AntiChristian:And who told you that mosques do not pay taxes? |
GanagiBitrus:Did you read anywhere in the story where it was mentioned that the children are not comfortable? Do you think that they are not well fed or given their due? |
casualobserver:In the period of transition from military rule to democracy in 1999, the multi-party system was adopted, and three political parties, namely, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the All People’s Party (APP) and the Alliance for Democracy (AD) were registered by INEC. These parties participated in the 1999 general elections, in which the PDP emerged as the dominant political party in Nigeria. AD won in the SW, APP won in the north PDP won everywhere. Tell us how of the three parties, you singled out PDP as the party that introduced thuggery? Did PDP win Lagos where Tinubu won the Governorship? Were you too young to know that before Tinubu became the governor, a certain Buba Marwa as the the governor wiped out thuggery from the streets of Lagos. Were you too young to note that thuggery returned and remained the moment Tinubu became the candidate and won the Election? Who has sustained agbero unions in Lagos since 1999? PDP abi? Go and learn your history again. |
Ebubu:Who knows, perhaps one day you will find yourself there! |
SmartyPants:Dami DID NOT make it in her own way. She was never known until she tried to copy cook-a-thon and take the shine off Hilda Baci. Your Dami never heard the words cook-a-thon. The moment she noticed the popularity, she jumped into the fray, believing that she could achieve it. Nobody ever knew her from anywhere until she copied like others who tried to do it after others too. Stop living in that lie. |
LagosOrigin:It is so disappointing this copycat life. Hilda Baci takes her time, does her research and comes out very original, while some lazy copycats wait around the corner to spoil the mood. Do not be surprised very soon to hear “the largest pot of ewedu, gbegiri, okro, eforiro, amala”, etc. |
Now, all the children have become fatherless and motherless. The women will not have sex the rest of their lives, as they will spend the rest of their lives in prison. Now no such thing as a decent bed, as the hard floor will be their bed all their lives. They will no longer have the opportunity to cook in a kitchen all their lives, as they would be served prisoner’s food the rest of their lives. No more friends to advise them foolishly. After prison sentencing, the ladies may never see each other again. They may never see their children again. Their children would be labeled the children whose mothers killed their father and they would be pariahs in the Otuocha community. They will resort to blaming each other. They will never have peace again. The rest of their lives would be lived regretting their actions. What a foolish thing to do. |
And the right side of the thug’s shirt shows the APC logo. What a shame. |
ChirstFireAltar:Abi. They need to manage it, expecting people like you to enjoy some time there getting better! |
“Ordered” or “requested”? That headline should be corrected please. It should read “requested” and not “ordered”. By the way, what are they investigating about the emergency rule in the state? They wanted it by their actions and got it. Even at that, if resources were mismanaged, where will they find the power to probe the man that BAT installed there on their behalf? |
And the water purifier at the top of the shelf for children to get clean water to drink. Fantastic. That’s an expensive size. Good plan. Children can learn Uba very conducive environment. Hopefully the fees will not be beyond the lower earning citizens. Thank you very much to the donor. |
LagosOrigin:Giving Nigeria a bad name? So now na Nigeria e dey give bad name? |
Igirigimercenar:A so called serving governor that was handcuffed and chained by the ex governor who put him on the seat. There is no doubt that the governor was only given the paper to accent to by the ex governor. There was nothing for Fubara to add as contribution. It is a big shame in this country. |
kingthreat:Ambode was on verge of changing it all, but the ogas with the remote control stopped him from returning for his second term. |
Ofunaofu:He certainly will not be released any more. The impunity shows that he had been killing people and getting away with this. His cup filled up with this one. He must be locked away for the rest of his violent life. |
He not only brutalized, but killed the person. Now he is remanded at Panti street and will not enjoy such foolish liberty given to him by NURTW the rest of his life. Hopefully no one will attempt to use “Abuja connection” to free the this fellow from life jail. Without doubt, it is long overdue to proscribe that NURTW and RETEAN. Those unions are just associations to trouble citizens and make life harder for all. |
imiski:But na the bag e snap so for you to see. Ghana must go must not continue to be synonymous with money. Charlie showed all the honesty of the Obi and the true friendship existing between them. |
izzou:Sure, here the dynamics are different. The only similarity is the truck driving itself. However which ever way it is operated, the truck driver makes his money, whether he owns the truck or is employed as the driver. The reasons why there are delays in approaching destinations are several. There are terrible roads, security, huge traffic jams, etc. Infact at some time last year, it took trucks days to navigate just the Benin bypass. If you own your own truck, you make more money because you do not have have to pay driver’s salary. NUPENG played into the hands of Dangote. For so many years, NUPENG held the entire nation by the jugular. Distribution has always been an issue. By labour laws, Dangote drivers and staff must belong to the labour union. However, Dangote reserves the right to run his business the way it wishes. With direct delivery to service stations, the feeding bottle is off the mouths of NUPENG officials. In all, we have witnessed consistency with petrol delivery, since the incoming of Dangote refinery. |
