ajailer:The unattractive product that you pushed down people’s throat scored 8.9 million votes, out of a population of over 200 million people. When you claim “Nigerians”, always remember that 8.9 million votes does not qualify to refer as “Nigerians”, but a section of Nigerians. Perhaps you did not read to the point where the university shut your fake job seeking fellow’s mouth, stating clearly that Obi had been silently donating to the school. Perhaps you are so blinded that you have not seen the ethnic narrative constantly driven by the irresponsible Reno Omokri, who has left his own Itsekiri garment to wear a Yoruba garment, claiming ethnic affinity and seeking a job, from the same man who he severally over the years called a drug lord. If you were proactive and reading clearly, you would have not made such an unknowledgeable comment. |
Odidigboigbo:It is still called Western Avenue. Maybe when they write in the offices, the call the name Funso Williams. We also expect them to rename Broad street Lagos. |
Wickedfact:Will you also rename people’s houses in Lagos? Will the LCDA chairman or the state governor rename buildings not owned by “indigenes”? What Dem don take tribalism finish all of una. If there are 100k streets in Lagos? There are millions of houses owned by those who are not of the Lagos tribe. Will you rename the millions of houses? Abi una go also collect am by force? They started with the story of blocking drainages. Now advanced to streets. We dey wait. When it is 2027, you will beg the same people to vote for the President of your tribe. |
Three things that Nigerian politics use to play with the heads of citizens. 1. Tribalism 2. Religion 3. Money These have been the instruments of division used since 1999. Nigerian citizens have fallen hook, line and sinker. While politicians play their game, they use the opportunity of the foolishness to loot the country dry. Now that there’s serious ethnic division, why not let the various groups simply go their respective ways? Are they waiting for violence to break out, before allowing the different ethnic groups to go their different ways? This street renaming simply bid a symbol of bewitching the citizens who believe more. One wonders the sense in renaming Mba street, which has been so for decades. How will the people of Ajegunle suddenly switch. The same for Osho drive, a very popular street in Ajegunle. Why not rename Goriola or Nosamu streets? APC is such a petty group. Is it not time for breakup? |
asfrank:What has Tinubu done better than GEJ? Can you please explain? He led a very aggressive and abusive campaign of calumny and protests against GEJ in 2012, to stop the then very well intended fuel subsidy removal. The same fuel subsidy, BAT removed on his inauguration day. The problem was not the removal of fuel subsidy, but the delay, beating about the bush and rigmaroling from 2014 until 2023. Nigerians were then further pushed into deeper poverty. What would Obi do differently? Accountability. Remember that Obi started lamenting just before the last election about stealing of Nigerian crude. Obi gave the right figures of the daily losses. APC under Buhari attacked him, but the truth was glaring to Nigerians who love the nation. The question was how a country with such resources would watch certain people steal resources with impunity. Why would non state actors loot gold and other rare earth minerals in the north and no one seems bothered. If there’s accountability, would such resources not be used to develop the country? Granted that countries borrow to fix their countries. Do our leaders borrow to fix the country, or they borrow to loot? What happened for example to some of the monies recovered from the likes of Abacha? Why is it impossible to tackle corruption with sincerity? That’s what Obi will do differently among others. |
