Please people of God, been trying to get a date for my practical driving test in Warwick but I can't seem to find one. I have checked up till next year June and still can't find a date. I booked a date in another center far from me, one of these villages in the hope to use these canceling apps to book a date and centre of choice but it's been a month now and nothing from gov.uk site and the cancelation apps either.

Seems like Warwick. Coventry, Birmingham and Nuneaton are fully booked.

Please any advise on how to move forward will be appreciated. This non driving is really limiting me.

The consequence of breaching, is deportation..........

Apply for a provisional license, do your theory driving test, start learning how to drive (driving school or using a car insured for a PL driver + a holder of a full UK driving licence for 3 years, next to you + L plates displayed front and rear)....... Emphasis on all the aforementioned...... DON'T DRIVE A VEHICLE ON UK ROADS, INDEPENDENTLY WHILST ONLY HOLDING A PL........

Check for best possible deals to get a discount or buy a bicycle (use a helmet + reflective lights + reflective clothing)........ cheesy
Thanks Boss. Appreciate your inputs.

Hey guys, thanks for always coming through when I ask questions or make enquiries here.

Please do you think I should apply for a provisional driver's license. I know how to drive, I have access to cars but my driving is naija style so I intend to take driving lessons so polish my driving the UK style. What do you advise?

Also what are the consequences of breaching the 20hrs one is allowed to work?

How do I save on transportation? For example, if I will be travelling by bus all week, how do I get discounts? I normally buy day saver tickets.

Why did you not open a student account, from year one?.... huh

Before you lose that student account privileges, better hop on it.....

A YouTube video about CC posted, track it down and watch it..... wink
I am a post graduate student. When I came, there was lockdown for a long time so I had to make do with a virtual bank account but I need a real one now as the virtual account restricts me. Also, how do I stop missing my way whenever I go out? And knowing the right bus to enter too. Google map doesn't help sometimes, some other times, when I ask questions, most of the people are just like me trying to find their way too.

Today, I was to enter Bus 21, I did enter 21 but this one wasn't going my way.. Its confusing sometimes.
I don waka lost plenty times...whew.

What bank would you advise that I can get access to credit card to build my credit profile and ease of banking.
In my 3rd semester so is it advisable to open a student account?

Good Evening all,

I arrived the UK on the 14th of Jan. but up till now I have not collected my BRP, I'm suppose to pick up from my sponsor which is my school. They sent me an email to inform me that they don't have my BRP, that I should contact the home office. I am suppose to travel by the end of march, but I don't think that is possible now.

How can I go about this pls?
Write to home office. They sent mine to my address after I sent a mail. But it should be those in charge of your school, for example, mine was UKVICheck@myschool.co.uk so be sure of exactly where yours should go.

In the aboki world, it's all about trust....... You cannot get scammed..... Simply because, you receive funds first, then transfer equivalent.........

Just ensure you check your bank account that funds have hit, before you remit...... No go fall for Oluwole sms.......

Remember, you might charge commission, if people calculate moneyfex etc etc, and the rate is negligible, you lose that forex business....

The rate of forex might be high this minute and plunges the next....(although not happened of recent times) So it's a game of day after day....... grin
Thank you.

If your friend is willing let him get a contract for you in his name, and after a few months in the country they can switch the name on the contract to yours. They'll need to do a credit check then, but hopefully you'd be able to pass checks for sim only contract.
Thank you very much.

TheGuyFromHR:
Giffgaff gives you unlimited texts and unlimited minutes and 500MB data at 6 quid a month, pay as you go.
Lebara is 5 quid a month, same unlimited texts and calls to UK numbers and I think 2 gig data (check).

Most telcos allow you to order a SIM online and they'll post it to you at no cost.

You'll have to be creditchecked for a contract.
Thank you so much. You guys are so reliable here.

Try Lycamobile, Giffgaff or Lebara for PayG. With £5-10 monthly, you get about 1,000 minutes, 2-4gb data and 100 mins to about 40 countries (Nigeria not included).
For contract, you need to have been resident in the UK for a certain period of time but if you meet the criteria, you can get one eg. Vodafone has an unlimited national call limit with 5gb at £12.75
You are a life saver. Thank you so much.

Please i was told there's a new rule to quarantine on arrival. There is an option of going to do the COVID test instead of quaratining for 14days.

If it comes out negative, you are good. Please anyone know how true this is?