izzou:You can make VERY GOOD income driving all types of trucks. You do not need any underhand or wayo. You do not need to sell people’s diesel or diesel in any form to get good payment. Tanker drivers are huge risk takers and they earn VERY HANDSOMELY. Drivers are able to build mansions and drive jeeps of their choices. You can enrol to learn truck driving and you will not regret it. Note that in Nigeria drivers are VERY WELL paid, either when driving for companies or for single truck owners, who do not have registered companies yet. The same goes for truck drivers in the whole of Africa. The same with other continents. But you see, truck drivers earn more heavily in the USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, UK, Australia, Germany, New Zealand etc. Their currencies make Nigerians who work there have a little advantage over those in Nigeria. Learn truck driving and you will not regret it. |
Proudlyngwa:If leaders are citizens, all citizens are Presidents, Hovernors, Legislators, council Chairmen and councillors? Such warped thinking! So everyone in Ngwaland is in charge of healthcare, roads, public utilities, etc? Why do citizens praise Alex Otti, and Ngwa people call him a proud son of the land, if not that he’s delivering to an extent in his capacity as the leader? |
How can they ever be the same? No be for this life. Abi officials no go collect share and tell athletes that money had not been provided? They are never ready and always expect sports people to easily win. No proper training facilities, no follow up, no financing, nothing, yet we hear of the humongous amounts provide by government. Most end up embezzled. Why should we blame sports people who choose to represent other countries, seeing the wickedness of those in authority? And those in authority shamelessly tell us that sports unify Nigerians. If that’s the only thing that unifies Nigerians, why not make the sports people proud of what they do for the country? |
Why blame the citizens only? Why not blame leadership? When leaders are elected to provide basic health facilities and they embezzle the funds? When leaders fail to build proper health infrastructures and use the same funds to travel abroad to treat themselves and family members, what do you expect? Even Presidents too ensure that they are treated abroad. What do you expect? With nowhere to run to and no health facilities, including poor health education, don’t you expect citizens to attribute seizures to spiritual attacks? Even you OP, if you did not get some information, would you not hold to that belief? And by the way, who says that by means of black majic seizures cannot happen? Na who tell you that kind thing? Abi you wan form Oyibo for us here? |
RetroviralS:There was never any lie at any point. Medical science evolved. Medical science discovered HIV/Aids. Drugs were discovered, not to heal, but to manage. It required several drugs to control initially, including social habits. Over time medicine made further discovery regarding drugs and there it is today with ARVs all over. The lie came with herbal practitioners claiming that they had drugs that could cure HIV/AIDS and people fell for it. I knew someone who fell for it and lost his life. That’s the lie when you claim success over what you knew nothing about in the first place. |
Sonnobax15:Only you first look the face of the soup wey you post. How person wan look that kind face get interest? How person wan see am like am? You no know say banga and Owoh no be mate? Next time choose banga, or even nsala, which is by far the best soup on your Delta state cover owoh. |
Can we ever plan, think or even desire to have such in Nigeria? Impossicant! |
SarkinYarki:I cooled down already. Congestive heart failure is a serious matter. Agreed many move around with it, believing that “all is well”. For someone like Wike, if his Doctor advised him to do a bypass surgery, then he should do it, as he is easily able to afford the cost and recovery time. If he chooses, he can have a defribillator. If the story is true, he may only be scared of his title and wealth, which pale in the face of fixing his health now and hoping for less heart challenge in the future. |
This story is very poor. I do not believe it. Do you know what it means by “congestive heart failure”? Do you know what it means when you have heart failure and your Doctor says that you need surgery? Do you think that patience has a choice? Do you think the patience even has time to play around with, how much more talk about his job? This is a life threatening condition that needs serious attention. If Wike has lost weight, it is to his advantage. His heart, liver and kidney need the weight loss. |
SavageResponse:That’s his opinion. We agree that certain members of the film industry are not able to purchase such luxury cars with payments from that industry, but there are those who are easily able. Funke Akindele comes to mind. With the mind blowing figures from her movies, can Yemi Solade prove that her wealth is not largely from that source? What about the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, those with box office hits consistently? If he talks about the men, it is understandable, as their payments are not commensurate wiry they’re efforts. Those of them in the industry can insist on getting better pay, if they want. |
omoredia:Who are the “una”? Yourself or your leaders? |
