Politics / Akeredolu In N3million Fraud Allegation by elimokhai(m): 8:08am On Sep 17, 2012
The Akeredolu Campaign organisation (ACO) of the Ondo State Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) yesterday challenged a “faceless” organisation, which accused its governorship candidate, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), of fraud to petition the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) to investigate the alleged N3 million fraud.
The former Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) President promised to submit himself and his company, AKT Ventures, for a probe by security agents.
A statement by the organisation’s Director of Media, Publicity and Strategy, Mr Idowu Ajanaku, said: “For us at ACO, this is a baseless, wanton and cheap attempt to bring the name of Akeredolu (SAN) to disrepute by this irresponsible association called Good Governance Monitor (GGM), allegedly sponsored by Governor Olusegun Mimiko and his drowning Labour Party (LP).
“Thus, the allegation that Akeredolu diverted N3 million donated by the Niger State Government is false.
“This so-called ‘scandal’ has already been investigated by the top level of NBA and Akeredolu had been acquitted of any misconduct, undue influence or manipulation of the process as far back as 2010.
“The National Executive Committee’s (NEC’s) decision was contained in paragraph eight (cool of the communiqué signed by the General Secretary, Ibrahim Eddy, and the Publicity Secretary, Muritala Abdul-Rasheed, issued at the end of the NBA meeting on June 3 and 4, 2010, under the subhead: AKT Ventures and the NBA.
“It states inter-alia: ‘For the avoidance of doubt, the NEC reiterates and adopts the decision of the committee of former Presidents, which had absolved the current President of the NBA from any wrongdoing concerning the affairs of AKT Ventures Limited and its relationship with the NBA’.”
ACO recalled that Akeredolu’s contribution to the NBA was recently recognised when the association named its headquarters in Abuja after him.
The organisation noted that this speaks volume on how the body of learned men perceives him and his leadership.
The statement added: “In our reckoning, Akeredolu is not only a man of pedigree, but he is honest and straightforward; he is focused and determined to make Ondo State better.
“(He is) unlike Mimiko, who has played to the gallery for three and a half years. Then governor only has markets, stalls, maternity homes and boreholes to show for the huge revenue accrued to the state. His administration has been recording a litany of abandoned projects, such as the Doom-dome, Akure TownshipS, Owena Multi-purpose Dam, Akure-Owo Road, Ondo-Akure road, Arakale road, Arigidi tomato paste factory.
“No amount of cheap lies, sponsored propaganda and blackmail by Mimiko, his co-travellers and faceless organisations against Akeredolu will save the governor from being rooted out in the October 20 poll by the Ondo State people.”

dammytosh: That you are not bringing money does not mean u are not adding to the family. I prefer a wife holding the house than a 50k per month salary earner. If u take extreme good care of the house and make sure everything is in place, he should place u on salary as if he empoyed some one to do dt for him.

After your marriage just try as much as possible :

1. Do not nag.
2. Do not conclude that everything happening in d house was as a result of u not having a job.
3. Do not leave things undone while watching dstv.
4. Be diligent,
5. Keep fit and don't explode (fat)
6. Use this time to read about being a wife and parenting
7. Time to give birth to ur first child.
8. Pick interest in whatever he is interested in d little time he spends at home. You watching superstory when Real Madrid is playing Barcelona will add to d time ur man will spend outside d home.
9. Be extra patient and dnt be unnecessarily sensitive.(that he has really changed thinking)
10. Time to know more about what he likes. Imagine u chatting ur baby dt is a politics freak and analyzing Michelle Obama's speech or u being the first to tell him Michael Essien has moved to Real Madrid.

The list continues ............ More about financing shortly.

