WebmastersRe: Critic This Website by Elgaxton(op): 3:21pm On Jul 08, 2008
1) The Flash movie does not seem well thought out. I mean sure to the plain eye, it looks nice but a a second look, you almost get that it is not as good.

2) Using a template is a good idea but you have to work on making that template your own meaning you have to customize it to fit your need and business.
KoboJunkie, Why do u feel its a template?
WebmastersRe: Critic This Website by Elgaxton(op): 3:11pm On Jul 08, 2008
Hey guys,

Thanks for your responses so far?

1) Intro page: Why the long gray bar to the right?

2) Intro page: The "atom" orbits around the "v" seems a little fuzzy at first. Why not use vector graphics there?

3) Global: Why is the "contact us" a link and the other menu items images?

4) Contact us page: No form. Why?

5) Global: Your page header images (eg. "Bukola Concepts"wink are too large. Average size was 89K. Refer to one of my posts: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-146260.0.html for more on this.

6) Flash everywhere: I also wrote a post on this : https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-147722.0.html - refer to it.

In general: good job! I also think you stand to benefit from my upcoming Ebook.
Hi Yawa,

Answers to your questions,

1). long gray bar is just a style ok which I can't explain fully now.

2).I wanted to but the client says emphasis must be on the V ie the company name

3).I made the contact us a link simply becos the website was completely taken over by buttons here and there,

na the client kept bringing up new things he wanted on the site so I no see space to place contact us.

4). It was based on the clients request, my dear na fight i dey face everyday with the client o.

5). Header pages, I will work on that right now, probably used the wrong image (thanks)

6). Flash everywhere right, so I thought, that is the problem with Nigerian clients they want you to go below standards

to achieve their stuff, I had to beg the client in order not to allow the site clogged up with flash.

in fact he did not pay me upfront until he saw all those plenty flash.

You will not believe most of the content of the website came when I was ready to host, he just brought out a book and

said I should type everything i despite my plenty begging.

in fact I actually posted this thread cos of all the sites I have done,

this one was very perculiar so I wanted to see if y'all will reason along the same lines with me

Christianity EtcRe: Pay Your Tithe Or Save A Relative's Life? by Elgaxton(m): 3:48pm On Jun 24, 2008
Save a relative's live first of course but I still gat to pay my tithe afterwards.

Be it unto you according to your belief. God is not man, He looketh at the heart not action all the times. Your motive for giving tithes or for skipping it will determine how God handles your case.
Very nice and classic statement, God bless you jintujinta

For all I know, God is not gonna punish anyone for paying tithe,
that I'm very sure of so all this gra gra about not paying tithe na
indication of stinginess or ignorance.

Ten percent of my income aint gonna hurt me or anyone.

CelebritiesOliver De Coque Dies! by Elgaxton(op): 5:43pm On Jun 23, 2008
Death seems to be having a feast on Nigerian musicians as highlife maestro Oliver de Coque on Friday joined the growing list of dead musicians in recent times. Oliver de Coque who was crowned king of highlife music by Alaafin of Oyo in 1994 joined Sammy Needle, Steve Rhodes and Sunny Okosun who died recently.

Oliver de Coque died at a private hospital on Friday about 5pm of health issues related to cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the hospital by 2pm after he complained of dizziness and three hours later the Anambra-born highlife musician gave up the ghost.

Oliver de Coque during his lifetime was an accomplished musician who became popular with his brand of highlife. He started playing music in 1974 after he learnt how to play guitar from Piccolo and he has about 86 albums to his credit. He played a major role during civil war playing music for the Biafran soldiers.

What makes his death pathetic is that his mother’s corpse is still in the morgue. She died sometimes ago and has since been deposited in the mortuary because Oliver was planning to finish the house he was building in his village.

He shot to limelight in 1979 when he released People’s Club Ka anyi bili be ndu (People’s Club let us enjoy ourselves). The album was said to have sold over 2 million copies at the time. Among his hits are Funny Funny Identity, Ugbana, Easter Special, Ana enwe obodo enwe, and a couple of others. Messiah his first album was released in 1974.

He will be remembered for his praise singing and unique voice, and his shinning bears. His image loomed large across the nation and even beyond. His popularity was not in doubt such that so many people thought he was a Cameroonia. Oliver who got married at the age of 20 is survived by children and grand-children.

Sonny Okosun Is Dead, (R.I.P.)

Tru SPot and Niyitabiti are reporting that Legendary Highlife/Gospel singer Sonny Okosun, whose songs we love so much has passed away. The Legend died in the US at the age of 61 of a disease that had just started as an infection in his colon months ago.

www.niyitabiti..com gathered that Okosun, popularly known as King of Ozzidi music lost his life today, after a long battle with a disease. He died in Howard,United States of America.
An impeccable source who spoke to http://www.niyitabiti.blogpot.com/ says close family members are already in contact with some his close associates so that they can plan a beffitting burial for the 'African Soilder'exponent. He would be remembered as one of the fathers of music in the country.

He also contributed to changing the Nigerian music in the 80s and 90s.Okosun is also the founder of Hosue of Prayers' a church located in Ogba,Lagos. He was also a friend to many prominent Nigerian leaders such as Late Bashorun MKO Abiola,General Ibrahim Babangida and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the immediate past president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
