trapQ:ok. I guess your religion taught you how to insult people. |
MrSly:What sort of nonsense is that? How does he knowing that shit you think he knows change the fact that he said what was in his heart that you have been to shit into religion that is stunting our growth as a people? |
Fronesis:Remove religion from Nigeria...we will have a great nation, but have everyone going to hell. What is your point exactly? |
it takes a special kind of maneuver for the average religious person especially in Nigeria,to develop the society. For example: as a citizen, you will need to report any wrong done to you to the police to deal with your offender;but instead, as a christian, you will forgive him in your heart because that is what you were taught (or worst still, you pray for that enemy to die). And again, as a citizen you are taught to report any suspicious person in your neighbourhood to the police, but as a christain you are told not to be a snitch and gossiper. As a citizen you are taught to respect and love every other person;but as a christian,it takes a special effort not to be biased to others based on differences in religious beliefs. As a human and citizen of Nigeria, you are expected show total loyalty to the course of the nation and humanity as a whole; however, as a Christian, your loyalty does not lie with your country or humanity but with your supposed God. When things fail, you don't take responsibilities,. Your motivation to better humanity is not derived from sheer altruism, but to please your God. Look at these points critically and judge. If you argue that religion is not the cause of our backwardness, then what is that? |
ISLAMBAD:Thank you for the enlightenment. I will make a research on the issue. I read somewhere that Britain supported Biafra at the initial stage when they claimed that they were being killed for being Christians; they were later convinced by the Nigerian government that it wasn't a religious war. |
Moorish:I can not deny the fact that the Igbo are showing signs of inferiority as a result of the civil war; I hate that mentality, seriously! And likewise,I will state the fact that the yorubas are playing second class citizenship to the north; and i wonder if they fought the war only to hand the victory to them. The politics of the yorubas tend to show that they are satisfied with whatever they get as far as it is better than the igbos. It is a very healthy mentality. This mentality limits the yoruba nation, which should be competing in the comity of nations in civilization and innovations. There is a whole lot the yorubas will get if they take their noses outta the asses of the nose and focus in building either Nigeria of their dreams or the Oduduwa of the dreams. |
Moorish:You need to understand that the Igbos were not fighting the yorubas;the hausas; or the ijaws, as individual tribes...they fought with Nigeria! The reason why I called it cowardice was because, there was good reasons to support Biafra exit as at that time. Remember that the Igbos suffered for the actions of the yorubas? In 1946 or so,they were murdered in their numbers in the north without any provocations from them; in 1953 or so,they were murdered in their numbers again. And these were caused by the yorubas basically. It was during the pre- independent meeting in Lagos State that the rancour happened between the yorubas and hausas, which led to the murder of majority Igbos in the North. And that was the reason Igbos celebrated in the north when the coup of 1966 happened. So,at that point when the Igbos sought to secede, there was good reasons for the yorubas to support their exit. There was good reasons for the ijaws to support it,too; since they were the first to agitate to secede. Sincerely speaking,I really want the east and west to cooperate, likewise the north. The problem we have is not the average northerner, easterner or westerner, but our elites. If we tackle the elites, then our problems are solved. But in the meantime,I really want the west to cooperate with the east. God has blessed the west with the strategic position after the civil war to either mar or make Nigeria. They are the only ones that can tackle the excesses of the north, since they are the co-victors with the north,so now they should act like victors and not be subservient to the north. |
DavidEsq:hello boss, please check your mail. |
HeyCorleone:The kind of perseverance yahoo boys have in their work is enough to find ones foot and prosper legally. |
Simbrixton:yea, sure! But u guys acted cowardly then. Fact! But i am glad u r proving me wrong with ilorin as a case study. Kudos |
Simbrixton:Good. You see, you really needed the "afonja" bashing to start this laudable revolution to prove your worth. My problem is,u are not taking it in good faith. |
Moneywomen17:Thanks for the facts. |
Simbrixton:Good for you! I appreciate the facts you have shown, and I apologize. It is a good thing you guys are doing away with the spirit of afonja, just like the imam. I like the awakening! |
Alariiwo:The real enemies of the yorubas are the yorubas who feel that they can be superior in the south by slaving before the north. All in the name of spiting the Igbos, the Yoruba can not stop to sniff the farts of the north. kontinyu! |