OP please don't listen to this first class crap. He'll lead you astray. Please flee from the devil I beg you IJN, he is one. Without a JOB, you can NEVER earn that respect from your husband and even the society, you can NEVER be right in decision making at home, even in the kitchen, your husband sees you as a burden, maybe not immediately but later, its not healthy for a woman to be idle in marriage
Phones / Re: Can You Do Without Your Phone For 20 Minutes by elimokhai(m): 4:46am On Sep 05, 2012

Family / Re: Getting Married Without A Job by elimokhai(m): 4:23am On Sep 05, 2012
Please get a job as fast as you can even if the pay is little, you’ll always earn your respect in the house, it keeps marriage stronger. Don’t just feed fat on your husband, he’ll never respect you. You didn’t get that education only to become a stay at home mom. Soon you’ll start making kids which makes it more difficult for job haunting, each child you have keeps you in the house for 12months year, you keep procrastinating, and you’ll end up thinking of opening a shop, trading turkey and food stuffs whereas you had a dream of becoming a top executive in a multinational, Nigeria mentality. If your husband doesn’t see that zeal in you as it were during courtship, marriage will always crumble. You want to buy maggi, it’s your husband, toothpaste, and it’s your husband. He sees you as burden, the beauty start fading away, you start getting FAT, and love diminishes, cheating start taking place. This is not what you want, please get a job, yes even before marriage, don't be deceived

On Sunday, we were here discussing Mrs Jonathan's medical trip to Germany, On Monday Dr. Abati vehemently denied it. Today we are here on same subject, different ailment, Now Diezani hospitalized. Who/what do we believe? I'll rather wait to hear from Dr. Abati tomorrow before I can comment on this subject.

berem: whether he is handsome or fugly I hate the sight of it on their neck.I remember back then in the university,a particular lecturer walks out any guy he sees wearing a necklace in the lecture room.its so disgusting!! ewwww!

You and the lecturer are so BUSH. I refuse to use the word poverty. We all went to school, no lecturer will ever chase a student out of the class for wearing a necklace. I use to plait my hair when i was in 200L until a female lecturer confronted me never to come to her class with my hair weaved, yes i understand but not necklaces, it never affected my grades anyway, but now its a NO NO for me simply because I've outgrown it, but i'll never criticize those that are still into it like charlyboy. Mrs. If you like wear panties , I will never criticize you, you will always grow up to realize it's meant for the younger ones, but rock while the time permits. NO CRIME in trying to be adventurous.
As for the jeans, which one is really referred to as skinny jeans? Wear what fits you, that’s fashion rules. Do you prefer I wear oversize? D’banj looks sexy because he never puts on oversize, picture him wearing a baggy jeans and xxl polo t-shirt

I see nothing wrong in wearing necklace.

Family / Re: Ever Felt Like You Married The Wrong Person? by elimokhai(m): 6:40pm On Sep 01, 2012
debrief08: Go and look at yourself in the mirror and start saying positive things about yourself.
Look at yourself as Precious not as "mrs" this or that, start loving yourself first, if you don't love or respect yourself no one else will.
Stop being a doormat, be a human being first before being a wife, also teach your children that marriage is not their goal in life, their goal in life should be to be productive, respectful, serve God through serving humanity, seek Gods purpose in their lives and fulfil it.
When our time in the world ends, God wouldn't ask if you married or single, he will ask if you did what he sent you to do. We put so much pressure on ourselves to fulfil societail pressure that we forsake Gods plans for us, and rush into rubbish. When you have a bad marriage everything else in your life will loose focus.
When I talk about serving God I am not talking about Pastor worship or fasting and prayers, I am talking about serving others, taking beverages for strangers in the hospital who can't afford it, buying books for children in public schooks who can't afford it. That is service to God.
Love yourself, You were not born to be "mrs", you were born for Gods glory, only you can achieve that

Inconsequential to the topic, no point digressing. Learn to be direct. Yes or NO?

@OP. No, I didn't mary the wrong partner, having said that marriage is not working for me. I hate that I got married at age 27 now 30. I'm a VERY good father but imperfect husband. Guess we both fell out of love even though we're still living together, to be honest marriage is not working for me, if its working for you, happy for you. I HAVE no regrets.

Idiagbonya Osarere Deborah better known as Debbie was on TV/C this morning to plead with Nigerians to save her life.

She is suffering from breast cancer, but has started her treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) with the 'Chemo-Therapy' at the hospital. According to her the chemo treatment would precede the main surgical operation to remove the cancer.

However, she still needs money to complete her treatment, she needs 6Million for the surgery which she already had but she needs additional 4million for the Chemotheraphy, but already she had to start treatments because of the time frame she has to complete the surgery in order to survive.

She has begged Nigerians to pray for her to survive the surgery.

Donations can still be made here.