Simbrixton:the last time it happened,it took the supports of world powers, over 240 ethnic groups, and three good years to fight one ethnic group-the igbos. I swear,if it were the yorubas, even for just one week, you guys would have been history with no trace of yoruba fossils. So be humble where the igbos are, we ain't mates. And moreover,be very very humble before the hausa fulanis! |
Simbrixton:And likewise you,you yorubas will always have your noses in hausa fulani asses until the end of time. If you think I am joking, try to take back kwara state. |
GavelSlam:No hope at all! |
He deserves the accolades for doing well for himself and the Nation. I wish he can impact same policing skills to his colleagues in order to make the police system formidable. Because,at the end of the day,we don't only need strong men but also strong institutions. # kudos to him. |
Professor Ndimeli, sir Austin Sado,Innocent Kasarachi, and lastly, professor Alerachi. These are the only lecturers in the Department of Linguistics and Communication Studies, who know why they are lecturers. #Uniport. |

When u read stuffs like this, and then one person comes to tell u that homosexually is natural...we can now see that a good number of them r victims of abuse who go about enjoying what they were introduced to. |
DynasTee:I can't agree less. However, that has only betrayed him; he can not change the status quo,not now or in the future. |
DynasTee:If resignation is the only power a VP can exercise, then he should honorably do so. That message is quite clearer in instances of a tyrant president. I still stand that Osinbajo will not make a good president; he has been so lucky to enjoy an enormously great but undue respect from the masses and the president himself. But that respect has not transformed him to bringing any ingenuity to the system. I can not see him bringing any new ideologies into bear that which is different from the normal politicians ways. So,the failure of this government remains his failure. |
DynasTee:I agree with you to an extent, that what really matters is the president. But it is my opinion that a VP who has his loyalty lying with the constitution and the people will not be silent on important matters were he feels he has superior understanding of issues. You see,he will not stay idle and watch a tyrant president! That is number one. He has an option of resignation if he has a strong reason to disagree with the president on the method of governance, especially that which goes against his ideology. The truth is that, our leaders don't have personal ideologies on what governance should be,and that is why the bandwagon effect greatly undermines the quality of leadership. (the president enjoys too much power and followership, whether he is a tyrant or not). |
Chiedu4Trump:either ijaw or kalabari |
EMMAUGOH:check out quora, then compare am with dis site. we have a long way to go. |
I don't know why scientists are not putting more efforts in halting death, than that exhausted in looking for distant planets and all that technological breakthroughs. Until we do so,humans can not create a purpose for themselves, rather we will continue to serve the purpose of life: created by evolution or God. This is true because the only real and ultimate purpose that man can create out of this life which is devoid of evolution or God, is halting death. Death makes all of our lives' endeavours and stress meaningless. It is death we all fear! # Jesus is the only purpose giver;he makes meanings out everything. |
DynasTee:I will take u serious on ur submission if only we were like ghana,South africa or America. We have very unique issues that involve the lives of Nigerians: people are dying in their numbers to herdsmen attacts, boko haram,e.t.c. A vice president whose loyalty lies with the people and constitution, will not have his voice silent in crucial matters despite his portfolio. He has an option of resigning if his voice is not heard in important issues. But, we can not hear that voice in Benue State where people are being killed, we can not hear that voice in the dying economy, e.t.c. Osibanjo's voice and action is not heard or seen--or frankly,we do hear and see an Osibanjo whose loyalty lies with the presidency. |
DynasTee:To say that only few can perform better than him is an insult on the over 180million nigerians. Me think Osinbajo does not deserve any special accolades;so far,he has not done anything spectacular beyond what has been dictated to him. For example, the niger-delta militant issue that he mediated and resolved was not necessarily a product of his doing. At some point the presidency saw the futility of their refusal to negotiate,so he was eventually sent to clean the mess of his principal. This is true, because if he had a mind of his own or were influential in the govt, then the approach would have been proactive and not escalated to that extent of loosing so much oil to pipelines vandalism. I don't know if it is just me that like to assess Osinbanjo's performance based on the achievements of the whole government. Every history student knows the achievements of pres. Buhari in the '80's, and so do not expect much. But,sadly, things haven't changed. Therefore, expecting Osinbanjo to perform better when he becomes the president only shows that mental sickness we suffer as a people: expecting what is not there, and seeing that which is not there. Hallucinations! |
